Very unsatisfied client.

I paid my part of $1 as it shown on the site. I checked the bank statement online. Charged me $1 plus $24 something. Recieved the report, got no information on reports but only make and model. Even tho, i tried to get back on. It wont let me get back in my account while it wont allow me type in my new password. It seem to be scam. But i am very unsatisfied client. I want refund.

It’s a scam

All these review responses say that the additional $25 was “very clear” and at the top of the page, but all I saw when I checked was a small banner that didn’t say that I was going to be charged and doesn’t state that that’s what I’m paying for, many sites put offers on banners like that. I believe this is a scam because it doesn’t state that you will be charged $25.

Report with no information

I just got a report. Scam. Says my state does not provide information to them. Could have told me before I paid. Do not use this site. Rip off.

Hi Emily,

We do not advertise a trial membership anywhere on our website. We have never made use of a trial model. Furthermore, we do not have a customer under your name in our system.

Our website advertises a $1 vehicle history pre-purchase essentials report, which means you're charged $1 for the initial report that you query. The purchase that follows is clearly disclosed on the following page, before ever obtaining your billing information. The offer that is shown to a customer varies - a customer may see a weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly subscription option. In all cases, there is a large banner at the top of the page that plainly discloses the term and full price of the plan. Using the example of a bi-weekly (every two weeks) subscription option, the following appears in large text placed inside a banner with a bright green background: "Save Money. Volume Discount Package of $25 per two weeks, for 12 months, Total $599 Up to 25 Biweekly Reports". Additionally, the purchase details are disclosed an additional two times on this page - once in the Money Back Guarantee box, and once in the Order Summary box. Furthermore, the customer is asked to check a box that signals their affirmative consent to be charged in accordance with the Order Summary. On the next page (after placing the order), the customer is asked to provide their signature.

If you're unsatisfied with our service and would like a full refund issued to you immediately, or require assistance with anything else, please feel free to reach out to support@vehiclehistory.us.org (response in under 24 hours), live chat us 24/7 at vehiclehistory.us.org, or call us 24/7 at 1-800-856-7198. We'd be happy to process an easy, no questions asked refund for you.

SCAM SCAM BEWARE!

I bought the 1$ charge for the vin check which did not help. I used a card with only 1$ on it so I didn't get any other charges but got 2 text saying “24.95 was not charged to your account” which was them trying to take it, and “7.98 was not charged” which was them again, I am convinced they are trying to take whatever they can get.

Please note (and I have confirmed this with our backend development staff) - we do not, and have never had a policy of attempting to bill lower amounts to "take whatever [we] can get." There is absolutely no functionality in any of our back-end or front-end systems that would facilitate this kind of billing.

THIS SITE IS PURE FRAUD!!

THIS SITE IS PURE FRAUD!!! STAY AWAY!!!

This site offers a vehicle history report, but then before finishing the report, it request a payment of $1, and requires a bunch of personal information. Then when you trigger the $1 credit card payment, the button for getting the report does nothing, but instead it sends you to a screen that says you now get 25 reports in the next month. Check your credit card, and you'll find you were charged $1 and $24.99. I found a button to request a refund, and got a screen that says "one of our friendly support staff will issue a refund as soon as possible." We'll see. So as of now, I'm out $25.99 and haven't received a single report.

Hi wunfstgsr,

I'm happy to hear that our service is simply and easy for consumers. However, I'm deeply concerned that it took three calls for you to obtain a refund. A single call, live chat, or email is all that is required to obtain a cancellation or refund. If you'd like us to look into why this anomaly occurred, please send an email with your purchase details to support@vehiclehistory.us.org.

Possible scam

In October 2020 I was about to buy a car. I paid $1 via a credit card in order to get a vehicle report. The report I received was basically no adverse history. I thought this strange seeing as there were multiple color tones on the car.
Shortly afterwards I discovered that my account was showing multiple charges of $18.95 within 2 1/2 weeks of my inquiry. I contacted the company with a demand for a refund.
After several phone calls and emails I received a reimbursement of $1 and an $18.95 refund and a cancellation of my "subscription".
I did not ask for a subscription and the other two $18.95 charges to my account have, to date, never been refunded.
I have received several email claiming a refund to my credit card that my Bank Account never confirmed.
I found it impossible to locate the firm, the phone calls are always taken by a third party, and the emails I received that had attachments, which were impossible to open, never showed proof of stated refunds.
I am totally convinced this company is a scam based on their responses.

Fraudulent Charges - In Process

This service advertises a $1.00 vehicle-history report. After charging me $1.00 for a vehicle history report, I was charged $18.95 by the same organization with no explanation. A couple weeks later, a similar charge was attempted but failed to clear my financial institution. A week later, another charge was attempted for the same amount from an entity named "CARDATA".

I advised the agent that delivered the report about my situation. The agent advised I would be refunded. I asked for an explanation of why I was charged. The agent never responded.

I was refunded by disputing the charge with my credit card company. My larger disappointment with this service is the lack of communication from the agent.

After conducting an Internet search, I found warnings about scams originating at this website. My experience is poor, but distinct from the scams I found reported.
