I was going to make a used car purchase in the amount of $16, 000.00 plus financing and I was getting ready to sign the paperwork when I asked the dealer for maintenance records or history of the car and he replied that he had none. So I told him that I wanted to check the vin # on the vehicle before I signed. I looked online and Carfax wanted $39.99 for one report, I found Vehicle History Record.com and could not believe they were asking $1 I was skeptical so I went with another site and paid $9.99 they provided very little information so I went back to Vehicle History Record.com paid the $1 plus .19 cents because I opted for a little extra and could not believe the FULL report that I got for $1.19 that showed the car had frame damage. WOW $1.19 saved me thousands. Forget about the overrated high priced Carfax Thank You Vehicle History Record.com for saving me thousands even the dealer wanted to know who I got my report from so he can start using it. PS you can even get live help if you need, absolutely amazing! !!

Yeah right, is right! Sure enough $1 and all the facts I needed to find out a car I was looking at was not a 2001 as advertised but a 2000... and the mileage was off too.

Tops the other reports by leaps and bounds as far as type of info searched and shown. This report is much more in depth than anyother i have found. As well, for the price it is an incredible value. I will certainly be using this service from now on.

Good for the dollar, will use again

I was pleasantly surprised at how comprehensive this report was. It really made me feel more confident in my decision to buy. I wholeheartedly recommend you run this before buying. It even gives you a checklist to go over before you buy.

I appreciated the report, but would have appreciated the price just being $1.95 to begin with, and include what most people would expect to be in a standard report, instead of asking one if they would like that. Duh!! Of course, that's why I'm paying for a REPORT!! Great service otherwise, and provided fairly quickly!! I would recommend it again, but please, less "continue" buttons.

The only reason I did this was to get the name of the registered owner and it did not provide it as I was concerned it would not but for a dollar I had to try

The report was complete and did not take long. The price was very reasonable. I don't know why they do not put the full price on the first check out. There was a second transaction for $ .38. It would have been nice to know the current owner.

VehicleHistoryRecord.com gives quite a bit of information. A bit contradictory, however. On item # 3 "History of The Vehicle" it shows that the vehicle was reported to have been in a collision with another vehicle but does not show this information in any of the other table of contents (1 - 20)..........
It also shows "Reported at Auto Auction" - but does not explain what this means.
Shows the title was repossessed, reported at auto auction - again - what does this mean?
I would think that these questions would have been explained under "Brand Definitions" - it does show "No Collision" and explains that the vehicle has not been reported to have been damaged by a collision." Does this mean the "collision" that was reported in July 2008 caused no damage but did result in an assigned case number?
Like I said, there is quite a bit of information in this report, however, it could be consolidated a bit.

I was looking for an option to a $40 car fax report to see the history on my daughter's car prior to offering for sale. The information contained in the Vehicle History Record was comprehensive and also included some value links to other sources.
