I scheduled for a motorized scooter to be delivered to my apartment in Rome seven days before my arrival communication with the company was nonexistent. the day of the delivery. They told me that they tested the scooter and it did not work and there would not be a delivery.. obviously this really threw a wrench into our plans. They offered no further assistance. in the future I would not be using this company and I advise you to do the same
Excellent service. Great communication throughout with Vemrent and the delivery driver. Chair delivered on time and we were also given a quick demo on how to use it.
We hired the folding electric chair which arrived fully charged and was in 'like new' condition. A great chair for Rome, used it all day every day and it still had an almost full charge at the end of each night. Easy to fold, fits in a taxi if necessary (and the small lift in our building), robust and stable especially on hills and rough pavements. Can't praise it enough, wouldn't have been able to do the holiday without it.
A big thanks to Vemrent for a smooth and easy service and to the wonderful people of Rome for being so courteous and helpful - even the drivers !
Would leave a 0 if possible. They took payment upfront (should have know that was a red glad but they were recommended by my travel agent) & our wheelchair did not show up! We called and left messages but no one called us back. We tried emailing and no response. I don’t even know if they exist. Do not use! They will take your money & not provide the service.
In response to your reply. You could have reached out to myself or my dad if you had issues. If we needed to pay for a certain amount of days, that is fine. We would have rather had a wheelchair for my mother than had nothing at all. You didn’t even give us the opportunity to make that decision. You left my mother with nothing! You basically bait and switched us. Please refund my father & I will remove this review. That is the appropriate, professional & right thing to do in this situation. I have emailed a B Alvino from your company twice about this & have yet to receive a response.

They took a full payment and will not return it or respond to a cancellation. I canceled my order weeks ago and no one will return emails, calls, text messages or respond to chat on their website.
The foldable scooter was a lifesaver!!!
I was able to experience Europe better than I ever could walking!!
Transfer service was also very convenient and professional!!!
I confirmed the scooter I had booked for my 85 year old father a few days in advance and noticed my Hôtel of the scooter delivery. Vemrent emailed to confirm everything was in order. When I landed I received an email from them saying they tried to deliver the scooter but the hotel had no reservation and because the hotel had stairs they couldn’t make the delivery and therefore considered the order cancelled. They offered no alternative and so far have not mentioned a refund. Considering they offer such a critical service that you only book when you really need physical support, their disgusting customer service is shocking. I am not from Rome. I live in London. Considering they are Rome based you think they would ensure they know the hotels and issues with delivery in advance and offer alternatives to a clearly needed support solution. When I asked for a wheelchair, they said they couldn’t provide that either. My Dad will spend his weekend in Rome in the hotel room. Thank you for ruining his first holiday since my mother died.

The wheelchair worked great for a tour of Italy. It was a little tired and used though. It had a broken foot strap and a well used seat pad.
A Shameful company!
I found out about VEMRENT searching for an electric scooter in Rome for my aunt who has reduced mobility.
We wanted to hire the service for three days (tuesday 08/08 to thrusday) that she would be in Rome.
At the time of making the payment, the page froze and did not issue an order confirmation, so I assumed that the reservation had not been made and since the costs are very high, €100 for three days, plus a retaining deposit of €142 we decided not to try again.
To my surprise, on tuesday 08/08 an employee contacted me telling me that they had come to the hotel to deliver the scooter but we were not there so they had to leave. I tell him that there must have been an error because the order had not been confirmed on the website and therefore I was not waiting for the scooter. This person does not reply back nor contact me again.
Three days later I contact these people because I was charged €242 in my bank, and they tell me that they will not refund any money because due to company policies I had to cancel 24 hours in advance... So, I had to cancel in advance an order that I did not know about in first place, plus WITHOUT PROVIDING THE SERVICE they had retained €142 deposit, which I had to request to get back.
it’s a shame these people have a company towards the public with such mafia management. They stole me 102€ and I highly request people not to hire any service with them, they just want your money, either giving you a service or not.

When we arrived at our hotel in Rome, the representative from Vemrent had just delivered our wheelchair. He explained how to use it. We could not have explored Rome without it! We left the chair with the concierge at the hotel and Vemrent came to pick it up after we had left. Very convenient. Prior to our rental, we emailed them with our questions. They responded efficiently. We highly recommend Vemrent.
We have rented a mobility scooter for a week. Communication with the company was great, and we were looking forward to pick up the mobility scooter and use it during our vacation in Italy. We were supposed to use it on our first day of vacation in Rome, and then during the rest of the week outside of Rome. Since our flight was delayed, we arrived to Rome a day late, so besides checking that the scooter was working from the hotel storage room to the car, we didn't use it before leaving Rome. The day after our arrival, we took the scooter with us to the daily trip we have planned, just to find out it wasn't charged.... so we couldn't use it (in the past when we rented a mobility scooter it came fully charged, so we didn't think we needed to check it, but this was our mistake and I'm not blaming them for this). So for the day after, we made sure the scooter will be fully charged, and after turning it on it took like 10-15 minutes till it finally started to move. We used it for around 3 hours while we were traveling, and it was great. Then in the afternoon when we went to our second location of our daily trip, and tried to operate it again, it wouldn't start at all, not even after 10-15 minutes of waiting like we waited in the morning. We called their support, and did everything they told us to do- we made sure if was fully opened and locked, and that the small wheels are in the air and not touching the ground, we made sure the brake handle was released, and still a green light was blinking and the scooter wouldn't move. Eventually their support told us, they couldn't do anything beyond that, since we weren't in Rome (their technical support is limited to Rome), and that once we get back to Rome, they'll be able to help us, which was useless to us since we got back to Rome only on our last day of vacation.
we ended up paying over 200 euros (since we paid also for delivery and insurance of the scooter), for a 3 hours use of the mobility scooter. Our vacation was ruined, since we had to change our plans, because I wasn't mobile as we had planned.
Their answer after they picked up the scooter from the hotel, was that a technician checked it and it was working fine, and that it didn't work for us because we didn't release the brake handle. Of course we did!!! We have tried EVERYTHING!!! Maybe at the end we just left it with the handle not released after we have folded it, since we couldn't use it anyway.
They didn't take any responsibility, they didn't offer to compensate us, NOTHING!
So if you are planning to be just in Rome - you can rent from them, but if you are planning to be outside of the city as well, and use a mobility scooter, please keep in mind, that in case something will not work, your money will be wasted because they don't have any sort of technical support beyond the city of Rome, and they take zero responsibility for technical failures in their equipment
It would have been nice to know that thete were no Saturday deliveries. We were informed on Friday that our scooter would not be delivered and our order was cancelled. We did not have a scooter for Sunday or Monday and most of Tuesday as scooter was delivered after we had left for the day.
Everything went perfectly. Wheelchair was dropped off and picked up from our hotels.

Dropped off on time and collected on time! Every facet was was so easy, from booking to paying and delivery and pick up...all went so smooth without any headaches at all. Super easy and affordable!
