Amazon Vendorcentral - WARNING! Do NOT SIGN UP
Amazon contacted us and invited us to Amazon Vendor Central.
Somehow amazon vendors are now inflicted with a "190715_PROVISION_FOR_RECEIVABLES" with no explanation from amazon. In our case it puts our Vendor Account in DEBT to amazon, even if we have never purchased anything from amazon. We have sold and supplied goods successfully. According to the vendor agreement amazon is supposed to pay the vendors within 60-days from receiving the goods, now amazon is delaying payment by inventing these "190715_PROVISION_FOR_RECEIVABLES" .
We have according to our account £ 3,237.60 GBP in receivable from amazon, however there is an "adjustment" of £ -3,593.94 GBP which leaves our account at - £ 356.34 GBP. After a deduction "holdback of - £ 7685.2 GBP (of which a bit over £ 4000 is claimed to have been paid by amazon).
As Vendors our Vendor Account standing is at 100% so these "provisions for receivables" are not a result of us failing to deliver, failing to deliver on time or any other errors from our side.
We have heard from other vendors with similar problems, one with excess of £ 50.000 GBP held by amazon vendor central for no reason whatsoever. Accoring to some online blogs amazon has the intent to force vendors over to their seller central. Really? Having seen how badly the vendor programme has been managed from amazon's side and reading the endless negative reviews regarding amazon seller central why would we move to seller central. When we haven't been paid on time for goods supplied to amazon . We have not purchased anything from amazon. Amazon is in debt to us not the other way around.
NEXT STOP a complaint to EU, yes UK is still part of EU brexit has not happened yet. I further notice that vendors in France, Italy, Spain an Germany experience the same unjust "provision for receivable" fees. I hope amazon will get the biggest FEE an online company has ever received. Amazon's is acting in a criminal way, they are in breach of our agreements on several points.
If your company is ever approached by amazon to become an amazon vendor - stay away, stay very very far away!
Amazon will promise you heaven and and "own personal vendor manager" (only there to sign you up), two weeks later that person will be gone and not replaced with anybody else!
Now vendors are not getting paid for the goods they have supplied. You have been warned.
