Does't worth the money
Disclaimer: I only tried lessons with one particular teacher, Kamil, and my experience can only be addressed to this specific instructor from this driving school. I agree with the low-rated reviews from the other students. I recently changed driving schools, which made me realise how unprofessional my previous teacher was. To begin with, I didn’t have any proper structure for the lessons. My teacher, for example, didn’t explain how to use the fast-steering method or the proper looking technique during the turns and many more things that I need to know as a new driver. For most of the lessons, we were driving through Delft, Rijswijk, and the Hague areas without a specific goal for practice. I just had to learn by doing, which I suppose could work in certain situations, but NOT in case you didn’t have any driving experience before that at all. So, to be expected, it took me way longer to understand many basic things by myself without the proper instructions and teaching. At some point, I even ended up checking some videos on YouTube and trying to apply some advice during the practice with my instructor. The practical exam was only booked after multiple times asking about it. We agreed on the exam date in June 2024. In May 2024, I asked at some point if we could please start practising special manoeuvres since I saw that this was a part of the exam, and my investor responded that my driving skills were not to the point yet. I tried to take more weekly lessons to get into good shape for the exam, but this didn’t improve the situation. We were still driving most of the time without clear exercise plans and goals for the lesson. Ultimately, I agreed to shift the exam date since it didn’t make sense to go for it unprepared. Right after that, I immediately felt that my instructor again turned his attention from me to other students; it was hard to book lessons; he was saying he was completely booked. In one of my last lessons, I had difficulty changing lanes, and I asked my instructor to help during the driving. I didn’t get much explanation; I only needed to look better, and he said that I was at the point when I needed to make my own decisions. After that, I just realised that I have to change my instuctor. In my new school, I practised 4 out of 8 special manoeuvres within three lessons that I already had. I had more than 35 lessons in Adrian school, and we never discussed any technical questions regarding the car, which were also part of the practical exam. Yet again, in my new school, we have done it within only the first three lessons. In addition, Kamil frequently asked to change the time of the lessons, like 1 hour before the lesson, which is ok if it happens from time to time, but with this instructor, it was way too much. I felt that my instructor frequently abused my flexibility, and I had to put pressure on my teacher from time to time to keep the agreed time of the lesson. He was often on his phone, which made me feel more nervous about driving in the city since I didn’t think he always paid attention to what was happening around me. On a positive note, personality-wise, Kamil was calm and pleasant to talk to during the lessons. With the lessons from Adrian, I still managed to learn something (therefore, I put two stars), but now I have to fill in the knowledge gaps with my new instructor. Ultimately, I managed to get money for my planned exam, but only with a little bit of the story. First, I got a partial refund. I checked the originally paid bill, and I found out that the school didn’t return the money for the use of the car during the mock and practice exams. I wrote an email and got my money back within a few hours. I find it fishy that I didn’t receive any official notification about the refund from the school with the clarification, and in addition, this refund was not complete. Maybe someone was hoping I wouldn't notice that some money was not refunded… So, in a nutshell, I won't recommend anyone to Adrian Driving School based on my experience.
