Veterans Help Group understands the VA process and the requisite procedures to succeed in resolving my medical benefit claims.

Veterans Help Group (VHG) totally exceeded my expectations by representing my case to the VA and quickly succeeding in obtaining 100% permanent and total disability for me in less than a year! I highly recommend VHG to all veterans seeking a great VSO to represent them in their VA disability claims.

I enlisted in June 1962: Basic Training at Fort Jackson, AIT at Fort Sam Houston, then served as both a field medic and as a hospital corpsman until June 1965. I had some medical problems due to a field/training vehicle accident and some other incidents caused by hospital-related duty.

Now, decades later, those almost-forgotten incidents intensified as I aged, so I applied for VA medical disability in March 2024. The VA system responded quickly due to my age my military history. I received a 40% rating within 6 months of intent to file, and 2 months later, I was awarded an additional 50% rating, bringing me to 70% disability. This changed my life! But I still had deferred claims outstanding, and the avalanche of VA paperwork overwhelmed me as the VA was reviewing my claims. That’s when I realized I needed professional help. The deferred and denied claims stalled all progress. I realized I was not handling the claims on time and began the search for an experienced VSO to help me with the VA forms and DBQ’s.

I searched the Internet, spoke with my military friends, and made some calls to the recommended VSOs. After many interviews and numerous submissions for consideration of my claims, I was led to VHG.

It was so comforting to interview with VHG after all my previous frustrating efforts. I was impressed by their professionalism and their rapid review of my previous VA claims submittals and the VA response letters. I was greatly relieved when VHG agreed to help to resolve my claims.

VHG has developed an excellent team concept that analyzes the Veteran's goals and pursues solutions with disciplined, experienced, and effective action. I have appreciated their full service to veterans, as they have demonstrated their care for me and patience when I sent them so much unsolicited information. I’m sure I tested them with my questions, but they were always considerate of my angst with the VA system.

My formidable support team included the owner/Attorney Matt Sauerwald, the business manager/Attorney Donnel Beckles, my personal legal advocate/Attorney Amy McArdle, and my personal Case Manager/Anita Ruff.

This experienced and organized platoon of specialists took a personal interest in managing the mountain of information previously submitted. Their team undertook the response to the multiple inquiries, VA forms, necessary filings, and intense follow-up required to meet the outstanding demands of the VA examiners.

I am so grateful VHG took my case to the VA. They understood the system and were organized to help veterans deal with the ponderous VA system. I am very satisfied with the disability ratings VHG earned for me.

I highly recommend VHG to all veterans. The team assigned to me achieved great results in a very short time. They get to know you and respect your need to be heard by the VA.
