I have been a member since pre Covid. Due to bad health and an upcoming back operation I approached the gym face to face to discuss temporary cancellation in a view of returning. Due to my circumstances it was agreed I could cancel as of immediate effect and cancel my direct debit. I pay £19.99 a month. I am now receiving numerous emails threatening debt collectors for a £15 admin fee and a months notice of £29.99. Yes, they have furnished the place and raised the price by 30% approx so we can pay for it. The email states if unpaid the debt will build up even though my contract is no longer valid. I have explained on numerous occasions it is not my fault the member of staff I spoke to failed to document our conversation. Then they have admitted the error and written off the extra fees as long as I pay the £29.99. Which I have no intention of doing! Stay clear if I was you. It’s not the stress needed during a health condition and I certainly will not be returning. Happy while your money is going in their bank then Customer service is shocking beyond.
