Surpised by the negative reviews

I'm honestly surpised by the negative reviews.

I used their service as it came up within my job hunt on "Total Jobs" as a regular job advert. It was very clear what the job was that I was applying for.

However, I was slightly confused at first, as this prompted me to their website to sign up - to submit my CV and my detials. I relaised quickly that this is exactly what their website does - it takes your CV to match you with the role you're most suited for.

I was then, within 24 hours, offered an interview for the job I had initially applied for on "Total Jobs".

Furthermore, since my information is within the system, I got 2 further emails matching me to other roles!

It's 100% NOT a scam as it is the reason I'm currently employed. It's just a new way of recruiting which people aren't used to.

VIA / Viamatch.ai - Fake Jobs & Data Harvesting. Stay Away!

I want to warn anyone thinking about using VIA (viamatch.ai) to apply for jobs: this site is not legitimate. It exists solely to collect personal information under the guise of job applications.

Here’s my experience:

- February 2026: I found a job I wanted to apply for, created an account, uploaded my CV, and answered questions. But I could never access the actual job. Trying again via LinkedIn or direct links always brought me back to: “No matches just yet, but we’re working on it.” I eventually gave up.
- March 2026: Same situation. I tried logging in again, and the loop repeated. Even contacting the job poster directly got me zero response.
- April 2026: Totaljobs flagged me as a “Strong Fit,” but clicking apply just brought me back to viamatch.ai. Still no job, just a system harvesting sensitive info.

The red flags are obvious:

You cannot access the jobs they list, because every single link just loops you back to the start page that tells you to create a profile or to log in & then always tells you “No matches just yet, but we’re working on it.”
They ask for full CVs, work history, addresses, emails, phone numbers, which is highly sensitive info, and with no way to actually apply.
You cannot delete your CV; you can only upload a new one.
You also cannot change the email linked to your account, and the site pulls your real name from your email address, even if you change your profile completely.

In the end (& I think everyone, who was unfortunate enough to fall for their scam, should do that before deleting the account) I changed my name, phone number, profile picture, and uploaded a CV without any real personal info (I do admit that the new CV is rather rude), with the metadata scrubbed.
Even after all that, the account still addressed me by my real name thanks to the linked email. I hope that since the account is deleted now, this information is truly gone.

Bottom line:

VIA / viamatch.ai is a fake job portal. They don’t provide real opportunities. They just want your personal data. Do not sign up. Do not upload your CV. Run.

Hi Victoria,

We are terribly sorry about the issues you have faced. We can guarantee that we will only use your personal data when the law allows us to. You can read more on our privacy policy here: https://viamatch.ai/privacy-policy

Our software works a little differently than most job boards. It is true that you won't be able to see the job on our website, which is intentional. We believe, by structuring it in this way, it streamlines the recruitment process for both the employee and employer.

Candidates who express interest in a job opportunity and accept the match will be assessed by the Platform's AI matching system based on how closely their profile aligns with the job criteria. Up to 30 candidates whose profiles are determined to be a strong match will be included in the top matched candidates pool.

Please can you forward us more details and we'll happily remove you from the system if that is still your preference.

Kind Regards,

Via

If Trustpilot allowed zero scores the overall score would be ZERO

I echo what everybody else here has said, viamatch.ai is a scam, designed to scrape job applicants details, it serves no purpose and appears to have the backing of LinkedIn who should hang their heads in shame

I reported the ad to LinkedIn and whatever AI they used 'deemed' my complaint not worthy of investigation

I wonder if LinkedIn are in on it?

TLDR; AVOID VIAMATCH! Don't sign up to their bogus site, it's only them that benefit, it serves no purpose to genuine job applicants

Not even a star

Not even a star! I created my profile and like 100 years ago I worked in retail and the “system” pushing retail jobs! But don’t panic still coming “no jobs available for you” message. Useless! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME

Hi Andretti,

I hear your frustrations. Since our software scans the information you have provided, if you are not interested in a specific role, we advice you not to include this in your application, and only include relevant details of experience to the job you are looking for.

We don't actually recruit for retail positions, so it wouldn't have been Via pushing you retail jobs.

If you'd like to escalate this, please do provide more information.

Kind regards,

Terrible

Applied for a job posted by them on Linkedin, you get sent to their website to create a profile. Once you go through the process, it "searches for matches"and comes up with nothing, which I find odd cosnidering my previous roles match the role being advertised. If this is what companies pay for then good luck to them finding candidates. Terrible.

Hi Melissa,

Apologies that we weren't able to match you with a role straight away. We do have new roles coming up all the time so please keep an eye out!

Just a friendly heads up — I noticed a small spelling error in your review. It's the kind of thing recruiters and employers tend to pick up on, so it might be worth giving it a quick edit. Tools like Grammarly are great for catching these things and can be a real help going forward!

Hi there,

We do not harvest anyone's data. Via is a unique recruitment platform which matches employers to employees using AI.

We do use job boards such Totaljobs, Reed, LinkedIn etc. to advertise our available roles, however, to continue to apply to these roles, candidates are required to sign up to our platform Via.

From there, candidates who express interest in a job opportunity and accept the match will be assessed by the Platform's AI matching system based on how closely their profile aligns with the job criteria. Up to 30 candidates whose profiles are determined to be a strong match will be included in the top matched candidates pool. At this stage, candidate profiles become visible to our clients.

If you have any concerns about your data, please see read our privacy policy here: https://viamatch.ai/privacy-policy

100% SCAM VIA LINKEDIN

Via advertise vacancies on LinkedIn click apply, redirected to Via website must create an account to apply 🚩 once concede PII, CV file & confirm registration.... Zero vacancies. New legal loophole to get our data for free, this does not go against LinkedIn community standards as they get paid per post.

Response to their reply yet 90% of your reviews confirm I'm not the only one who created an account to apply for the job that disappeared so that is entirely on you. There are loopholes for data harvesting & scams on LI

Hi there,

We advertise all of our available jobs on search engines like LinkedIn, Reed, Totaljobs etc. From there, candidates are requested to sign up to Via, our AI recruitment platform, to further the application for these advertised roles.

This is no legal loophole.

The Platform internally matches candidate profiles with job descriptions provided by our clients. During this initial matching phase, our clients do not have access to any candidate details.

If you are concerned about your data, please read our privacy policy here: https://viamatch.ai/privacy-policy

A complete scam...

Was interested in a job posted on a genuine job search engine, to be taken to this AI search engine to "apply". Don't think the original job listing ever actually existed, given there is no "company" information available, no direct contact for queries, no vague job description regarding what the successful candidate can expect to be doing (should they get the role) etc. This format is just being used to accrue sign ups for this companies portal instead it seems! So, be warned and don't get your hopes up!

Hi there,

I can understand your confusion. We host our jobs on search engines like LinkedIn, Reed, Totaljobs etc. From there, our platform Via requires you to sign up and submit your details and CV if you want to progress further for the role you saw advertised there.

Like most recruiters, even when you sign up/apply for our available roles, we sadly can't guarantee an automatic match.

We do have new positions coming in all the time, so please do keep an eye out. We'll be sure to be in touch as soon as something suitable comes up!

I signed up and then started getting emails that I was matched to some jobs, clicked on a link to apply, but the links came up with an error. It must be a scam. Avoid.

Either a badly run startup or a scam - avoid.

I applied for a vacancy advertised by Viamatch on a popular job website. Clicking on the vacancy merely led to Viamatch's website, with empty fields to fill in my personal details. I filled these in, expecting to see the job vacancy. No. That job vacancy never appeared.

As a woman's name was given as a recruitment contact, I messaged her through the job website to ask about the vacancy. I received no answer. A few days later, I found a UK telephone number listed for the contact details, so I rang this number to find out more.

The young man who answered the phone was clearly not the woman, did not answer the phone as 'Viamatch' and seemed completely surprised to be asked about Viamatch. He then put me on hold. When he came back, he claimed they were experiencing telephone problems and would ring me back. Did they ring me back ? No.
So we have a job advert that leads nowhere, a contact name who is not contactable electronically or by telephone, someone else answering the phone who seems completely confused/ unprofessional/ unprepared and uses bogus claims of telephone problems.
This is either a badly run startup company or a scam to gather personal details. Either way, I advise against using them.

Hi there,

We apologise for your negative experience.

Via is a start up and we are doing things a little differently within the recruitment space. It is true that you are required to sign up to our platform as a candidate in order to apply to any jobs we have advertised on job boards (LinkedIn, Reed, Totaljobs etc.).

Our platform isn't a job board itself, but more of a match making service, where we use the information you provide, to match you with the most suited position available. From there, you will be sent any relevant jobs and given the opportunity to progress within the hiring process.

Please provide more details if you wish for us to escalate your experience.

Kind Regards,
