5-1 Century Essential was an absolute piece of garbage (and thats being nice about it). Volume knob didn't work, the sound was so horrible it made nails on a chalkboard sound pleasant. Cheap chinese plastic and not worth a penny. Spend your money elsewhere. The company who acquired the Victrola brand-name has COMPLETELY undone and tarnished the brand. It's more important to rake in the profits to fund their rich lifestyles than deliver a quality product, or any quality product. STAY FAR AWAY!!!!!

What a load of crap this was. Purchased as a Christmas gift for my daughter. In all fairness it wasn’t a fortune which brings me back to a saying you buy crap you buy twice, that being said I did expect it to last longer than the once she used it. Yes people just once. After this it wouldn’t do anything despite a number of attempts from various family members. Honestly it should be a criminal offence for company’s to be allowed to bring rubbish like this to the market. It went in the bin as the outlet company I purchased it from wouldn’t accept the return. That for me just says it all. Please people do not waste your money.
