Found a roommate quickly. Everyone I spoke with at viemate was so friendly - all of their emails were responded to by people, actual people! They talked to me like I was an actual client not just some internet personality.

Would use again!

Viemate is a fantastic website to either find a roommate or apartment. Its easy to navigate/search what you are looking for. Most importantly, the individuals posting to the website are serious (not scams, like on some other sites). The messaging system is a great feature to get connected to the others on the site.

The perfect medium for those looking to lease/sublet rooms. Good interface, easy to use, but best of all it is free to use. No membership or other fees, which is common among websites in this category (IE Roomster, which is just fvcking awful). At the time of this posting, Viemate is still relatively new and unused, but hopefully it becomes the norm because facebook room mate search groups are loaded with scammers and spammers. 14/14 would recommend.

I signed up to Viemate recently three weeks ago because I had an apartment I wanted to sublet. At first I listed my apartment on Airbnb but I kept getting all short rental requests. I didn't want to go through Craigslist again because I've had sub par experience there with all the fake, overseas requests and scam emails I was getting. A friend who used viemate referred me to the site and figured i'd try it out and post my apartment on there. I got a few replies and even reached out to a few people that were looking. I was able to get a nice young couple to sublet my place so that I can move to my new home!
So happy with the process! The transactions were smooth and Viemate made payment transfers through their site super easy! They verified the tenant’s ID and phone number. If i ever need to sublease my place out again I'll know where to go : )

Back in 2015, I was in the verge of graduating and leaving Boston. My only obstacle in leaving the city was finding someone to take over my current lease; Viemate proved to be the ideal solution. After reaching out to numerous Facebook groups, Sumu, and other websites to no avail, I came across Viemate through a FB post. I was initially skeptical, since I had never heard of the website before. I couldn't have been more wrong. Viemate helped me reach out to a wide range of potential tenants, and I was soon getting countless emails from people who were interested in taking over my lease. What really differentiated Viemate from the other websites I used was 1. the simplicity in uploading pictures and using its features, 2. excellent customer service (any questions I had were answered immediately), and 3. the security and reliability of the website and those involved. The search for a tenant to take over my lease lasted 3 months (with no success), but with Viemate, I was able to find a trustworthy tenant in 2 days. Best solution for those looking for renting or leasing an apartment in Boston/ NY. Period. Thank you, Viemate.

This site provides people's info with pictures, which gives me confident about roommates.

Viemate helped me find a great roommate and was a much more pleasant experience than other apps and websites such as Craigslist. I would absolutely use it again if I were looking for an apartment or to fill a spare room. The interface has improved greatly since I last used the app and I think more people should utilize its service.

I found many nice places through Viemate. It seems that they really care about the quality of the posted choices. Also the site design is vary sample and modern.

I had a great experience using viemate to find a subletter, great alternative to craigslist.

I loved working with Viemate to find a new roommate to share my apartment. Although my roommate did not use their verify tool, I was much more comfortable on their site knowing they were looking out for fraudulent profiles and scams. I also felt verifying myself really helped me get more legitimate inquiries and matches than any other site.

The team at Viemate is also really helpful, they personally responded to all inquiries I made but also did not inundate my inbox with emails.
