I had my account hacked, but that was my own fault due to a bad password. Once we got to the first weekday the support got back to me, restored my account, refunded the payment withdraw, and gave me a month free service. Thank you Michelle for all your help!

I forgot that I had a viki subscription and I cancelled the subscription a day after my free trial ended and I still won't get a refund. Like screw y'all. This has happen to me in different services (Netflix, Hulu) and they are way more understanding.

Edit: i am going to have to change my review, not that they seem to care anyway. I have been using the app for about one week now. The more i use it the more i hate it and just want to delete it. The series are amazing but this app is so poor. Freezes all the time, only allow to play 1 video then i cant load any others, i have to use another phone and it works for 1-2 videos, then switch back to another device. I am not able to watch it on my phone because it automatically mirrors it to my apple tv and of the tv is off theres the screen but unresponsive. Wetv is much better although not all episode are available until you get a monthly subscription. Viki is not available on Xbox which used to be on xbox 360 but not on xbox one or later. Just bad app.

Amazing app! I am learning Mandarin and this is amazing to get some culture and know whats going on in East Asia. I love that I can cast it to my Apple TV and watch my favourite series! - only thing i dont like or dont understand is why after 1 episode I dont seem to be able to watch another one and have to use a different device.

Also a shame this app is not on Xbox one so i wouldn't have to use my phone/Ipad battery to cast it.

Other than that amazing!

Otherwise saying there are queer TV shows, dont be stuck in 1800 this is 2021. People are so rude and insulting, no manners! A shame they are watching shows from a culture that promote respect.

i got viki cause i thought it would be good but all i’ve been hearing it’s scammers so i deleted the app n i got a month subscription. i just canceled it. i never put my credit card info in the app but would i still be safe from getting money getting taken out? only my phone has my info. hoping to know more about this. i’m worried.

Actually, I really like this app.But recently that means form 2 months maybe it started showing more ads. Before it only shows one ad for episode but now at least 10 ads for episode . I actually request to reduce the ads.

Terrible application in Roku, only allows for one language. Currently showing MR Queen and there is no subtitles. The price is too high for the service.

they give me 3 un-skippable 1 minute ads, all the same ad. not only that, but more ads to go along with it. the ads started at 12:01 and ended at 12:06. terrible. whoever thought of those un-skippable one minute ads need to be fired and sued. hope you run out of business.

Had no problems for years, then my account was hacked. Someone changed my email and locked me out of my own account. I tried to contact customer service, and they said it would be two weeks while they investigated my account! Meanwhile I can't watch the programs I want and my subscription is being used by a criminal! Horrible customer service, no phone number to call, only email. This should be solved within 24-48 hours, but it has been dragging on for days and days

I subscribe to VIKI's standard service. It's been a few years now. I have watched a lot of shows but I think they are getting greedy, wanting to charge more for what they call a 'plus' service in order to watch the more popular shows. Some of the shows that I have watched, the translations have been questionable and sometimes I run across a show where someone didn't even bother to translate a small section. So I ask myself the question why would I subscribe to 'plus' if standard is the way it is. I'm really thinking about canceling and trying a different method.

Viki is fraudulent. I deleted my subscription two years ago but payments were still being taken from my account. I contacted Viki and they said it must be because I still had an active account, and they listed a bunch of possible accounts I could have. I didn't have any of them, but thought that it must just be me being stupid so I left it.

After a while and trying again and again to find an active account to delete, I contacted them again recently saying I don't have an account and I want the payments to stop and I want a refund (I genuinely thought I was the problem which is why I waited so long). I never got any response, but the month after I sent this message, Viki's name suddenly appeared differently on my bank statement. This is a common tactic for companies to take payments from users who have blocked them through their banks. My bank has now blocked both names but I will be keeping an eye out for different names in the future.

Viki will try and take money from your account no matter what, but will not respond to any questions or requests to stop payments, even if you attach proof (I attached the confirmation of cancelling my subscription). Do NOT trust Viki with your bank details.

Just like what everybody here is saying, I've been a standard viki subscriber for 3 yrs, and last 2 days ago ads started appearing while watching The Wolf only to find out they want me to switch to viki plus !!! Viki has been my go to destressors for a long time especially now that Covid19 is here. I am an avid fan chinese wuxia films/tv series, and some korean Historical Movies. It now cost 9.95 per month but hey the enjoyment and excitement I got from watching good shows are priceless !!!This keeps my sanity intact during these trying times...now am waiting for the premiere of Legend Of Fei with Wang Yibo !

I have enjoyed Viki for quite a while. I used the free version with ads and I finally upgraded to a standard subscription a few months ago. I logged in today and found that most of the shows now require a plus pass to watch! No warning that this would happen, a HUGE change and we had no way of knowing. I'm so sad because now I can't watch some of my favorite shows and I'm not paying them more when they take care of their customers like this.

I am now very disappointed with your service. I have been a paying customer for sometime now and shows I have watch before, I wanted to watch again i can't. I am being told to pay more if I want to watch these shows which I could watch before with the service I was paying. Why are you taking it away now. Are you not already getting my money, you want more. Wow.

I really do love Viki!

There are some amazing dramas both Korean, Japanese and Chinese all with Subtitles. If you are a paid member (very cheap price) you get to watch in great quality and with no ads at all.

I have only once ever had a server issue but this happens with all companies.

I really do recommend and the small investment is well worth it.

The services offered are great, however, the irregularity of the ads is a big problem especially when they are never-ending.

Also it says free when you watch the ads but after watching 2-3 episodes advert will not go off screen trying to force sign up for advert free version. Then ales really hard to remove that.

Forcing subscription. My one-year subscription ended and it automatically made me re-subscribe ( I didn't know due to not using this platform due to not letting me watch half of the content because of REGION LOCK ) so I went on the website right after I got the notification and asked for the refund but no answers. Absolutely disgusting customer service, more like no customer service. Just money-draining sewers

Viki offers a great/convenient service, but the quality of their drama is not perfect. Perhaps it’s the way some series were aired? I find playback quality does not even reach HD(or is stretched), let alone 4K.
As far as non paying customers go, Viki is a premium app/service and not favourable for free users. Please, invest the 5$ a month, your time is worth more than a subscription fee. No free websites are worth the quality and your time.

I am giving them a one star for lack of customer support. Not responding to any of my request for refund after I accidentally subscribe twice when upgrading my membership. MUST BE VERY CAREFUL WHEN YOU SUBSCRIBE!!!

I like the movies, but as an English speaker I am very sad that I purchased Rakuten Viki. Frequently I will start watching a series only to find that they stop translating it into English midway through the series. Also, some of the translations are only partial. It’s obvious that the characters say way more than it’s translated. This would probably be a great movie option for someone who speaks Japanese, Korean, and Mandarin. As an English speaker it left me wishing I had the opportunity to watch the movies. I found that Netflix does a significantly better job with translation.
