From Knowing Nothing About Instructional Design to Getting My First Opportunity

As a recent graduate, I was looking for a career that would allow me to work from home and build a professional career without being limited by location. I came across Instructional Design while exploring different career options and eventually searched ChatGPT for information about how to get started.

That's how I came across Vineet.

I had absolutely no professional experience in Instructional Design when I started. I didn't know the terminology, tools, learning theories, or even what an Instructional Designer actually did on a day-to-day basis.

I explained my situation to Vineet, and he suggested a focused crash-course approach covering the fundamentals I needed to understand the field and prepare myself for an entry-level opportunity.

The training started from the basics and covered Instructional Design concepts, learning theories, adult learning, learning objectives, instructional strategies, storyboarding, assessments, eLearning, and the overall Instructional Design workflow.

What made the experience different was the support outside the actual explanations. Whenever I was confused about something, I could ask Vineet and get practical guidance instead of having to search through dozens of different tutorials.

With his guidance and support, I was able to prepare myself for interviews and eventually secure a work-from-home opportunity with a salary of ₹45,000 per month.

As someone who was completely new to the field, this was a huge achievement for me.

I'm genuinely thankful to Vineet for not just teaching me the basics but also helping me understand how to approach the career, prepare for opportunities, and build confidence along the way. I would highly recommend his training to anyone starting Instructional Design from zero.

Storyline 360 & Camtasia 1-on-1 Training

I took 1-on-1 training with Vineet for both Articulate Storyline 360 and Camtasia, and it was a great learning experience. I had already tried learning through YouTube tutorials and online documentation, but there is a big difference between watching someone demonstrate a tool and actually having an experienced professional guide you through it.

Vineet walked me through both tools step by step, explained not only how different features work but also how and when to use them in real e-learning projects. I could ask questions at any point, get my doubts clarified immediately, and spend more time on the areas where I needed additional help.

For Storyline 360, we worked through interactions, triggers, variables, states and other practical features, while the Camtasia sessions covered recording, editing, annotations, audio, captions and creating professional training videos.

What I appreciated most about the 1-on-1 format was the personalized guidance. Instead of simply following a predefined self-paced course, I could learn at my own pace and ask questions based on my specific requirements. That level of interaction and practical guidance would have been very difficult to get from YouTube videos or written instructions alone.

I learned a lot from the sessions and now feel much more confident using both Storyline 360 and Camtasia in my e-learning projects. I would definitely recommend Vineet's 1-on-1 training to anyone who wants hands-on guidance rather than just another self-paced tutorial.
