The valuer is only looking and offering scrap value for items despite his advertisements. Admitted he didn't look at the markings, age or possible retail pricing, made me 3 low offers when I asked for his one best price. The gold shown to him was retailing at £1500, happy to accept £1000, offered £375 for 15g 9 carat gold.
Alec and his team were in Newark today. They created really friendly environment to sell your unwanted gold jewellery. Alec was very polite, articulate and a pleasure to deal with. He and his partner made the experience very easy. They were knowledgeable and offered very acceptable prices straight off the bat, which really took the hassle out of selling our unwanted gold. I would definitely recommend visiting them if they're in your area. There are no pressure tactics, no nonsense, just a very simple offer, that we accepted gladly. Well done Vintage Quest!
