1 star — Complete failure of Buyer Protection

I was scammed with a classic "empty box" fraud on Vinted (paid €84.70 for an iPhone 11 Pro, received only the sealed empty retail box). I reported it immediately with clear photos. Vinted support (agent Hiba) initially suspended the return and acknowledged the issue, but their system later auto-completed the order and released my money to the known scammer (who has multiple 1-star reviews for the same scam).

Their "Buyer Protection" is useless in real fraud cases. Extremely disappointed and will be pursuing a chargeback through my bank. Do not trust Vinted with expensive electronics.

Clear misdelivery case ignored since 19/05 — no real support from Vinted

My order has been suspended since 08/05 after a clear misdelivery. The buyer received an item that isn’t mine, and both of us contacted Vinted several times. We haven’t received any real update since 19/05 — only generic automated replies that don’t address the actual issue.

The investigation should be simple: the InPost locker cameras clearly show that I shipped a boxed item, while the buyer received a thin plastic bag with an old music CD. This proves the parcels were mixed or mislabeled by the courier. It’s an easy case to verify, yet the ticket remains inactive with no agent assigned and my funds held for weeks.

We just need a proper manual review from a real support specialist so this can finally be resolved. At this point, neither I nor the buyer can move forward without Vinted’s intervention.

Horrible customer service - DONT WASTE YOUR TIME

This is a pretty difficult company to work with. While it's easy to upload an item to sell, thats about it. The customer service is by far the worst customer service you can imagine. Nobody helps you and they only send you copy/pasted responses. Avoid this company at all cost!

I had a very disappointing experience…

I had a very disappointing experience using Vinted. My item was marked as delivered, but it was actually delivered to the wrong address and I never received it.
I reported the issue, but there was no support or investigation. The case was closed due to a strict 48-hour reporting window, even though the delivery error was not reasonably discoverable within that time.
The platform’s dispute process feels very limited when courier mistakes happen, and there is no assistance once the internal deadline has passed.

I’m am incredibly frustrated with their…

I’m am incredibly frustrated with their customer support which is practically not existing.
I have been locked out of my account for two days despite the fact that I have money in the account. The design of the customer login process is so bad that it actually has locked me despite the fact that the number I use it is mine and says it is connected to other account. There needs to be other way of verification if you handle peoples money and this is simply a very bad app design and even worst customer service!

Sold a padel racket

Sold a padel racket. With 6 pictures and description of scratches. The buyer used the item and said it wasn't as described. Vinted have done nothing to help and now asking i ask a returned item thats been abused at my cost.

A horrible app

A horrible app, full of automated systems, with account blocks for “alleged” counterfeits even when the items are original. Even after providing proof of purchase invoices, you receive no real response beyond automated replies. To get actual human customer support, you need to send emails outside the platform and insist repeatedly, even threatening to file complaints through the online consumer complaints system and European consumer authorities.

I strongly advise AGAINST signing up for this platform, because if you face any difficulties, you will receive no proper support and may even lose money.

Fire whoever designed the website login verification process

Customer service is terrible. They are unable to perform something as simple as a phone number change without Locking you out of an account. In my case over a year.
The technical design is dumb… unwittingly making you verify by phone number when you don’t have that phone number and not giving an email verification option.
Then after a year you might get a human who verifies you through email… but you are still locked out because you want to revert to using your old number and it won’t let you verify using that same number as it’s already in the system. To avoid being stuck in a hamster wheel never change anything.
Vinted should put some of their resources into efficient customer service flow.

Vinted has the worst customer support

Vinted has the worst and slowest support imaginable. From all the apps and websites I have used in my life, Vinted has the worst one. Takes a lot of time to text back and when they do, they say to wait more, or their decision is just dumb and not thoughtful. I have a situation now and support said they will contact within 48 hours it’s been a whole week and they still haven’t texted back anything.

I have enjoyed buying & selling bits…

I have enjoyed buying & selling bits and bobs on Vinted for quite some time over which period I've paid a good amount in buyer protection fees. I purchased some Titleist golf balls recently which I later realised were counterfeit (a day or so after accepting them), but because I clicked to accept the delivery upon picking the order up from the inpost locker, no follow up is possible. Completely unable to contact a real person at Vinted. Speaking to the manufacturer, they confirmed the balls were fakes, and recommended going via my credit card to reclaim the money and they wrote me a letter to pass to my card company. They also wanted all of the seller details for their own follow up. Credit card company have refunded me whilst investigations are carried out, and sure enough, the following day I receive a threatening message from vinted telling me that my account will be closed if I do not withdraw the credit card chargeback with my bank. Again no way to reply to a real person. I'm not stupid enough to think that fake goods are never sold on vinted, I've purchased replica football shirts on the platform (and other items) which are clearly fake - the price gives it away. I have received other items that I thought were genuine, but were not, but for the price I had paid, I was happy enough. I just hadn't realised that fake golf balls were a thing, and they were not particularly cheap either. I now expect that my Vinted account will be closed which is a shame. If one of the chatbot agents had given me any suggestion that the seller may be looked at, it may have helped me accept the loss, but the seller is still trading happily on the platform. It is a shame. I learned a lesson not to accept goods on receipt any more, even if I have inspected them (on first inspection it was not obvious these were fake). I put some of this down to experience, but knowing there is no follow up from Vinted with the seller is absolutely infuriating. I have raised with the seller but they are not offering to even partially compensate for the fake goods that they sold me. Reading other reviews it is clear that most Vinted support is chatbot based so for people buying and selling on the platform, you need to be aware (and most probably are) that if you do have issues, you are not going to get anything other than chatbot responses (albeit relatively detailed ones).

Customer service is shocking

Customer service is shocking. One of my packages got lost. I reported it to Vinted and they were absolutely useless. Said it was past the deadline to complain, even though I contacted them immediately. Took ages to reply too.
They take a compulsory fee for every transaction I'm case of issues, but if any issues arise they don't care.

Only gave Vinted one star because zero…

Only gave Vinted one star because zero is not available as an option. Ok for small inexpensive items however more expensive tech products always seem to mysteriously vanish with little or no explanation. It's happened on three separate occasions consequently I no longer trust this organisation.

I am very disappointed with my experience using Vinted.

I have a Vinted account, and my son wanted to create his own account. According to Vinted’s rules, children are allowed to have their own account with parental supervision, which is exactly our situation.

However, when setting up his account, Vinted required a phone number for verification. My son does not have a phone number, which made it impossible to create the account as described in their own policy. In the end, I had to get my son his own phone number just to complete the registration.

I contacted technical support for assistance, but the help I received was extremely poor. The support team seemed unable to understand the issue or provide a practical solution.

It is very frustrating that Vinted’s stated rules allow supervised child accounts, but their registration process creates unnecessary barriers and their customer service was unhelpful.

I hope Vinted reviews both their account setup process and the quality of their technical support.

An issue with a garment listing as XL…

An issue with a garment listing as XL size 16-18 which turns out the garment brand, us polo assn, sizes their XL as 14-16.
The seller would not accept a return, and vinted sided with buyer. I'm disappointed because vinted assistance is slow, tedious, and often robot responses, so the site is a big disappointment.

Very disappointed with Vinted

Very disappointed with Vinted. My Vinted Pro account was permanently blocked for allegedly selling prohibited cosmetic items, despite the fact that I only sell books. I was given no clear explanation of which listings breached policy, and communication has been extremely frustrating. Genuine sellers deserve fair review processes and clearer support.

Vinted tembeldab süütud inimesed…

Innocent users get banned.
Zero customer support.
Vinted banned my account based on false accusations of selling a replica. I tried to provide all required proof of authenticity, but they simply do not care. You cannot reach a human, only getting spammed with useless automated bot replies. Honest sellers are treated like scammers with no way to appeal. Total waste of time! Disgraceful service.😡

Sellers beware of ZERO protection

Truly shocking customer service from a sellers perspective. No support unless you're a buyer.

Sold an item worth £140. Was damaged during delivery. To the point where the box looked like it had been played football with. But, apparently this was my fault. Even though it was in a sturdy cardboard box and the item was wrapped in protective packaging. Customer services just send generic responses. Buyer apparently has no obligation to return the item. So they get to keep the item (it had a 5p size tear in the outer seal) and keep their money. Tried to dispute it but got told I could only do so via their legal team, but my email would have to come from a governing body. Truly appalling
