Vinted facilitates unjust enrichment – no payment and no items returned

I sold a bundle of multiple items. One item was damaged during shipping, but the buyer explicitly admitted in writing that the other items arrived in perfect condition. Despite this, Vinted refunded the total amount to the buyer, who kept my undamaged items for free. I have neither my money nor my goods. This is a clear case of unjust enrichment and financial loss. Vinted’s internal policies cannot override civil law! I demand payment for the undamaged items that the buyer kept.

No customer support and bc of a dishonest seller and I have to pay for shipping back

Do not use this platform ever! You have to pay for shipping and buyer's protection, but there is literally no customer support. The seller was dishonest, and the item arrived damaged and altered. Yes, I did ask questions before purchasing. Then I had to beg the seller to accept my return while she was the dishonest one. I literally had to explain to her why I do not want a damaged item for 200 euros. And now I have to pay for return shipping while it is totally unfair. WHAT??

The system incentivizes users to commit fraud

Vinted's core function is broken: The platform lacks human support, relying on automated bots that ignore evidence of fraud and major T&C violations (e.g., selling used items as new), effectively incentivizing dishonest sellers by offering no real Buyer Protection and refusing to intervene in cases of financial damage.

Glad it exists, but.....

As an environmentalist, I love the fact that there is a second-hand market place like Vinted, where you can find literally anything second hand, but they promote overconsumtion by constantly showing you recomended listings with their fancy algorithm. Thier costumer support is the worst. Many users use AI generated images of clothing items (which is not allowed on the platform) and Vinted doesn't do anything about it, even after I reported them. Everybody is looking for the lowest prices, so selling something for what it's worth is not possible. Many people say untrue things in their product descriptions, but Vinted does not care. Counterfeit items are also very common.

Flooded with counterfeit items

Absolutely flooded with counterfeit items, unbranded products listed under popular brands and they really don't care at all. If you report them, they come back with automated messages that "after careful consideration" they have decided that counterfeit items are real and Sinsay bags are really Zara.
Absolutely disgusting, they obviously couldn't care less about users, they only care about their fees which - unlike the name suggests - provide users with no protection.
The greediest kind of business you could ever imagine,

Still no payout after more than 3 weeks!

Up: The problem has been solved. I got my money on my bankaccount just today.

I am extremely disappointed with Vinted. On August 1st I requested a payout to my bank account, and today it has been more than 3 weeks — yet the money has still not arrived.

I reported the issue to customer support long ago, but I have received no real help or explanation. This is completely unacceptable — it is my money, and Vinted has failed to transfer it in a reasonable time.

Buyer Protection That Doesn’t Protect – A Warning for Vinted Users

I had a very disappointing experience with Vinted. I received a clearly counterfeit item and provided extensive photo evidence, including comparisons with an authentic product I personally own. The seller failed to prove the authenticity — in fact, she lied repeatedly, sent a receipt dated after my order, and provided inconsistent and irrelevant documents. Still, Vinted refused to take responsibility. They told me to cover the return costs myself — despite paying their so-called “Buyer Protection” fee. Customer service sent copy-paste responses, ignored key facts, and eventually closed the conversation without resolving the issue. I will be reporting this to consumer protection authorities. Buyers, be cautious — their protection policy doesn’t protect you when it truly matters.

Dont try to sell anything valuable on…

Dont try to sell anything valuable on Vinted. I sold a jacket, but the lost the parcel. When I reached out to Customer service, they asked me to wait for 25 days. After the 25 days passed, they simply closed my ticket saying as they couldnt find the parcel, the case is solved from their side. I told them, this is unacceptable, but they try to ignore me. They paid back the buyer, but dont even try to compensate me or to find my parcel. Very unfriendly and useluess customer service.

Customer service is a joke

Most of the people I cam across on Vinted are lovely. "Customer service" as they call it is however is a joke. The took down my listing which had a paid bump on it, because they believed the photos in the listing were screenshots of websites. The were not, they were just good pictures. I reached out to this customer sevice detailing my problem asking to put my listing back and refund my bump, because as a customer myself, I have the right to use the site as it's allowed, as I did. The violated my rights by taking down the post, therefore taking my money as well, providing no good or even acceptable answer. They took 5 days to send me a message detailing how they care about the authenticity of sellers own pictures, which they think I violated, and there is no option for further appeal. Absolutely ridiculous.

Useless service run by aggressive, ignorant people

They remove your listing without reason or giving information about their imagined reasons. If you let them know that the listing is perfectly in line with their regulations (with detailed reasoning and references to their so called "catalogue rules"), they just ignore everything and simply lie again that it isn't, but they refuse to tell you why. Useless service run by aggressive, ignorant people.
