This is a very bad review

This is a very bad review. I was traveling thru Pueblo Co. and stopped at a local location. I went in to have the fuel filter serviced on my truck. They didn't have one in stock. Their customer care said they would give me credit for the new filter since I had to purchase it. I Paid full price for the service and filter they didn't have. Now the manager and customer care are refusing to pay anything towards the cost of the filter they didn't provide. I will never go to any other Valvoline business again. Doesn't matter an independent or corporate. I can't trust their customer service. I didn't ask for much just to at least honor the cost of their filter for over the counter pricing. They don't want talk to any one, You can't even speak to a person at the location you shopped at.

Amazing service

Amazing service!

I had been to this Valvoline once before several years ago in a different car. I came in because my van had a light saying "Service engine soon" and I thought it may be the transmission fluid. They explained the service engine soon light was set by the previous garage that changed my oil. They did check my oil as well as my transmission fluid which was low. They refilled the transmission fluid and checked all the other levels. They offered an oil change which I refused as I felt I didn't need it yet. For all of this they charged me exactly nothing! They called it in a courtesy check and I call it amazing service in this day and age, especially in San Francisco!

BEWARE!!

BEWARE!!
If I could give zero stars I would but it won't allow me too. My 18 year old son had he's oil changed and Valvoline failed to put the cap back on the reservoir for the coolant. My son's car over heated not to long after leaving Valvoline. I contacted them to notify them of the situation. Since then we were having trouble car always needing coolant and what not. Finally took car into shop to find out the head gasket is blown. Now waiting for a call from management. Will keep you all posted on how they are going to handle this situation.

We go to a one stop shop that is convenient and we don't even have to step out of our car. We shouldn't have to double check the work. We are not mechanics and are trusting places as big as Valvoline for our cars maintenance. Yes human error no one is perfect. But now to see f they will take responsibility for this.

Update: So today the Manager Cody at Valvoline called advising he will go to the repair shop to investigate and reach back out. He calls this afternoon stating repair shop isn't saying it's a blown head gasket which it indeed is per the manger of repair shop along with the paperwork for the failed block test. They are playing this back and forth game. My son saved for a whole year at 17 years old and bought this car with his own money down to his insurance. Valvoline stated they watched the video of the oil change but won't give me the video stating I have to get a court to request the video. They stated they doubled checked their work and was so sure of it but won't let us watch the video for ourselves. The sad part is we trust these people with our vehicle maintenance and they took full advantage. Valvoline is stating they won't repair my son's car after they failed to replace the cap properly after topping off fluids. My son's car over heated after his oil change and Valvoline won't take responsibility for it. It's one thing to admit to the human error but to act cowardly and dishonest proves why no one should take their cars to these phony shops. I gave them the benefit of the doubt to do what is right.

THANKS, Colin at the Halls Center

Colin at the Halls Center. Maynardville Pk, Knoxville. TN. was very helpful. He checked all my fluids because I thought I had a leak. Everything was clear! He topped off my coolant and wished me a Merry Christmas! Except for the wait time on a Saturday, I was very pleased. They were very busy today, but kept the 3 bays moving asap. Thanks. Colin.

Zanesville ohio needs to train their people how to do an oil change

Took my 2022 Honda for an oil change. Bad mistake! I had them rotate my tires, Bad mistake! I had to tell them the tires only had 29 pressure, when I brought it in they had 32 pounds of pressure. The tires are supposed to have 35. When I got home, I looked at the tires and the caps weren’t even screwed on tight. Had to tighten all for tires.. I pulled the vehicle in the garage and there was a puddle of oil on our new concrete.. I checked the oil and it was overfilled.. Called them and someone was supposed to call me back in 24 to 48 hours.. Never got a call, the next day I took it to my dealer and they had to redo everything..Dealer said they didn’t even put the filter on right, and it was overfilled and oil all over the motor cover and everywhere else under the hood.. Dealer said I was lucky that the motor didn’t blow..I would NEVER go to another Valvoline oil change place even if it was free..

Don't go to any instant oil change…

Don't go to any instant oil change locations. The risk does not outweigh the ease of service. The prices are hiked and you're far more likely to get better service and diagnostics from full repair shops. It may be more time consuming - but speed isn't the best consideration when dealing with your vehicle.

I didn't listen to that, my knowledge on cars wasn't the best. I went to Valvoline to get my oil changed back in April in hopes of getting my vehicle's oil changed driving by a few times. Had an amazing visit, met several people and left with a hug smile. From then on my vehicle was experiencing several issues and I didn't really know why, so I decided to visit them again as they instructed for some additional work on the car. Things were smooth enough, my issues still persisted but I just figured it might have been due to the colder months and left it at that. Little did I know that during one of my visits, they had accidentally lossened the transmission plug and resumed services without notifying me at all. When my car began shaking as if it was going to stall, I returned to the locations to have them look at it. They did their typical speed check and oil change... but when I prompted them about the sounds and damage I'd been hearing, they said the computer said the vehicle is in great condition so they didn't investigate further. Regardless of my car's noisy entrance and exit, nothing was done. I decided I'd get a second opinion at a nearby repair shop, but my car broke down halfway to the location. After having it towed and going back and forth, it was stated by the owner of the establishment as well as multiple mechanics that worked on this (with a signed document mind you.) That valvoline is responsible for the damages. The only piece missing was a picture of the loose drain plug, that the mechanic was negligent to provide. Valvoline throughout the entire process only directed me to the store manager and refused my case, going as far as to deny any further evidence I gave them since the case had been closed by the store manager. I went to the store directly to reach out to them and spoke to the employee that was managing my service, and he admitted to disregarding my question on my vehicle's status saying "he's not trained for that kind of situation." The store manager however was on vacation with no supervision left in his sted so there was no one for me to talk to in person about the situation either. I was stuck with a bill for buying a new transmission and after ANOTHER opinion they also stated the same information. "Happens all the time with instant oil change places, they mess something up moving too fast." Is what I was told by them. This time I had pictures and clear leakage from where the transmission plug was. I provided them pictures, tried to be easy to work with, was giving every bit of information I had but they refused to make up for their mistake. I had to threaten to involve the attorney general to even get a response from them, making a document describing the situation myself. Even after getting them involved they still denied the Attorney General, and have yet to reach out to me even after getting them involved.

This place caused me a new transmission and extremely heartless when it comes to expressing any emotions towards the mistake they made, even refusing to provide me any evidence support how they did not do such damage, after bringing up there being videos of each time they worked on my vehicle. Not once did they say that footage supported their claim, nor did they give that footage to said attorneys general. So no, do not go to instant oil change places, and if they respond to this with a typical PR message, just know that - no they are not going to reach out to me at all about this experience. Thanks for reading.

Valvoline on Sunset Avenue in St

Valvoline on Sunset Avenue in St. George Utah: great service!. It’s a drive-through service so you stay in your car and they show you everything they do and tell you everything they do. They showed me the filter for the engine air and said it had life for another oil change, so it didn’t need replacing. They gave me a manager discount because I had brought the wrong coupon. they put my tire pressure at the right level and filled my wiper fluid that I had brought myself. They call out a double-check on everything they do. Including lid and cap tightening. —Which…I’ve lost caps before at other places because they forgot to put the lids back on. I was running out of wiper fluid in NO TIME! — and a one dollar piece-of-plastic lid nowadays costs $13 at an auto parts shop. Crazy inflation!

If I could give you zero stars I would

If I could give you zero stars I would. On Monday, December 2, 2024 I went to Valvoline instant oil change in Saint Peter’s triad center. They were scheduled to open at 8 AM. They did not open at that time. All three employees were parked on the side of the building, but we’re not getting out of their Vehicles. I had arrived at 7:45 AM to be one of the first people in line to get my oil changed. At 8:15 AM when they were still not open, I called customer service to find out what the problem was and to inform customer service that they were not open, but that the employees were present on the lot. The lady that I spoke to, didn’t know why they were not open. She said that she was going to take it to management and find out and that she was going to call me back. She never did at approximately 8:25 AM. The employees got out of their cars and was going around to customer cars telling them that“there was a problem and that they would probably be opening in the next half an hour to 45 minutes“ I cannot wait that period of time and chose to leave. I never got a call back from customer service explaining what the problem was and why they were late opening. I took my car to Dobbs auto tire center where not only did they change my oil, but they got me out and on my way within half an hour as of this writing, I will never go back to Valvoline

The Service wasn’t what I expected

The service wasn’t what I expected . I set in the third bay like I was not even there. There was someone being trained to work there in the second bay. Someone was under my car pulling a tooth That’s what it felt like.I paid with a large bill ( THEY HAD NO CHANGE ) I had to ask could someone check the air pressure. There was no reason to ask to get my window cleaned because I had been there long enough I finally got my change a couldn’t wait to leave.

Oil changed 11/25, broke down next morning at 7 am due to oil being over filled!!

Yep got my oil changed on Monday 11/25 Today is 11/27 and car is broke down!!!! It broke down not even 24 hours later after allowing them to change my oil! Wanted to have oil done before holidays. Changed on Monday and then on Tuesday on the way to take my 6 year old to school at 7 am, it breaks down. My husband had to remove oil cap when he did oil exploded everywhere!!! It was filled way to high not to mention for it be changed the oil was extremely black!!! Oil literally all over my hood, windshield , etc. I have 2020 ford explorer, I bought it with only 6 miles, I am the only owner and have NEVER had issues, ever! Still low miles after 4 years So the day before thanksgiving and needing to transport 5 kids for the holidays, they come out to my house only to be told they won’t be responsible for it since we moved it and brought it home. Not even ten mins from our house. Guy made a comment that his “supervisor” claims there was a check I’m engine light on and in the same breath says but odd he didn’t look at that. (There has NEVER been a check engine light on until the day after oil change!!) Literally won’t start without the oil cap removed. That’s fine, taking it ford and lawsuit will be filled. Have the guy recorded that came to my house and admitted this has happened before and they have had to reimburse people before for rentals and Ubers. Never take your car here!! This is in Louisville, ky by the way off taylorsville & Hurstbourne behind target!!

I would give 0 stars if it was an option. Had my oil changed and later that day was driving down the highway and the skid plate was dragging. Went back and was told they didn't have my bolts. Skid plate is damaged and Valvoline takes no responsibility for it. Will never go there again!

La Porte Tx location has dishonest and lazy workers…

Third time at this location on Spencer Hwy in LaPorte Tx. First two times great service but this time the worse service. Went in for oil change on my GMC 2500 Denali HD Diesel and was informed I needed front and rear diff fluid replacement for $99.99 each along with oil change and I asked how long to do the job and was told it could be done at the same time as the oil change so I said go ahead and do the job. Well I was the only car in the shop and then another pulled in at the stall next to me and he was gone before long and then anohter came in right after that one and he was gone. No one was talking to me as I waited until I got out of my car and hollered for someone to come explain to me why the manager lied to be about the time. He gave me some bs answer and then I paid and was ready to go. I left and realized they never aired up my tires while I was there all that time so I returned later that day and was told he thought he had done that but he hadnt and I left after he aired up tires. After leaving I checked my tire guages on dash and guess what he hadnt accurately aired up tires. $428.21 for shoddy and dishonest employees. Rest assured I will not be returning to this place as I wondered what happened to the great service I received the first two times there. I will find and honest and thorough place to do take care of my GMC.

I would give 0 stars if it was an option. After an oil change the skid plate was broken. Store manager told my daughter they would order a new part then when she went to have part put on was told that they were denying to do it. Location manager, area supervisor and corporate customer care and customer care staff have given nothing but misinformation, lies, refusal to call my daughter back and now corporate is stating the locations decision is final - they will do nothing. I would not use Valvoline again !!!

Giving me Problems

Went in for a standard oil change, no issues with my car before. After I left, a couple hours later my low tire pressure light came on. I go there to prevent problems, not get them. My question is what else did they f#ck up on.

VIOC

Worse experience after taking multiple cars. Arrived 10/2 at 6:05 for an oil change. In recent past had a battery installed prior (had to return battery died after 3 months then after 5 months) and oil changes were always good. 10/2 after sitting and sitting with the manager and tech under my car believing I was done after 25 minutes only to be told. We cannot complete your oil change. Manager and tech asked who changed your oil last. I said you all another tech said he looked said that's not in the system. I was taken aback but thought well I had brakes done but no oil. Had me 2nd myself. They stated you have a leak. I stated I had not had a leak prior to today I only came for my regular oil change. The manager walked up with pictures in his cell phone. I said wait I find that hard to believe plus you all were doing something because I heard the noise like you were changing my filter. He stated we can't do your oil change. I asked what took so long to inform me. Crickets. No answer. I request please check my oil level and I was almost a quart low and paid $11 to be topped off. Once I arrived home and parked. I had a stain of drips in one spot. I walked out driveway and this drip was the first indication. I went back and looked at my email and Valoline indeed has completed an oil change for us before this.
The manager stated I'll text you the pictures if you need some to talk to the last shop responsible I'll do it - here's my card.
I texted the manger the pictures of the spot .. crickets again.
I called VOIC corporate here in Charlotte line left a message (never a return call) and next I called customer service ... filed a claim because something was adjusted or done improperly and they realized it and tried to recover by indicating we won't be able to complete your oil change. I should have known when the manager kept stating "we didn't touch anything". We may not have ...
However you did ... Mr Manager!
Shame on You!
Why did you start it and what took so long to inform me if indeed there was already an issue. I sat so long I watched others be serviced and leave.

--- Deceptive Practices- Dishonest ---

They denied the claim immediately - stating the manager said I had my oil changed elsewhere...I explained - . I have receipts for brakes no oil changes elsewhere.
I have my email receipt from my oil changed prior to this oil change.

My receipt shows I used this very Valoline before for my oil change.
I live in the area - Never again!
I will warn my neighbors every opportunity on every platform on Nextdoor, FB, Insta, X, at the gym, work and church !
It's a huge risk to use such a business that won't accept responsibility!!
Please go else where I get. ----
Go to the a reputable establishment that stands behind their work.
