Modern fast self-hosted messenger

A relatively young and actively developing modern messenger. Yes, in our age of constant leaks of personal data, this is a real breath of fresh air. Because one of the main features is the ability to self-host the server. Which, however, does not exclude the possibility of using third-party hosting. Yes, on your own server you deploy something similar to IT giants - Teams, WhatsApp or Telegram. With convenient private and public chats, with support for reactions. With video calls. With Meetings. With a task board (a type of Kanban). With multilingual support. With clients and servers for the main modern platforms, including mobile. With convenient administration. And much more. At the same time, the client part can take up only about 50-60 megabytes in memory, this is in our age! And yes, the support team is a separate delight, the messenger is really actively developing! Over the 8 months that have passed since the installation, the initial positive impression has strengthened even more. I have tried at least several similar solutions, paid and free. I have not found a better combination of modernity, convenience and low resource intensity than Virola. For those who doubt, there is a free version, unlimited in functions, but designed for a small team of users. Ha! How many startups start with <10 employees? Perhaps the review will seem too enthusiastic, but it is not advertising, it reflects my opinion as a real Virola user.
