I was pointed to the VisibleDust website by a fellow photographer after mentioning my camera sensor needed cleaning, I had always kept away from doing this myself as I didn't want to do any damage to my camera's expensive sensor, however after contacting VisibleDust I was convinced that any risk was low as this system is what's used by several camera companies that offer sensor cleaning, I purchased what was needed for the job and had a go taking my time.
As my sensor was very dirty I was informed it may take more than one pass to clean, I would say I got 90% of the dirt/dust off with my first attempt, I was very impressed with results so decided to have a second go to see if I could get it like new, I now have just one speck of dirt left and have ordered a different cleaning fluid to try as it may be an oily residue rather than dust.
The equipment cost me about the same as sensor clean would but now I have the kit to do more.
