Lovely staff, very polite and professional.

I booked a trip of a lifetime to Thailand alone that ended in tears, thanks to the most horrendous customer service I have ever endured. I arrived and was informed due a technical glitch by booking had gotten lost, but they would offer me a standard king sized en-suite instead of the bungalow I booked at 50% my remaining balance. I wasn’t allowed to see the room before I made payment but I trusted them based on website photos. However, interestingly they don’t advertise this room to guests in their website. The room was offsite above a retail unit above the main road, with no safety box, lamp, Wi-Fi. plug beside the bed. It was horribly run down. But the noise of the road below with scooters and people all through the night, as well as other non hotel residents who were next door was unbearable. I have never experienced noise like it. I felt so unsafe and cried myself to sleep.

The next morning I met the manager and calmly explained I couldn’t stay there. He offered no apologies or solutions and told me to find something myself online if I wished to leave. He said it was high season and they had cycled up and down the island looking for accommodation for me the day before.
When I looked there was 117 properties on booking.com and well as multiple air b bs , however I would need support choosing one as a female alone. I found a hotel room that was 800 euro for the remain of my stay a 17 minute walk away and initially he agreed the resort would arrange if I paid my full balance, but later came back and told me it was too expensive and to keep looking. This is less than the cost of the full retreat however. He never once gave me any help and I was crying at this point. I was supposed to be on a wellness retreat and instead I was alone, scared, sleep deprived and about to be homeless in Thailand.
When I asked for my full refund in writing , it turned out they weren’t even doing that, blaming it on the website/ travel agent I used to book. This had never been mentioned and I started to stand up for myself through the tears, asking how could they do this to a customer.
I used the F word once and the manager immediately accused me of being aggressive and stood up and left, dismissing me completely. He just hid behind the owners of the resort but never let me speak with them. The lack of empathy and basic human kindness he showed me was horrific, how a man like that could be allowed to manage a wellness resort beggars belief.
I have lost so much money , as well as a trip of a lifetime ruined and have yet to hear from the resort, even a basic check on my welfare. I have received the wrong amount of my refund. Never ever risk staying here , especially as a female alone. I only had positive experiences in Thailand outside this incident but safety is always a concern when you’re a female travelling alone. The manager did not care about my safety and clearly doesn’t care about adhering to basic consumer rights laws.

Have edited in response to comments they have made about Thailand being safe and the room being used by lots of other guests before (not being advertised on their website and not containing multiple amenities like other rooms on their website).
I never commented on the “cozy retreat” on Sunday as I never management. My comments on the accommodation are fair and they know it.

The central location, the food, the body and mind program, the staff and food (again ;).. all excellent and worth every penny. My experience there change my life and I gained new friends for life.

Very nice experience in an extraordinary place, meet some wonderful people and attentive staff.

There is such a motivational spirit about the fysical work. And the good, healthy, delicious food is right there in front of You. Just eat it.

I just got back from one week at this retreat. I can honestly say it exceeded my expectations in many ways. I loved the variety of activities, especially the evening activities which introduced me to some things I'd been curious about for a while (Zen meditation, breathwork etc.). The staff are wonderful, available and helpful. The food at the café is delicious and healthy. I did not get the full package and that worked out for me as I enjoyed eating dinners in the neighbourhood. The accommodations are basic but comfortable and clean. Top things I'm taking away from my week long stay? Great friendships and an increased awareness that I can do a whole lot more than I think, mentally and physically!

Everything was truly wonderful, clean, quiet, close to action, affordable services all around and an amazing venue food and the staff are something truly special ♥️ ! I would HIGHLY recommend natural detox, particularly for solo travellers wanting more to their experience! A busy opt in or out schedule, proximity natural beauty and all the thrills and frills on your doorstep! Particular shout out to the INCREDIBLE TEAM!! The awesome exercise offerings and the most precious and quiet location in the crazy that is Samui ♥️ is an oasis of peace and calm with hard to beat food and smiles ♥️ couldn’t recommend it highly enough! I will be back xx

It was really a great experience, natural, food and the program for yoga and workout.

Straight off the bat was the warm , open armed welcome from the amazing staff. I was challenged daily, I felt this in such a caring and supported way. The sense of community that was felt very soon in amongst other like minded guests was such a beautiful feeling. It made thos harder hikes, those colder icebaths or more intense yoga classes all the more doable and enjoyable. Hiking through the jungle was so beautiful, any questions around local flora and fauna was always answered by the amazingly strong and talented Netta. With the whole experience being guided by the strong leadership Leo (G.M) brings , physical challenges Netta presents, all captured and shared by the extremely talented Elle (S.M extraordinaire) and catered too by the Wild tribe staff, I left feeling respected, stronger and supporting a much healthier relationship with my body. Thank you for all you showed me 🙏

With 3 activities a day, 1 pre-breakfast outing, 1 pre-lunch yoga session and 1 pre-dinner cardio session, they keep you busy and engaged. Food on site is great but avoid the meal package as you don't eat that much and want more variety, check-in process could be improved and itinerary of morning outings could be improved. Trainers are great and committed.

I loved everything about this retreat. The beautiful morning hikes through the jungle and to waterfalls, the fantastic different yoga classes, the good strength classes with Netta, the nourishing delicious food at the café, the mindblowing breathwork and icebath session with Diego. But the best thing I took home from this retreat are new friends from all over the world :) our group was so special and some of us are going to meet soon again ;)
I recommend the retreat to 1000%, the best decision I made in long time was to book this for myself. After the retreat I feel healthy, flexible, physically strong, mentally grounded and my heart was light and full of love.

Wonderful friendly and positive people !!! Just amazing healthy and fresh food !!! Demanding and well balanced program. Only the accommodation/ bathroom would need some necessary renovations. But generally very positive experience. I would recommend this retreat 100% and will surely return one day😊

Choice, expertise, community and food were all amazing!

Amazing retreat with the perfect combination of exercise, healthy delicious food, massages and options for beach time and excursions. The staff is so friendly and welcoming and the instructors skillful and excellent at accommodating anyone regardless of age and level of fitness. I stayed for two weeks on the all-inclusive programme and came home feeling stronger, revitalized and energized. Highly recommend it for anyone looking for an active retreat in a lovely atmosphere.

Just back from an amazing 15 day Detox Retreat. Wished I could have stayed so much longer.

I felt the warm, friendly & welcoming vibe the moment I arrived at check in and was handed a fresh, delicious coconut juice..the small things make all the difference!

The on site Management Team (Leo & Netta) and all the staff are all very knowledgeable and always willing to go that extra mile..they see you as an individual with in the group here. There is never a pressure to do anything you don't want to, you can go at your own pace, doing as much or as little as you want in any given moment. All shapes, sizes and levels of fitness are equally seen & made so welcome.

I joined in most activities most of the time but I also recognised that going from exercising a moderate 3-4 times per week to 3 times per day was a massive jump so I opted in and out in ways that made me feel personally stretched but balanced. The Team encourage you to honour your own body and journey! This is not about egos more about Self Love, appropriate fitness, health and well being in ways that work for you regardless of what everyone else is achieving or doing.

If you're sitting on the fence, I'd strongly recommend anyone to go for it, you'll absolutely love it! At the very least just go for the food which is just amazing but mostly gift yourself a beautiful Self Love experience, make lifetime friends of all nationalities and have fun in the sun. Just Do IT!

A life changing expérience.

I had a wonderful stay at Visit Natural Detox. From the first contact with the staff via email they were friendly, professional, and swift to respond. They arranged a taxi transfer for me from the airport that went absolutely smoothly. I booked the room and classes package and had most of my meals at the Wild Tribe Café, which serves amazing food and has the most wonderful, friendly staff. The staff at the resort - Leo, Netta, Eric, Lander, Ive - were very attentive to any question or issue I had, and dealt with them quickly and efficiently. They were also such nice people! The accommodation itself is very simple and no-frills, but comfortable. The classes were amazing - the 7 am activities (different each day), the wonderful yoga classes at 11, and the strength and conditioning classes with Netta in the afternoon. There was lots of personal, hands-on attention for each participant, which was fabulous.

But all those great things aside, the best thing for me was the wonderful company ... the group of strangers who came together at the retreat bonded really quickly, and the great thing about having the café on site is that you could always head down there and there would be someone to sit with and chat. We'd have long, interesting conversations, and lots of laughter.

I see that there is at least one negative review on this site, and I think it's important to state that, since that review was written, the Visit Natural Detox has changed ownership, and is extremely well run. I'd recommend it to anyone, and am already planning my return.
