Negative experience
As a private health care provider I was disappointed with the level of care and courtesy given by the staff at the Vista unit in Lancaster. I was very anxious about the procedure and so arrived a little early. I was met with disdain as I hadn't completed the form required. I was therefore taken through this at lightening speed and didn't have much opportunity to think about the answers as the ticks and crosses were added pretty much before I answered. I was whisked through to the machine and told to jump up onto the bed. I was told to wear earplugs, headphones and NOT to move and that it would be very noisy for 40mins. I wasn't given any reassurance or advice as what was actually going to happen. It was very confined and quite claustrophobic, and that's from someone who isn't normally claustrophobic. The air flowing through the equipment was a relief and helped calm and cool me down. However, overall not a positive experience.
