Worst airline ever

Worst airline ever. Charged me £20 to print my boarding pass. Also the cabin baggage cost was too excessive. I am used to travelling in no frills airlines in Europe, but this was the most excessive and purely intentional fleecing.

Criminal

I don't usually write negative reviews, but people should be warned about Viva Air. The only way to say it is that they are robber barons. The executives should be jailed and their employees are complicit in the larceny. They are willing to cancel flights, charge extra for seats, luggage, printing of boarding pass, and then will give your seat away and make you fly standby or bump you all together. Put them out of business! Don't fly Viva.

Disgrace for all airlines.

I took a few flights in Colombia and yes I was attracted by the price. One advice, don’t take it. They will charge for anything they can think of. From extra kilo’s to not having printed the boardingpass. Breathing to loud will probably cost you extra. The groundcrew are very rude and not able to give you any good service. Just pay an extra few pesos and take any other airline.

CRIMINALS - PLEASE READ BEFORE BOOKING

I am a tour guide and booked 20 flights from Lima to Cusco and return for my guests. I paid in full and asked for confirmation every single day up until 2 days before the flight was booked. For the 30+ days I received either no answer, an answer asking for more documentation which had already been sent multiple times to a request asking for more money (eh oh I fell for twice).... Basically they gave me the run around right up until I had no choice but to book with another airline or run the risk of being stuck in Lima with a group of 20. After all of this I gave them notice that I had no choice but to book with another airline and I wanted a refund. They kept my money stating they didn’t receive one of the wires for $32 which shouldn’t have even mattered because I had already paid them far more at that time than the cost. I also had previous emails from them stating that they did in fact receive the money. I also showed them proof from my bank and their bank showing proof of the wire transfer. It was the craziest thing I have ever experienced and truly could not believe it even happened. I went through my bank and tried to get the money back and they said the back, Banco de Credito del Peru refused to refund my money so I assume they are criminals as well. I sent a full package with all of the corresponding emails showing proof of them literally lying on one email them denying they said that one the next. Karen Hernandez with VivaAir was the woman I was corresponding with and even admitted to stealing my money. I truly hope she is caught at some point for for her theft, viva air theft and Banco de Credito because I am quite sure this is not the first or last case of this. Please if there is anyone you could do to help me further this case or at least bring awareness so others don’t fall victim please let me know. Clint Bertucci

The worst

The worst. They did not want to let me board the plane because they said I needed a visa, I told them I did not need a visa and they kept telling me that I did. They called the supervisor and she let me board because I did not need a visa. Waste of time. You have to print the boarding pass or else they charge USD $ 13. Worst seats ever. Super expensive food. Can't even bring your own because they just let you board with one carry on that has to go on the top shelves. Worse airline ever.

Terrible service

Terrible service, already waiting over 7 months for a refund of money. They don't answer the mails I send to them about this.
You need to print a mail, and that seems to be your flight ticket, otherwise you can pay 11 dollars at the airport for not printing your ticket. And the people who checked me in at the airport didn't speak any word English and were very rude. Worst airline I have ever seen.

Please trust me when I say not to use Viva Air

Please trust me when I say not to use their airline. You might think their terms and conditions look okay, but they caveat it with *except for promotional fares. Here's the catch, they only sell promotional fairs. Once they have your money they will never give it back to you, even if you change the flight to a cheaper option, they will keep the money and still charge you for a change fee. Don't be like me and expect that all airlines have a fair policy, you will be disappointed with Viva Air.

Don't bother! Just pay the extra coin for a real airline.

Will second every single review already made regarding Viva Air.

Cancelled our flight but never informed us, then blamed a 3rd party booking agency for the error even though we booked directly with them.

Charged us $13 USD to print a boarding pass and $80.00 to rebook the flight even though they cancelled on us!

Booking was in English, rest if the emails were all in Spanish, they deliberately try to confuse you to get extra cash at the gate.

Plastic seats in the plane like you're at school.

I have no idea how this airline operates legally, shame on the airline standard in Peru and Columbia.

Absolutely horrible airline, they try to rip you off every chance they can

Absolutely horrible airline. They don’t let you have an electronic boarding pass, if you don’t print it, they will charge usd $13, unreasonable carry-on luggage requirements, literally only allowed a small bagpack. A small roller carry on luggage will be charged for being too tall. I got charged 140 soles / usd $43 for the luggage which ended up going in the overhead compartment anyway. Absolutle joke of an airline trying to rip you off every chance they can. I arrived in Cusco airport and the flight information wasn’t up until 30 minutes before the flight with no ground staff on hand to help with any queries.

Total waste of time, don't fall for low prices

I tried my credit cards for a flight I needed today. None worked, but was charged for the flight in one of them anyways. Waiting on the payment reversal from my bank or visa. Their payment software basically doesn't work, also during check out I'm automatically signed up for a bunch of services I didn't want and had to uncheck all of those. Total waste of time, ALMOST 5 HOURS TRYING TO GET THEIR SITE TO WORK, CONTACTED THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE 3 TIMES, AND HAD TO CONTACT MY BANK ONCE. Avoid, don't fall for their lower prices, it's not worth it

The VivaAir Company is the worst…

The VivaAir Company is the worst company to travel. They try to stole you in many ways.

First of all, be careful: you buy the ticket by the internet, but you’ve to print it. otherwise you’ve to pay like 54 soles (14 euros) to print the page received in your mail through the company.

Second think: don’t go to the gate without verify the size of your luggage. If you have a bag 2 cm more than permitted, they will make you pay 142 soles (37 euros).

The service overall is the worst that I ever had in my life.
If you have a chance to travel with other company, don’t think twice.

Really bad experience

Unfortunately, my experience with this company was really bad! We arrived at the airport of Cuzco well in advance and we discovered that the morning flight to Lima had been canceled and so our flight in the afternoon; at the check-in desk there were still passengers on the previous flight waiting for information ... no company representative on site; the employees at the airport with very little information available invite us to call the callcenter that never answered!
The next morning we had a flight from Lima to Guayaquil so we could not afford to wait for news and we must arrange ourselves to find an alternative ... luckily there are still some serious companies and with Avianca we found a solution, obviously at our expense .
Moral of the story: lost flight as well as the night in the hotel in LIma already booked, new flight purchased from our pocket as well as the extra night in Cuzco and - after 5 months - still waiting for a refund that never comes.
I sent all the documents, I was advised to keep an eye on the current account at the bank because mney is coming ... but I feel only mocked! No more Viva Air!
