It's awful. In 5 years I've made a total of $4. Unless you have loads of money to pay for a subscription, they don't care. I have stories with likes, and yet somehow now views? Just so they don't have to add the tiny few cents to the total. When there is an issue, their customer service NEVER gets back to you either. Complete waste of time.

IF YOU ARE NEW ARE JUST BEGINNING TO WRITE DONT START HERE THEY ERASE YOUR ACOUNT FOR NOTHING THEY WILL NOT NOTIFY YOU FOR WHY ARE ANYTHING I SUFFER FROM DEPRESSION AND TAKE MEDICATION IT WAS THE FIRST TIME I HAD THE COURAGE TO TRY TO DO SOMETHING LIKE WRITING I WAS PROUND TO HAVE A STORY PUBLISHED MADE ME FEEL LITTLE BETTER TO MY SUSPRIZE JUST LIKE THAT WITH NO WARNING ACCOUNT GONE. I COULD NOT LOGIN THE SUPPORT EMAIL IGNORE YOU ITS BEEN WEEKS ALL I WANTED TO DO IS FEEL BETTER BY WRITING,its sad the only thing I was looking forward to is gone for no reason that's not fair I can't be the only one somebody should look in to that site HOPE THIS HELPS SOMEONE

At first, I stared at work on vocal.com in the wrong way. But I have to study the Vocal.com article on the online working process deeply and also watch a YouTube video. But the YouTube video was not clear. I have to develop my own ideas.When I put it down, I got a result.Yes! Obviously! To be industious, honest, helpful, and constructive.I understood very frequently in favour of my study and work. Thanks.

When I paid for a year of Vocal+ I wasn’t aware it would be an auto-renewal. I may have missed it. When a year later it charged me $99 and put my account into the negative (I had a stroke in July and have been relying on family support for groceries) I contacted them right away. They said they “didn’t do refunds”.

Excuse me? Every site does refunds, especially when you don’t even send out a notice that a subscription you didn’t even use is about to renew! This is the email response I received:

Per our Terms of Use, we're not able to refund memberships. However, you're able to cancel your membership at any time, and once you've cancelled you will not be billed again in the future.

You're able to cancel your Vocal+ membership any time. Just visit your settings (link removed), scroll down to the Vocal+ section, and click the "Manage membership" button. From there, you can click "cancel plan" and your membership will expire at the end of your billing cycle.

vocal. media is a 100% fake and scammer website I have published 100 articles and earned .1 cents and it takes 5 days for me and then suddenly the account is not logging in. I spoke with customer care but in actuality there is no customer service they have. This website is 100% scam don't waste your time here.

Ridiculous website. Their customer service is a joke and the same people get top story all the time. It's honestly discouraging for other writers when it's so obvious that Vocal has favorites.

Full of favouritism and bullies. The same people get top stories and the vocal team are useless at dealing with conflict and harassment of certain individuals. Vocal support bullying, I know many people that have left due to this.

The WORST writing website available, which begs the question: Why are they still in business? The WORST customer service, community guidelines, reviews of content which makes me question the ability of their people to judge content correctly, they will not approve your content and also close your account for the most ridiculous reason, or NOT give a reason at all (especially one with specifics), cannot talk to a live person to discuss anything, and the list goes on. How many red flags does one need to know to stay away from these scammers? Please Medium, Reddit and other members from other sites, do not bother with them!!!

I haven’t been able to log into my account for months now, maybe even a year. Every time i email support they don’t respond. I’m annoyed because I have small funds on my wallet over there, but I’m just gonna switch to Medium.

I would give them no stars if I could. I canceled my subscription months ago and am still being charged. I am going to the BBB next, then the Attorney General next. We all on here should file a lawsuit against this company. I even have a screenshot that I do not have a membership.

This company is a BIG SCAM. Unlike Medium, which I have used for years, the website and support staff are horrible.

After spending countless hours...trying to write and save my work, nothing would save.

All I received in my numerous attempts to resolve the problem via emails were "form replies," over and over. I tried all recommendations to no avail for 10 days. This was, if course, after I FOOLISHLY paid an annual membership BEFORE using the site.

The final suggestion was that I needed a newer phone (it is the newest model every other internet site, Medium.com, and all other apps throughout the world). Or I could use a computer, which I had also tried U SUCCESSFULLY numerous times.

I finally asked them to refund my payment since I was unable to use the site.

Then the email: sorry, we don't give refunds. Naturally I continued to receive additional daily marketing emails and had to block the company.

Another lesson learned. I could not get a refund from my credit card company because by purchasing the service, despite it being non-functional, I had implicitly agreed to their no-refund policy.

Any honorable company can refund funds if s customer is unable to use the service. I suspect the issue related to my location abroad, but the company had no interest in addressing the problem or inquiring ad to details.

Only form replies...the same ones over and over, just from different individuals.

I only now can file a claim with the NY Better Business Bureau and AG consumer fraud department. More wasted time but perhaps to dissuade other writers.

Listen guys! Do not fall for it I got hacked and apparently many users had been as well, whic is unusual as the site should have fix their system at this point but no , it's a low quality website that doesn't garantee the earnings, forget about it your info and credentials and time are not worth it!

The same people get top story all the time. One persons in particular writes an article and straight away top story?? A lot of talents are ignored because of this. It's rigged to favour those with the social media to influence others to the platform to bring in more memberships. I'm not sure who judges the contests but they are looking for the text book clique of stories/poems rather than the diversity and creativity of writers.

I am very new in writing blogs and joined VM with enthusiasm and positivity. I studied the basics of blog and concept of writing articles to deliver a worthwhile read.

However, a week or two after joining. They changed my password and cannot access my account anymore. I tried several times to gain access but to no avail. I contacted them but they didn't bother to respond back. It come to my terms that they shut down my account without any notice.

Up to this day, I tend to forget the mishaps and stressful experience from Vocal Media.

To those who want to start blogging, better to stay away from this site.

They deleted my account for no reason they didn't give me a warning or email me for any reason. All of my hard work 20+ story is wasted.

I have been using vocal media for weeks now and suddenly I can't login on my account even though it is not hack since it's still connected to my email.

Please don't use Vocal media, I got really stress and disappointed.

Absolute scam. Lured me in with a writer’s competition which I had to set up a stripe account for. Then started charging me fees that were not authorised. Stripe say Vocal own my account. Vocal say Stripe has to close it. And I can’t seem to clear out my bank details between them. Stay away from is scam platform.

Definitely not worth your time (or money if you're a vocal+ member). Vocal clearly has favorites and nominates the same people over and over again for top stories. I have yet to see an unfamiliar creator featured on their front page. Their challenges seem to be rigged as well. They receive hundreds of entries for each challenge, yet manage to read all of them in about two weeks?

And most of the time, the winners' pieces make me raise an eyebrow (bad grammar, horrible structure, etc). Anyone who says this website is amazing is probably one of the "favorites."

This morning I woke up and it looks like someone hacked my vocal.media account and change the email confirmation. When I tried to confirm my current address it didn't work so I have to update thbe same address I signed up here. Now, my articles are gone. I'm done with this site after using it for 2 days!
