VODACOM AND RAM SUCK
Y’all are actually USELESS. Ordered a phone from Vodacom SA and the delivery’s through RAM—already a nightmare. I called IMMEDIATELY after realizing I messed up the delivery address (literally same street, just a diff number) and these clowns said they’d “note it down.” Cool.
Then tell me why my order that was already OUT FOR DELIVERY suddenly gets delayed by two business days over a minor change y’all could’ve handled in 5 mins?? Now I won’t even be home to receive it and apparently they “can’t” deliver to anyone else? Lmfao so what now?? Cancel the whole thing after I waited DAYS and paid y’all money?
Vodacom and RAM both got zero communication skills, zero flexibility, and clearly zero interest in actual customer service. I’m so over it. Never again.
The worse service provider
The worse service provider
I have been with vodacom for 30years.They have done internal fraud on my account and their staff member confirmed this happens all the time at their call centres and head office. I have experience terrible service with them.No one is held responsible for the actions a d bad service they provide. Now I am struggling to cancel my contract. Never Never Ever use vodacom
Don't trust vodacom.
Don't trust vodacom.
The deals they give you when they phone you is a lie. They upgraded my data deal to get more data per month since I was due for a upgrade and I asked them is all still going to stay the same with only more data since this is the number im using in my phone and they said yes. Now im unable to make any calls.
I would give them less than one star if I could
I would give them less if I could. I chose not to upgrade upon the end of my fixed term contract, but rather to go on to pay as you go. That in itself was a major mission. They told me what to pay, and I paid accordingly. They are now hounding me for payment for the following month, despite the contract being over, and done with. They refuse to supply me with the call recordings were they state the amount that I needed to pay. I have spoken to multiple agents, and via their Facebook channel. They are all hopeless, and keep on asking for the information over and over. No emails to customer service are answered. Honestly, the worst company I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with.
I paid my contract phone finished…
I paid my contract phone finished canceled my contract successfully in a point of getting reference number as a proof in my surprise a year later I started getting calls I owe them I tried explaining my self for year with no help sending emails worst thing is I'm blacklisted ohh I hate vodacom

I went to Vodacom Centurion mall to report my vodacom number that has been inactive and they told me that the number is used by someone and I should call that someone to inform him/her that why did they still my number and as we speak that number is used to scam people and they told me they have nothing to help me with.
Vodacom the worst Service Provider
Vodacom is the worst service provider ever. Customer Care is definitely one of their strong points and the staff is the rudest people that one could ever speak to. Vodacom Call Centre might as well close their doors, and open walk-in centers cause those Call Centre Agents is rude and the worst one could ever speak to. They transfer you from pillar to post without any assistance but when they want to sell products to you, they know exactly how to talk in order to obtain commission. This is the worst service provider to ever deal with, and I should have listened when others warned me. Never in my whole life I would ever have business with this "SLEG" company again.
My Vodacom Fibre Experience: Worst Experience Ever
I am writing this review to share my deeply disappointing and frustrating experience with Vodacom Fibre, in the hope that it helps others make an informed decision before signing up. My journey with Vodacom Fibre began with high expectations in February 2025, but has since been marred by poor service delivery, unresolved technical issues, repeated billing errors, and a complete lack of accountability.
Timeline of Issues
1. Initial Subscription and Expectations
Applied: February 21, 2025, for a 1000Mbps fibre line.
Reason: I needed reliable, high-speed internet for a special event planned for July 12th - an event that was extremely important to me and required months of preparation.
2. Service Requests (SRs) Raised and Unresolved
Between April 1st and July 14th, I raised multiple service requests (SRs) due to persistent internet speed issues:
Service Request Number Date Raised Status Outcome
SR250517-711388 May 17, 2025 Closed Unresolved
SR250517-711387 May 17, 2025 Closed Unresolved
SR250701-770931 July 1, 2025 Closed Unresolved
SR250624-760906 June 24, 2025 Closed Unresolved
SR250613-749996 June 13, 2025 Closed Unresolved
SR250401-644473 April 1, 2025 Closed Unresolved
SR250613-749140 June 13, 2025 Closed Unresolved
SR250710-785529 July 7, 2025 Open Still unresolved
Despite raising these tickets, my core issue - not receiving the promised internet speed—remained unresolved. Each time, the tickets were closed without my consent or a satisfactory solution.
Chronic Service Failures
Speed and Connectivity
April: Only about 10% of the promised speed (around 100Mbps instead of 1000Mbps).
May: Situation improved only in the last week, reaching about 80% of the promised speed.
June: Speeds fluctuated between 150-300Mbps, never reaching the full 1000Mbps.
July: On July 12th, my internet went down completely and remained unavailable through July 14th, despite yet another ticket being raised.
Impact on My Life
Personal Loss: My special event, planned for months, was ruined due to Vodacom's failure to deliver the service I paid for.
Work Disruption: I had to make constant adjustments, including working from other locations, due to unreliable connectivity.
Financial Stress: My bank account was overdrawn due to Vodacom’s incorrect billing, forcing me to take out a loan to avoid penalties.
Billing and Contract Issues
Incorrect Billing: Despite being promised a discounted rate of R399/month for the first six months, I was repeatedly billed the full price of R1,499.
Overcharges: On June 2nd, R3,197 was incorrectly deducted from my account.
No Apology or Compensation: Vodacom never apologized for these errors or the financial stress they caused.
Unfair Cancellation Policy: When I tried to cancel due to non-delivery, I was told I would have to pay over R36,000 in cancellation fees - even though Vodacom never delivered the contracted service.
Customer Support Experience
Repeated Escalations: My issues were escalated multiple times, including to the "Expert Resolution Centre" Vodacom CEO's Office and even to ICASA (the Independent Communications Authority of South Africa).
No Resolution: Neither Vodacom nor ICASA managed to resolve my issue.
Lack of Communication: Promised follow-ups and management callbacks rarely happened. Tickets were closed without my agreement or a solution.
Emotional and Mental Toll
Exhaustion: I spent countless hours on calls, emails, and follow-ups, with no end in sight.
Disappointment: The stress and frustration have taken a toll on my mental well-being.
Regret: I sincerely regret ever switching to Vodacom Fibre.
Final Thoughts and Warning
Vodacom Fibre has failed me on every front-technical, financial, and customer service. They have shown no accountability, no empathy, and no willingness to make things right. If you value your time, money, and peace of mind, do not sign up for Vodacom Fibre. My experience has been nothing short of a nightmare, and I hope others can avoid the same fate.
I'm giving 1 star as there's no 0 star…
I'm giving 1 star as there's no 0 star option. This service fluctuates from none to perfect signal constantly. Trying to get hold of an actual human agent is like searching for hen's teeth. Tobi the AI is impossible. Vodacom, you are really not worth the effort.
EXTREMELY DISSAPOINTED WITH THE…
EXTREMELY DISSAPOINTED WITH THE ARROGANT WAY IN NHLANHLA WHICH TREATS CUSTOMERS. SPEAKING TO US LIKE HE IS HIGH AND MIGHTY WHILE CHEWING HIS LUNCH PROBABLY WITH HIS FEET ON THE DESK. MAKING ABSURD JOKES SAYING HIS NAME NKANDLA. VODACOM IS GOING TO SHIT. VERY UNHELPFUL AND EXTREMELY ARROGANT. TAKING THEIR TIME TO DELIVER A DEVICE BUT NEVER SKIPS A BEAT WHEN IT COMES TO DEBIT ORDER TIME. Call was at 15:12 on 4/7/25. The smirks and giggles are sickening. HE DOES NOT RESPECT ANY CUSTOMER IM SURE OF THAT.
I switched to Vodacom on May 13
VODACOM IS SELLING DATA TO FRAUDSTERS AND SPAMMERS
I switched to Vodacom on May 13, and ever since, I’ve been bombarded with spam calls. A few days ago, I also started receiving text messages with malicious links — clear, aggressive spam that’s both harmful and invasive. It strongly appears that Vodacom is selling customer data to cybercriminals and fraudsters. The scale and precision of the targeting suggest that entire customer databases are being passed on, putting the privacy and security of all Vodacom users at serious risk.
Horrible service
I went to do an eSIM twice now at gateway, and their agents keep damaging my SIM cards. I don’t receive the verification codes, after a few hours there is no signal and when I got back to the store I must conduct new sim swaps and restart the process at my own expense. This is really frustrating, their staff has a dont care attitude!!!! Because when I asked what happens if it doesn’t work, their response is must try again!!!!! Their lack the knowledge to actually do a simple ESIM. This is utter nonsense. Rather change to Cell C
Once you complain on social media platforms, then only they show care. Now my query is too complex they have handed me to their advance team, ticket opened and now ticket closed, without a call to resolve my issue!!!
Don’t trust them, false promises . Save yourself the hassle and headache, try MTN South Africa or Cell C, at least they have people that understand issues and know how to resolve them.
Destroying my business
Trying to run a business but vodacom signal is hardly ever available.
Impossible to communicate with customers.
Zero response from vodacom customer service. They don't even answer calls.
DISGUSTED WITH SERVICE!!!!!!
DISGUSTED WITH SERVICE!!!!!!
So after 6 weeks of fighting backwards and forwards on almost a daily basis, I get told on friday the 13th that i have to change my order as there is no stock on the item I ordered online and theyvwont be getting stock, but the item is still on the website beign sold, this beign the asus tuf gaming laptop. I then get told I have to choose another device, I go through a list of 4 different laptops advertised online and get told each one is out of stock, so ended up changing my order to something I did not really want, but had no choice, so today I go and check on the status of my new order on my profile 5-**********6223, and to my suprise, the asus is still on my profile and i cant find the new order 5-**********6223 anywhere, even tobi says there is no such order number.
What is going on Vodacom???
It does not help to phone and ask for assistance as the staff is rude and dont care, so complaining in Hellopeter and now trustpilot seems to be the only tume you avtually get some feedback, and even after that Vodacom can't get it right, an item ordered on the 1st of may has stull not been ordered and there fix is change to what we want to give you and then still they cant get it right.
DISGUSTED IN THE SERVICE! is an understatement, i have been a loyal customer for 24 years with 3 contracts and this is what Vodacom calls service.
Vodacom is the most useless company out…
Vodacom is the most useless company out there. Our WiFi is often down and they can never give us an answer as to why or when it'll be fixed. Unfortunately in our area we can only use Vodacom. Otherwise would definitely cancel. Most useless company ever.
Upgrade headache and nightmare
What was meant to be seamless upgrade has turned into a nightmare. On the 3rd of June 2025, I went onto the Vodacom site to upgrade my Vodacom contract, chose the phone and package that I wanted and clicked upgrade. I got an sms to confirm my upgrade, a few minutes later a Vodacom representative called to say I signed up for a new contract and didn’t upgrade. We had a back and forth, I explained to her that I had received an sms confirming my upgrade, she explained to that on her side, it appeared as a new contract but she said she will rectify it immediately. We did the whole verification process, security questions for the upgrade after she said she will cancel the new contract. We finished the process of doing the upgrade and she assures me that all is well, I have upgraded and new contract is cancelled.
Today (11 June 2025) I received my package, I got home, opened the box to find that I have two sim cards instead of one, I called the after sales department to enquire as to why I have two instead of one, as I only need one new sim card because it’s a double phone deal but I know that in the past when I upgraded, I didn’t get a new sim card , she them told me that it’s for my new contract and I explained to her that this was meant to be an upgrade and not a new contract, she checks on the system it appears that the lady who promised to fix the issues of the new contract on the 3rd of June, cancelled the upgrade and proceeded with the new contract, at whose approval, when we ended the call, we concluded my upgrade not new contract. Vodacom please come get your phones, I don’t want them.
I have upgraded online ever since I had a Vodacom contract (on and off) this is my worst experience with Vodacom.
Arranging delivery was another nightmare, I called twice (around 10am and again around midday) on Friday (6 June) begging Vodacom after sales consultants to communicate with courier company that I don’t work on Monday, you can listen to the recorded calls. Guess who arrived Monday at the office? Now I had to argue courier company representative telephonically, he had not been told that I don’t work on Monday, another own goal Vodacom.
I can list so many other things that went wrong with this upgrade but I have a migraine now.
Vodacom is a scam
Vodacom is a scam. Bought a Samsung Galaxy A35 phone less than a year ago (price R 6,200). After 11 months it didn't charge anymore (it gave alarm and message "moisture is or foreign material is in the phone"). Just after normal use and using original charter that comes with the phone. I brought it in for repair, they replaced chargerport. Two weeks later the same fault. Brought it in again, they gave me a quote for repair of R 1,645. Ofcourse I did not accept as it's under 24 months warranty. Nothing else they do and leave you with a unusable phone saying that I have put liquid in or on the phone or charger.
Over the past five days
Over the past five days, I have encountered significant challenges in updating my phone number to facilitate access to the self-service payment portal. Regrettably, Vodacom's customer support team is unable to modify account details over the phone, resulting in a lack of meaningful assistance thus far. In light of these difficulties, I would caution prospective customers to carefully consider their decision to engage with Vodacom's fibre services, particularly given their inability to process payments despite available funds. Moreover, their system prohibits changes to cellular numbers on existing accounts. I intend to disseminate my disappointing experience broadly across social media platforms. @Vodacom
Vodacom is nonsense
Worst service ever.. Waiting a whole week just to confirm when Jesus Christ is coming. For someone who applied for 2 contract phones, they still don't take me serious. Definitely canceling and going with another service provider. These people are pathetic.
