Golf 8 informant system rubbish

Vw is a total joke purchased a vw golf mk 8 auto deisel , I really enjoyed the car until I started to have problems with the informant screen , it used to just turn off completely for days at a time so couldn’t work the heater air con and radio ect , had it back to vw Plymouth who in all fairness tried there best but vw uk was useless as to how to fix this issue , they had the car multiple times , fixed until the next time , this went on for months , I said that I was going to get shut of the car as I couldn’t have a car with no heater ect , they agreed and said that would be the best way forward , as they could not fix it , I lost quite a lot of money , you have been warned golf 8 not up to the job

VW Network - Poor Customer Service Rejection Process

I bought a new VW TCross from an approved dealer. Within one month the satnav system/infotainment was freezing, switching to km and the satnav was changing the programmed destination part way through the journey taking me to the wrong destinations. More worryingly was that the speed limit sign showed 90 instead of 70 when driving on the motorway. I took it to an authorised VW service centre who after 3 attempts and with direct VW support, couldn't fix the fault. I appreciate that a car is a product and products fail. I felt I had gone as far with this faulty product as was reasonable and I decided to reject the car. That is where VW failed miserably in its service to me. Trying to move through the "process" to navigate and make progress in the relationship between VW customer services, VW Financial Services and the authorised dealer was shocking. I spent hours on the phone (including on hold). I had a call from a Customer Relations Manager one day but when I explained the problem she said as her group don't deal with vehicle rejection, she couldn't help me. Ultimately, the rejection was accepted and then the discussions started about how much money I was going to lose on this faulty product. I had to do a three hour drive (one way) to get the car back to the dealer I bought it from to be able to conclude the rejection and at the end of the day, I've paid money for a faulty product. The VW network isn't really a network when there's a problem, it seems. I have loved driving VWs over the years. In good faith I had hoped the situation would be resolved such that I would buy another VW. It wasn’t and I didn’t.

VW Sharan

Bought a used VW Sharan (after my old car was a write off & needed 7 seat replacement quickly) had it a month before issues with leaking coolant got a mechanic to look over the car and identify the fault - would cost over £200 contacted the dealer who said no charge to fix. I also had no front assist warning and they had the car all day and couldn’t find the fault, told them again what my mechanic said and they “found it” then. 48hours for the part, then wrong part came & was told i would get my back car then that they couldn’t as a part needed replaced and not repaired. Rude and cheeky on the phone & wanted me to pay over £200. Had my car a week & only gave me a golf as a courtesy car which i had to hang about 45 minutes for even though it was prearranged so couldn’t fit us all in the did change to a tiguan allspace (still a squeeze as thats tiny compared to the sharan) very poor dealership & very poor (no existent) customer service in general who do nothing. Dealer also broke a bit on my sliding door which they denied even though it was fine when it went in, came back with no diesel in & very dirty (dusty rather than mud from the road) & i was told to expect more issues as the car is 5!

Won’t deal with VW again & certainly won’t buy a new VW as i can only imagine the issues you could experience and would get no where taking it up with VW! As soon as i can get a new car in stock (from a different manufacturer) this one will be sold & i’ll never deal with VW again.

Would never have another VW!

Would never have another VW!
My review is about VW Assist and their response to a customers complaint.
Have had my ID3 for 8 months. Just found out (through my neighbou!) that there is a software/battery recall. Car would not start Monday and engineer called out said it related to the software problem and would have to go into the dealer for updating. I was told it would be collected that afternoon and I would get a hire car from Enterprise. In fact it was not collected to the next afternoon and I had to ring Enterprise to find out what was happening. The car offered by Enterprise was unacceptable to me....it was 3 years old and damaged. I was told there was no other car I could have even though there were several in the car park. When ringing VW Assist many times I was told that Enterprise would call to offer another car...they didn't. This morning after 2 days of being without a car I've now been told that my contract with VW assist says only that the car has to be drivable, nothing about the condition. I would not be offered another car. I was given a number to make a complaint. On ringing that number I was told they would not take a complaint until my breakdown case was closed and then it would take up to 8 weeks for me to get a response! I explained I needed help now but they said they can't offer a solution. What is the point of a complaints team that can't help you with a complaint. The whole experience has been a nightmare. Last VW I will ever have and I would recommend people avoid them.

Don’t buy a new camper van …

Don’t buy a new camper van …. It’s a commercial vehicle and when you want to see how the build is going you have to go through VWCV customer care who don’t have a clue and working from home. Seriously have issues with communications, mis information, training and approach. The COVID card is played and for some reason they all have names you can’t pronounce …. It’s poor and no one wants to know. I assume because demand is high they don’t care any more …..

thinking of buying a vw

thinking of buying a vw ? my advice is dont waste your money on something thats supposed to be a "premium quality car" which it isnt, ive just found out my rear glass has debonded from the tailgate frame along one side, this is the original glass that vw "glued"in the factory, didnt do a decent job did they, as it wouldnt be hanging out now would it, so what if the car is a 2005, my wifes ford focus 2002 has no problems and its done 170,000 miles, vw uk didnt want to know, l will never buy another vw ever again, this polo has got through 3 electric window regulators vw original parts, the window switches have failed, along with the electric mirror adjuster, none of this has failed on the 2002 ford focus, dont kid yourself that you are buying a "quality" product because you are not, along with their pathetic 3year 60k crap warranty, the next car im going to buy is going to be a honda they know how to make a "quality"car and look after their customers. one more thing the "customer service advisor" suggested l get somebody like autoglass to remove it and rebond it but it may break when its being removed, thats your responsibility vw you didnt glue it in properly in the first place, what a bunch of numpty's.

Do not buy a T-Cross , in fact dont buy from VW, after service is appalling

I raised a formal complaint over the phone on the 22/7/21 after going into your Wolverhampton dealership due to a manufacture defect with the steering wheel , complaint refs 2523380. The dealership advised this defect is not covered on the warranty provided.

i have sent them pictures of the defect steering wheel. This was purchased as a brand new car. The defect on the steering wheel is not of satisfactory quality and should last a reasonable amount of time at least (the car is less than 2 years old, yet it looks like the sterring wheel is at least on a 10 year old car).

The matter is not resolved still and we just keep going back and forth.

I will never buy a T-Cross ever again, in fact i will never buy another car again from VW.
