A little bit expensive for what you get but definitely worth it if you’re serious about furthering your music career. This will definitely get you focused and keep you focused on your music career and give you a point to start if you don’t know where to start. The chapters on Spotify, social media and brand management are very informative. If you think there’s some secret formula to becoming a famous DJ then you’re kidding yourself - but if you want to learn how to have a chance at it this is a good place to start. Everyone on the team is really easy to work with and the sense of community with other students is really prevalent. Made some great connections and I look forward to working with Voltage Circus in the future.

After the initial two introductory calls with Mr. T and Ms. A, I was asked to share my profiles and artist career to assess whether I fit into their program. According to them, the program was designed for a small group of artists with a background in the music industry, offering individual treatment and comprehensive project management assistance beyond pre-recorded video lessons.
Impressed by their belief that my project warranted significant support, I decided to join, considering the cost of 3000 EUR for one year justified by the promised benefits.
However, the initial enthusiasm waned as the quote and invoice only mentioned the video course and weekly calls, omitting the specifics discussed during the introductory calls. Despite this, I chose to trust their word.
Over the first few months, I engaged with their videos and watched recorded calls since I couldn't join them live. However, the content of the calls seemed more focused on other artists' experiences than providing valuable insights from Voltage's team. It became apparent that some members of the Voltage team had less expertise in certain topics compared to program participants. This led me to question the value of watching these recorded calls.
As new participants joined weekly, the weekly calls and discussions in private groups became repetitive. I anticipated a more personalized 1-1 treatment and 360-degree assistance, as initially they promised and for the high cost I paid. Additionally, unprofessional actions by a team member on social media further eroded my trust in the company.
In conclusion, while the program might be beneficial for beginners in managing socials, fostering creativity, and understanding the music industry, it falls short of delivering the personalized and comprehensive support promised during the initial calls. Moreover, similar courses are available at a much more affordable price.
My experience with Voltage:
The first two months were interesting, mainly because of the diverse and engaging people involved. The skill levels varied greatly, from absolute beginners to advanced participants.
The most common question and the main reason people attend the academy are about bookings. Everyone wants to get bookings, and Voltage markets this well at the beginning by promising to help. However, the message is often misunderstood, and many mistakenly believe the academy grants direct access to the world of bookings and clubs. This isn't accurate; you only receive tips for motivation and a template for emails to clubs. Essentially, you could create this template yourself; it serves as a polite way to introduce yourself to clubs.
The Voltage team doesn't do anything concrete for you in case of bookings except provide mental support, motivation, and an email template, encouraging you to take the initiative and actively contact clubs. This can be helpful for some to stay motivated and get that push.
I can also add that the Voltage occasionally invites interesting people from the industry as guests on calls, which I think is cool.
Regarding my knowledge of music production and achieving success with labels (though not the academy's main focus), I didn't learn anything new. I was already producing and advanced at the start of the course and released with big established labels. There was also no information about starting a label in course.
The course repeated itself over the entire ten months, and what you learn in the first one or two months essentially remains the same. So, I was only actively involved in the first two months and then just made monthly payments as I consciously entered into the contract with Voltage.
Would I recommend Voltage? Probably not. As an advanced participant, I personally didn't benefit much, and the course was too expensive considering the resources provided. However, I understand that aspiring artists can find motivation and inspiration in such communities.
An additional point is that, as an artist, I now play many shows. However, I achieved this through my own efforts. I used Voltage's template a few times, but there's no magic trick, as less than 1 percent of clubs and promoters respond to emails. I got my first gig offer before the Voltage Academy, which was the starting point for me. After that, organizers offered more gigs after each performance, creating a snowball effect. I keep the credit for successful bookings to myself, but I appreciate Voltage for the motivation during the ups and downs artists experience.
I wish the Voltage team continued success with their projects.
The best I love what I see and what I learn thank u so much

In less than 2 months from starting the training with Voltage, I noticed a big increase in my Socials performance with over 200% more engagement, and it is thanks to what I learned very early with Voltage. Now I'm having recurring bookings and I'm already seeing a return of my investment, thank you team!

I am a participant of the Voltage Circus Academy and so far absolutely not disappointed. There are some exciting topics in the respective online courses regarding social media, fan building, music releases, etc. Of course, there is also some information there that you have already collected yourself over the past few years, but here, nevertheless, everything essential, important and beyond is presented once again in appealing videos. I would participate again at any time, also because the contact to the other members and participants is a great motivation. Gernot has a great team, where you feel absolutely in good hands.

The Voltage Circus Team are amazing - incredibly friendly and accommodating as well as very knowledgable in their respective fields. I love them all! :) The course material and presentations were honestly a little underwhelming in the beginning, as I expected to receive a lot more information that I didn't already know but there is definitely amazing learnings too.
The most value I'm receiving from the course is learning about how to run different ad campaigns on social media for releases and how to build followers, creating the right brand identity and defining my artist vision / strategy, and of course general tips for online marketing. Mostly though I really love the 4 Weekly Zoom sessions and mentorship we receive from the team and being part of a community of artists.
