The Travel wallet and also the Card…

The Travel wallet and also the Card holder have just arrived. Looking forward to using these beautifully made items. Well worth the wait, thank you. Great to have batteries built in to each item. Set-up was OK but have to use them in a travel situation. Thank you. Michael

Great ambition but hopeless…

Great ambition but hopeless implementation. It doesn't even do the basic job of charging my iPhone.

No instructions on setup. Even the website has nothing. I finally found a YouTube video that got me started. Until then I didn't realise you needed an app to run it.

The video talks about pressing the button on the wallet to start it. THERE IS NO BUTTON. There is a secret location on the wallet with a button underneath it but it is not obvious.

These guys clearly did no UX testing.

Hi, thank you for sharing your experience. Dear Frank, for charging your phone from the wallet, your wallet should be turned on and charged. Thus you need to turn it on, check the percentage via the application and then proceed with charging other devices. The button surely exists on the wallet, and you can find it under the leather right under the Camera.

Me & my brother purchased our wallets…

Me & my brother purchased our wallets on October 7th 2019. They sent the wallet under a false name E.R.A Tech & my brother only just recieved the wallet Feburary 10th 2020 because we recieved a slip in our mail saying he had a package waiting for him. I advised prior to the wallet arriving to get a refund because the volterman wallet isnt at all what they advertise. The Photo mode that snaps a photo when u open the wallet only works when you're connected with their Data plan. The GPS funcionality will only work everywhere if you're using their data (they dont give u an option to connect it to your current phone service provider).The wallet claims it can charge your phone wirelessly that is all but a false hope they planted into our brains with Youtubers such as "Unbox Therapy" & the videos on their website, i tried charging my wallet at work & it drained 30% of my wallet & my phone only went up 5% in practicality that doesn't work. These guys think just because my brother received the wallet & his refund (they took 2 months to give him the refund) they're entitled to a full price. My brothers wallet came defective they wont wirelessly charge any of our Wireless Charging capable Earbuds. PLEASE DONT BUY ANYTHING FROM THESE GUYS. Trust me Volterman if we knew what your product actually was we never wouldve bought it. PSA: They won't let my brother return the product they are just constantly sending threats to his email.

Regarding the functionality of the wallet, we have thoroughly introduced all the functions both on our website and via email conversations. The camera mode takes photos in 2 cases: when the wallet is turned on and connected (the camera mode function should be toggled on) and second when the wallet is disconnected and someone opens it.
The GPS function works as other devices and gets the location both when connected and when disconnected from the device.
While charging other devices wirelessly from the wallet, the wireless charging icon should be turned on. Please note that one percentage increases in 5 minutes.
Regarding ERA Technologies, it is the manufacturer of Volterman and surely it is not false. Please, check here in the section "shipping & delivery": https://www.volterman.com/terms-conditions/.

I attempted to file a chargeback to…

I attempted to file a chargeback to initiate a refund from my credit card company. Unfortunately, it did not get accepted because...
"This charge was validated due to the response received from the merchant, advising that this was a crowd funding platform/campaign, which would be donations towards the creation of the product advertised. Request of refund would need to have been done before the campaign ended. Since such request was not made prior to the end of the campaign, the charge was considered valid as a donation towards the creation costs of the item in question.".....

"Your donation is a way to support a project and does not guarantee that you will receive a perk. You may request a refund from IndieGoGo until the campaign ends on August 11, 2017."

But I, as many of you, made a contribution after this "ending date." So they are allowed to charge people for payments after the "ending date" to ensure that nobody can get a refund??!!

I have every belief that they did this intentionally, and I am shocked that Indiegogo would allow a company to still receive payments after closing their campaign, if that's even legal to do so. I'm not fluent in legal matters, but allowing to charge people for an "ended" campaign knowing that customers wouldn't be allowed to request a refund seems illegal to me.

Fraud and Scam Company.

I paid for my wallet over 4 years ago and I still haven't received it yet. This company is a fraud and they will scam you out of your money.

Absolute garbage product.

Absolute garbage product.

Received my wallet at Christmas after a 3 year wait.

1. It is way bigger than advertised.
2. Broken on arrival - red pull tab doesn't retract when you put a card in so it dangles out of the wallet.
3. Stopped working in the first couple days. (won't turn on or connect with phone)

Zero response from Volterman on any of the issues.

We do assure you that we introduce only real products and thoroughly mention the sizes on our pages. Before shipping our wallets we check and test them, and whip only if they are in perfect condition. However, if the product appears to have any technical difficulties we happily assist and try to solve the inconvenience.

I also waiting since 2017 to receive and when I finally got it it had a defect and they finally agreed to replace it if I sent it back to India or some crazy place. It's not as described, super dissapointed. I'm not going to waste my shipping money or time to send back. Terrible

Volterman ScamWallet

I ordered this product 2 years back. I finally received it around July 2019. The frustrating part is that after such long delay & waiting, the wallet is faulty & facing issues from the time I received it.

I want to send the product with or without the refund but cannot courier it back as we don't have a contact no for them.

Total SCAM. Pl do not buy it

Ordered my VoltermanSmartWallet on November 18, 2019 and got it on January 2, 2020 (faster than they promised 60 days). Everything works as promised after setup, There was no manual in the package but found a video on youtube.
Nice leather and stitching. Recommendable!

Am I the only one to have ACTUALLY RECEIVED the wallet?

Back in October when I placed my order of the wallet and the wireless charger (~300$ total) I had little to no hope for them to arrive. Especially after viewing this page after ordering I was pretty let down and ready to refund through my bank. But since I read that you have 3 months to refund through bank, I said why not wait to see what happens.

I RECEIVED THE PACKAGE 5 days ago and unboxed yesterday. To my surprise, I now have a working Volterman Bifold which is 100% up to my expectations, the wireless charger fully functional as well. It is a bit bulky, but hey, it's here and it is what I paid for. Powerbank works, alarm works, camera works, charging a phone wirelessly on the wallet works, 64GB storage works, the application is smooth, the laser engraving is fabulous and the leather quality up to par.

To those who ordered within the last 4 months, have a bit of patience. I too thought I had lost my money, but I was disproven.

Volterman just ruined our Christmas and stole $500 from my wife.

My wife bought one for my brother and I for Christmas after seeing it on Unbox Therapy. They have a team of people e-mailing people back saying they can’t find her account because of a wrong e-mail. Pretty pathetic. She provided screenshots of every page during the order. Will join the lawsuit out of principle if the bank Will not work with us.

Report to the government bodies!

Scam!!! Is anybody going to do something about this? I ordered the product back in September 2017. The year after I had requested for updated and they did not respond personally and still gave so many updated emails saying they have been manufacturing and delivering the product by batches. With such suspicion, I called to report this to my bank and somehow they were able to get away with it and my bank decided not to refund my bank since they are a start up. I do not know who was the lawmaker. Then it is already Dec 2019. When I frankly ask the question where are the finish product, they told me they will block me from responding since I have bad manners when I am just so angry I trusted my hard earn money to them. They must be crazy and they think they are above the law. Everybody in this comment should to be reporting such case to the Better Business Bureau or other government entity. Get our money back!

DONT DO IT!

I purchased online back in October and have yet to see anything. I have tried to contact them with no luck. Unable to cancel my order. No phone numbers to call them. I am starting to feel like I’ve been scammed for sure. Yes I would like more information on this class action lawsuit.

You were very well aware that there is an up to 60-days shipping window. You have never requested a cancellation from our Customer Support, you have only requested information about shipping time. Shortly after that our customer support provided the track number to you. You have opened a dispute on Stripe. What is interesting, you received the wallet, opened a dispute and received the charge back and received the wallet. Moreover, our customer support contacted you once again, requesting to send the wallet back to you, which you did not do and after warning you, we have deactivated the functionality of the wallet. This is the whole story.

Dito. Scam. Don't bother.

Another backer here (indiegogo). Scam is the right word for it. The majority of backers haven't gotten their perks yet and we're almost 3 years into the "campaign". The few who have gotten their perks report that the product is bad and nowhere close to what was advertised.

I honestly don't know why they're even bothering still. By now I'd almost prefer it if they just took the money and ran. Instead, we still get occasional non-updates via mail. If you leave them a comment on their project page, some bot (or very poor customer rep soul) will leave you an apologetic but uninformative response. Either way, don't give them your money...
