Proper Thief

Be careful about the package you are buying if using PayPal. They make you approve a recurring payment , while saying 1 month on the page. I was charged for another year :( which I wanted to cancel. No notifications what so ever and they take your money.

Dear Member, each payment plan is marked correspondingly as recurring or not and exactly how much you will be billed and if it's monthly or once per year.

The sign-up page states the billing cycle for each plan right below the plan's price:
"Billed $41.30 every 12 months."

Above the "Continue" button that takes you to the payment page it is also written:
"VPNArea 12-Month plan, billed every 12 months (you save 65%)."

Then on the PayPal payment page it clearly says you are agreeing to a subscription and you can not continue unless you have agreed.

Once payment is complete PayPal sends you an email notification to revise your subscription upon signing up.

Those are four places that notify you of the billing cycle you are choosing during the payment process itself.

You could also cancel the subscription at any time from your "Pre-approved payments" page in your PayPal account without having to contact VPNArea.

But next month , the recurring payment is deducted . There is no way to cancel this subscription from their website. when you chat support from thir website , they reveal you the secret :

Please contact our billing department at billing @ vpnarea.com to cancel it !

This was written April 2020, and now you reply to in Jan 2021 me that you fixed it. Good for new customers if you really do now.

In between, I cancelled their service because, they cancelled the server in the country that I was connecting to, but the country name was there in therir app to check the connection. I could only learn that the local servers were cancelled after writing to them. What a customer Service level !

Reply to the Update above: We did not apply the aforementioned now, this is how the billing process always was from day one of introducing subscriptions. We do work hard to ensure everything works smoothly, there is automatic server list update in all of the apps and customers would normally have fully updated server list at all times.

The delayed reply here is due to this being a review and not a customer support request. We do have 24/7 customer support, including live chat for any urgent requests.

USELESS!!!! With a capital U!!!!

Stay away from this VPN if you want to keep your sanity!

Wanted to use on both firestick and Iphone and is a joke. For the iphone you have to download another app call open vpn to import servers. Why? This tells me something when you do not even run it through the app of the company you have paid money too. You have to keep putting in username and password, doe snot save.

The firestick app, well, rubbish! You have to enter a url in to download. Navigation is useless. Luckily 30 day money back guarantee kicks in and I cancelled 30 mins after taking the subscription out. Will stick with what I know as it actually works and doesnt take 30 mins to work out what you are meant to do!!

Dear Richard,

You downloaded the old iOS app which is no longer in the App Store and not the app we instruct users to download in the tutorial and guide on setting up our service. Your review is not for our latest iPhone App which is fully automatic and does not require anything of what you said and was available on App Store when you became a member.

You don't have to enter a URL to download our Amazon App, you can download it from Amazon App Store just like any other App on your TV.

The app you downloaded on your Fire TV is not the latest version of our Android App. We have since uploaded our latest Android App version to the Amazon App Store and its navigation and cutting edge technology and design beat any other Android/Amazon VPN App.

It would have been nice if you contacted support who would have guided you to the correct apps and guides and would have assisted you, this is why they are there.

Fine Mac app, quick servers for HD streaming

I'm a Mac user and from the 4 VPN providers I've tried VPNArea is the only one with a Mac App that is not ugly, it has killswitch which I need as I'm connecting from work and it connects fine in Qatar.

Servers are very quick because I manage to stream Netflix with HD quality.
Haven't had any issues.

I'd happily recommend them and I already do.

I am having a terrible time with VPNArea right now. I have not been able to log in for 2 days as I keep getting told my log in details are incorrect. I know 100% they are right.
For a service which is supposed to improve peace of mind while browsing the internet I have found VPNArea have done the absolute opposite to me over the last couple of days.
I would avoid at all costs based on my last 2 days experience.

Excellent customer service, Small company friendliness, big company reliability

Excellent customer service! Very responsive and willing to go the extra mile! I usually don't care to write reviews, but I was so impressed with how clear their instructions were, how quickly they completed their troubleshooting and the personal interactions, I wanted to make sure they were represented appropriately. Thank you Nick and Zack for all the help!

Best online support ever! Extra distance stuff.....!!!!!

Excellent!!!! I've been struggling for 6 months to get a decent IP change or VPN, with no success. I lost some money along the way, a few companies promised a service you don't get and then you never hear of them again. VPNArea - well, they have proved me wrong, you do get good "Internet" companies with good service. THEY ARE AWESOME!!!! I followed the steps, couldn't get it working, then Zack (online tech) helped me online, over 2 days due to the time difference, and got it sorted out! I can seriously recommend their service, and the product is doing exactly what I want it to do at a very low price. My new favourite company :)

Is the best company I found for Canada. Many servers are 0% busy,is really important when I play games online for connection to not drop or be slow.

I'm play poker professionally so I literally put my money on VPNArea, because if it disconnects even for 1 second or is not reliable I can lose $ :-)

vpnarea saved us in Beijing. we all use it to watch TV and surf the net like we're in USA.

Culture shock in China was ok, as long as we could still watch USA TV, and be on twitter and stuff, Games of Trones, boardwalk things you're hooked to. Only problem is it won't happen, we can't access most of the stuff.
Then we spent like quite a few bucks to try services that promised will work in Guangzhou and Beijing and didnt.
right now I can confirm VPNArea works and is fast fast fast
