Hello,

The issue with your GeForce overlay is due to the "Disable Nvidia Telemetry" tweak. We have a clear warning in place explaining that this tweak will break the Nvidia overlay, but it seems you may have missed it.

Please note, when uninstalling VTRL, the changes made by the software are not automatically reverted. To restore your GeForce overlay functionality, we recommend either applying the restore point created by VTRL or reinstalling the app to revert the "Disable Nvidia Telemetry" tweak.

Regarding antivirus alerts, VTRL is flagged by some vendors because it modifies Windows settings, which can be seen as suspicious behavior. We're actively working with antivirus providers to address these false positives.

Hi,

PUA stands for "Potentially Unwanted Application," which is a classification used by Windows Defender. We have contacted Microsoft about this false flag, but they have responded that they won’t remove it because they believe our app falls under that category.

We will continue to work on resolving this, but we also understand Microsoft’s stance. Our app modifies Windows registry settings to optimize performance, and this behavior can sometimes be viewed as unwanted by security programs. Rest assured, our software is safe and contains no malware.

Hello,

We do not include any virus or trojan in our software. The detection you’re seeing is a false flag caused by our app making changes to the registry and system settings, which some antivirus programs mistakenly identify as malicious behavior. We are working to resolve this with antivirus vendors. So far, we've resolved false flags with Microsoft Defender, Ikarus, and Avast, but it takes time to address this with all vendors.

We have over 30,000 downloads and are trusted by many users. While it's always a good idea to optimize your system manually if you have the skills, our app is designed for those who may not have the ability or time to do so themselves.

Edit: As of today, we have resolved the McAfee false flag on both WebAdvisor and Antivirus. VTRL is no longer flagged as malicious and has officially been whitelisted by the McAfee Data Submission Team. The same applies to AT&T Internet Security, as they use McAfee WebAdvisor as a vendor for their site checks.

Hello,

What you're seeing is the default behavior of the MSI (Microsoft Installer) system when uninstalling software. During the uninstall process, the system runs the original installation package (MSI file) to remove the program properly. This is why you see the "Preparing to remove..." message and a prompt asking for administrator permissions.

The MSI installer system needs to access certain files and registry entries created during the installation process. To do this, it often requires administrative privileges to ensure that everything is correctly removed. The "unknown publisher" message appears because the MSI file used for uninstallation is not signed with a digital certificate that Windows recognizes, which is common for many installers.

Hello,

We already include WebView2 in our installation process. However, it may fail if you already have it installed and the current installation is broken. This often occurs if third-party tweaks have been used to remove Edge or if you are using a custom OS. We recommend checking for these issues to ensure proper functionality.
