Had a fantastic trip with Walk With Williams, walking Hadrian’s Wall. Everything was prearranged so all we had to do was turn up and walk. Taxis were provided where necessary (between the route and B... See more

great experience
an efficient, friendly, personalised service - we had to make a significant postponement last year and this was handled with no fuss. Always someone available when needed while on the trail. Good choice of accommodation and helpful suggestions about food. Excellent control over the weather!!

Very efficient & responsive
Matthew was helpful, flexible and unbelievably responsive to the slightest hiccup during the trip. As a party of 5, travelling with another 2, he worked wonders getting us accommodation together 8 nights out 9 and keeping the taxis transfers to a minimum.
We had to delay for a year and he sorted all that. The information provided before we left was complete and helpful for all levels of walker.
We were unfortunately walking in an unseasonably hot April which, obviously beyond anyone's control, did make the number of hotels/Inns that didn't start breakfast until 08:00, leading to late starts and uncomfortable afternoon walking an issue. I suspect this is regional, the Cotswolds being less walkers or travelling workers and more weekenders and foreign sightseers that other areas we visited.
Norfolk Coast path curated walk
WWW curated for us our own Norfolk Coast Path itinerary and it was tremendously successful. They broke up the 85-mile walk into (just about) manageable sections, they booked excellent accommodation for us, found a reliable luggage transfer scheme that ensured cases were always at your next destination after a day’s walking. Guidance sound and all in all a very efficient operation. We have used them before for St Cuthbert’s Way and would definitely use them again as they are so reliable - Phil and Sophie
Great organisation, for a great Northumberland walk
The Northumberland Coast Path is a lovely, well-marked route and I was lucky to have excellent weather. Walk with Williams did an excellent job of arranging accommodation and baggage transfers and provided plenty of information in advance, as well as maps and notes. They also organised an extra day (including info on tide times) so I could walk over to the holy island of Lindisfarne and stay a night, which was a real highlight.
A friendly and efficient walking company. Highly recommended.
This was our second time of using Walk…
This was our second time of using Walk With Williams and this time was equally as excellent as the first time. Previous to using this company we had walked the Thames Path from the source to the sea and organized it all ourselves and carried everything with us. Then we learned about companies that did the organizing and moved luggage and realized, that when we took all of our time organizing the trip into account, plus having to carry everything from place to place, using a company, while technically more expensive, is really cost effective and adds a great deal to the enjoyment. We particularly enjoy the 'lucky dip' aspect of not knowing exactly what the accommodation will be every night and they are always different and enjoyable. Also, getting the detailed package at the start, this time with the official national trails guide, is super helpful. And on this trip, we were even picked up at the end of the trail and driven to where we were staying which was some distance away from where we finished, thank you Matthew! It was wonderful to get to meet you! We will definitely use Walk With Williams for our next England walk and recommend them to anyone planning a UK multiday walking adventure.

The Cleveland Way summer 2024
My husband and I had a wonderful walking holiday, very much thanks to the flawless arrangements by Walkwithwilliams. We walked the Cleveland Way in July 2024. Before the trip we had good communication and fast replies to e-mails. Everything went as planned (and described), all luggage transfer and every taxi/pick-up. We stayed at 10 different locations, and 8 of them were very good, the last two were charming :)
We received useful information and a packing list before we left Norway, and at the first hotel we got a bundle of OS maps and a sturdy, water resistant one that we ended up using all the way.
The walk itself was 9 days with different views, and we enjoyed them all! I can truly recommend Walkwithwilliams and would definately use them again!

Walk with Williams. *****
Hi
I tried to book the Cotswold Way at short notice, in the peak period. Two other companies said they would look into it but it might take 3 to 4 weeks to get me a booking. Macs asked for a large, full deposit up front, no guarantee of a booking???
I called Mathew at 'Walk with Williams', within an hour he had provisional bookings for all the accommodation, I could leave within four days and the luggage transport would be no problem.
His price for a single walker was extremely competitive.
This more personable company, I found to be exceptionally efficient, well priced, easy to contact and very reassuring.
I enjoyed the walking the Cotswold Way immensely, best inland walk to date, and certainly no problems with hotels and baggage transfer.
Thank you very much Mathew and Joe.
Fabulous Cotswolds Way trip with Walk With Williams!
Matthew was extremely efficient at responding to any questions I had, especially when I was chopping and changing my mind at the start re my proposed actual dates of travelling. The overall price was competitive and the whole trip was great value for money. I had to email Matthew twice (during the actual trip) re problems that occurred in my accommodation (not mine or Matthew's fault!) and he got back to me and got on to the accommodation to rectify the situation straight away. It was reassuring to know I had support behind me. My accommodation was central and had everything I needed. My luggage was moved on for me every day, no hassle at all. It was a lovely trip of the Cotswolds Way. It was 8 days of walking and I finished up in Bath. It was a great experience and I would not hesitate to book with Walk With Williams again.
St Oswalds Way
This is our 2nd holiday with Walk with Williams this year. As before everything ran like clockwork. All the maps and information arrived in good time and any queries are always quickly answered by Matthew. The baggage transfer was very efficient. It makes it so much easier not having to carry a heavy rucksack and to know dry clothes are waiting for you no matter how wet you get out on the trail!
There was an assortment of accommodation including the newly refurbished Beach House Hotel in Seahouses and a Community run pub in Ridsdale which has the best view from the dining room we have seen anywhere.
St Oswalds Way is a nice route although not as well walked as St Cuthberts. The beginning along Hadrians Wall and the coastal sections are lovely and well marked as they follow either the Hadrians Wall path or the English Coastal path. The route across to Holy Island is brilliant. Do the pilgrims route but double check the tides! The middle section of Oswald isn't that well marked at times and follows quite a lot of enclosed tracks and woods so views are not that brilliant. There are several places of interest to visit en route - Warkworth Castle, Dunstanbugh Caslte, Bamburgh Castle and Lindisfarne.
Despite the rather wet weather we enjoyed it and we would definitely recommend letting Walk with Williams organise it for you.
it was amazing walked ,

Walking the Cotswold Way
The Cotswold Way was our second walking trip with Walk with Williams, after walking the Norfolk Coast Path last summer. Both times, we had a truly wonderful experience! Everything was perfectly organised, email communication was exceptionally pleasant, and we received all the important documents and maps. The luggage transport worked flawlessly, and the accommodations were consistently good.
We particularly enjoyed the great mix of accommodations: some were very private, some were small and charming B&Bs, some were historically impressive hotels, and there were always rooms and experiences with a special touch. We wholeheartedly recommend Walk With Williams, and the Cotswolds is a wonderful part of England with a rich history, impressive views over the green hills, and many picture-perfect sandstone villages.
We walked the trail in eight days and visited Broadway Tower, Sudeley Castle, and Dyrham Park. If we were to do it again, we would definitely stretch it to ten days or more to have less muscle soreness and more time to soak in the impressions of this wonderful region.
Offa's dyke walk by Walk with Williams
We walked Offa's dyke, southern half, over 7 days in May. It was a great experience. Accommodation, dinner recommendations and luggage transfers were organised by Walk with Williams (WWW) and everything went to plan. Accommodation was good throughout. WWW provided excellent guidance, maps and information for each stage of the walk. We cannot recommend WWW highly enough. We have used them before and will use them again.
Bespoke and Memorable!
Our trip was tailor made to our needs and we are very grateful. Matthew was so attentive and made the whole experience a memorable one! The overnight accommodation was excellent and great value. We could not have done this long distance walk without the support of Walk With Williams especially as Matthew had to transport us around HS2 works along the way. Thank you for your attention to detail, Matthew!
Excellent organisation of our Coast to…
Excellent organisation of our Coast to Coast walk. Arranged a suitable itinerary for our level of fitness and booked good quality accommodation for the length of the route. Also provided very useful extra information about the walking each day, as well as maps and guide book. Two days required pick-ups to transfer us from the route to nearby B&Bs. These both went well.
Wonderful Walk
We had a wonderful walk through the Borders of Scotland on St. Cuthbert's Way. It was our first trip to this area so we were relying solely on the expertise of Walk With Williams.
The logistics that WWW put in place were perfect. Distances between stops met our needs. Each stop was unique and everyone we met was friendly and helpful. Countryside was beautiful.
Would recommend WWW to anyone looking for a help with planning a walk in Great Britian.
Brilliant company. Highly recommended
A three day walk along the Bucks Way brilliantly organised by Matthew who booked our accommodation, picked us up each evening from the walk and took us to our accommodation, then picked us up the following morning to take us back to the walk. Nothing was too much trouble. I can't rate this company highly enough. Will definitely use them again

Our 3rd walk in 3 years and we loved it!
This was our 3rd Walk with Williams trip in 3 years and like the others, it was fabulous. This year we did the Cotswold Way, and we had a wonderful time. The inns were good, the walking was glorious (a bit of mud here and there with this late spring) and we met so many wonderful people along the way. We are already plotting and planning our next trip with Walk with Williams, we just need to narrow down which one…
