Just escaped a 399£ scam from them!!!
Either the site has been hijacked by scammers or there is a whole department just to scam people.
I recieved the first notification that Wallapop has moved to manual processing of sales at 16:52. Exactly same time I received another notification that my item was sold and was directed to click on the link to claim my funds. Then they ask for my card details and exact amount in my bank. I found it odd so I went to chat with them to find out why. I got an instant response which I found odd (considering Wallapop biggest issue is lack of communication). Then they tell me to follow the link and accept the notification on my app. That the funds will not be removed, they just need to confirm. So I agreed and immediately froze my card while going through the process. Then they suggested I open a bank account with revolut. I found that extremely weird and I told them I wasn’t going to open a new bank account because of them…Then after numerous tries or rejected attempts from remitly…I opened my card and got a notification waiting for me to accept 399£ debited from my account…I immediately rejected this request. And the people refused to respond to my texts afterwards.

Absolutely TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE!

Absolutely TERRIBLE experience!! If you are going to buy/sell anything of real value do not use this website. I am a sneaker collector and bought some Jordan 1s that I was looking for. I did an authentication test after receiving them and they failed and were not real. I told the company I want my money bank and would like to send back to the seller and they put the case under review by their team. I sent them proof that the shoes were not real from the third party company that authenticated them.

After 2 weeks of waiting they told me my case was not valid and they were not going to accept my return. Any other company would obviously just let me send the shoes back to the seller and return my money. AWFUL BUSINESS with even worse practices even if you have proof they will side with the seller just to avoid losing money. NEVER USE WALLAPOP if you are looking for authentic brands. FAKE SHOES BAGS AND DESIGNER ALL OVER THE WEBSITE. Use Vinted instead they are way better.

They even contacted me below to “share my experience” and I have submitted it twice and they say I haven’t submitted anything😂. This website is a joke. Get a real call center for customer service and maybe you will turn into something decent!

I am using this platform for a longer time but once I got cheated - they didnt do anything about it, another time sold juicer that got damaged by the new owner and they threatened me to write a bad review if I don’t return money which I did but they wrote the bad review anyway. One lady made a mistake and instead of 5 stars I got 4, she was willing to correct it but Wallapop wasn’t. In all cases Wallapop is absolutely useless, they don’t have any slight interest to sort out even the smallest issue, not to mention false accusations that I was even able to provide proofs that it is not true and that horrible people made me look like some kind of thief

Bad sellers, bad customer support, avoid by all means!

Not recommended at all. Most of the sellers are dishonest and cannot be trusted. Wallapop WILL NOT help you resolve your problem and get your money back in case you ended up buying a product not as described or a counterfeit one. If you dispute, good luck winning it.

I have provided Wallapop with my contact details so they contact me to find a solution, but I as expected, I haven't heard back from them.

Edit Sept 13, 2024:
After 7 years and with 58 positive reviews, I have been accused of selling a fake Apple Watch Ultra 2. My Ad was flagged, after being visible for more than 6 weeks and being marked as favorite by 26 members, Wallapop support asked me to authenticate the watch, which I refused because I don't buy nor sell fake items. In result, I deleted my account and will never get back to them.

The individual initiated contact through my Wallapop account under the guise of purchasing my Nikon camera. Despite my lack of familiarity with your platform, I trusted the interaction and provided personal information, including my email address, as requested by the buyer.Subsequently, I was led to believe that I needed to proceed with a payment process outside of Wallapop's official channels. This resulted in unauthorized transactions totaling 340 euros. While I understand that the payment itself did not occur directly through Wallapop, it is imperative to acknowledge that the initial contact and deceptive communication originated from your platform.I am deeply troubled by the response I received from your customer service team when I reached out for assistance. Instead of offering support and understanding, I was met with indifference and a refusal to take responsibility for the situation. I setup an account

I setup an account, verified a wallet, added some items got 2 people saying they had paid and I the received an email where I was asked to put my card in a second time right next to the price of the item I was selling. I then was asked for my balance and was told that they had to perform a 150 euro transaction that would then be returned in order to verify that I was the owner of the card. Of course I did not go through with this but after all the bad reviews I've read I'm not even trying. On my app, my verification also got denied after 5 minutes even the it stated I would take some time a few days. Why should I pay 150 eur so I can sell on their app. Ridiculous

The protection doesn't work.

I recently bought a monitor on Wallapop website. And paid for protection. Monitor came without cables and without a stand. Not as described in the ad. I can't even check if the monitor works. I raised a dispute and it was cancelled in favor of the seller. The protection doesn't work.

Not buyer protection at all!

Not buyer protection at all!! Sellers can cancel the orders anytime after been paid the iteam and ask for more money! Sellers sould pay fees as ebay. If things go wrong with the seller, don't expect wallapop doing anything.

I wanted to sell a product and enable wallapop shipping. Someone made a purchase and so I had to verify my card details. They asked me to put my card details and my bank account balance. The chatbot told me to verify my card by purchasing 140 euros and then the payment would be reverted. I was charged, the payment never reverted, and I did not get my money for my sales product. It's a Fuc#$%$ scam.

I received a broken item

I received a broken item which was described by the seller as new and in perfect condition. I opened a dispute as the seller refused to get to an agreement or receive the product back.

unfortunately, the post only had pics from the internet and not real pics of the product. and Wallapop says do not cover such sales. Why do they allow posts like this? is not fair and not customer-centric to allow this practice. is not protecting the buyer at all. this platform is not safe and does not protect the concept of second hand purchase.

Buggiest platform EVER

Nothing works properly on this website - either captcha fails on login, or you can't load your inbox afterwards. App asks you to login and verify by e-mail EVERY TIME you launch it...and if it manages to connect by the servers at all.

And this is not the worst. Their stupid chat system limits your messages to something like 200 characters so forget about pasting T&Cs about an items you want to purchase. Then they forbid you to put links in the chat system - how the hell am I supposed to communicate with the seller about something he doesn't know if I can't point him to the right documentation?!?

Be sure to read all the negative reviews for this so called "purchase protection" which is a complete joke.

Just do yourself a favour - go to eBay and never deal with these schmucks!!!

Shady website

The website is very shady. When I try to sign in, it gives me lots of errors. After a few days of not signing in, now it says my password is not 8 characters long. Why? When I created the password it didn't say minimum of 8 characters. I had to click on "I forgot my password" twice.

I set up a Wallapop account 2 weeks ago and sold a set of golf clubs that day. However, Wallapop blocked my access to my Account on the same day without any explanation .!!Meanwhile I sent the golf clubs to the buyer and he paid for them using the Wallapop wallet- which I cannot get access to as they locked me out without explanation. I have used their help section and sent e mails to them for the past two weeks but no reply or resolution to the problem. I believe that they want me to get sick of waiting for a reply and just not claim the money, in which case they will keep the money! I will pursue this matter until I have the money for my goods no matter how long it takes.
Wallapop customer service support is appalling. In my experience Wallapop does not operate in a legitimate way.
If you can find any other platform to sell or buy goods then use that, and DEFINITELY NOT WALLAPOP.
If I get a reply I’ll let you know!

I can't see my refund on my account

I bought a product. However; it was cancelled. From here everything is okay. But I can't see canceled order on my account and I didn't even have an email about that. I wrote the customer service and they told me something about that my refund is confirmed. However there is still no refund on my account! Thankfully you; I can't even buy new phone! I received a package which contained a completely wrong item

I received a package which contained a wrong item. I collected it at the collection point as shop and as i was expecting a chair and received a camera it was obvious and i opened the package in the shop. The delivery driver was delivering and so he and the shop owner saw what I received. I tried to talk to the seller who then said that the transport company had mixed the labels. So I did everything wallapop asked me to do sent photos and video. Finally they write and decline my refund and tell me to collect the parcel from my address in 24 hours! And to then wait for the transport company to deliver my correct item. They do not seem to know what they are doing and I have been waiting almost two weeks, They have my money and i do not have the item i ordered! Not good service,

Horrible app with only bugs and errors

Had the app for 24 hours when I arrived in Spain. Experienced multiple bugs and errors. Horrible. They say it is popular in Spain. I have no idea why. 1 star.
