Absolutely fuming with this company and this branch.
I went to place an online order using a voucher and having recently changed my home address I come to find that they have my old details available but no user friendly way to update the address. What you have to do is email their customer service, wait 3 working days and see if they get back to you…. So if I wanted to place an order today I’d have to have it delivered to my old address an hours drive away.
So I decide to place an order to collect in store. Make the order and drive to the town. This branch is not local to me and I’ve had to travel not an insignificant distance. Then I’ve had to pay parking etc to boot.
I get to the branch speak to the friendly ‘relief worker’ who says the order isn’t there. I can see multiple items of the extract kit I’ve bought just sat there on the shelves gathering dust.
I’m not going to criticise the worker as he technically went above and beyond by texting the branch manager to see if he could fulfil my order.
The manager however replied back with ‘we can’t do that, the customer has to wait for the delivery to come in’ (I’m paraphrasing)
Meanwhile I’m staring at multiple copies of the item on the shelf…
So what the manager actually meant to say instead of ‘we can’t do that’ was ‘we won’t do that’…
I’ve worked in retail most of my life and I know what good and great customer service looks like. This was completely subpar and borderline neglectful.
All this does is suggest that the customer really doesn’t matter. Now according to them I have to make a second roundabout journey and pay for more parking just to pick up an order I’d already paid for and they already had multiple of in stock.
All because you can’t update your delivery address on the website.
What a crock…
And also apparently they aren’t normally open on Mondays and at this time of year when it’s busier than usual the manager opted to put a relief worker in charge instead of take responsibility for his store himself. I just don’t agree with any of that. It screams poor management and diabolical customer satisfaction. If that’s a reflection of his management style or the company ethos I’m not sure. Either way it’s dreadful. They’re all happy to take your money but as soon as there’s a little issue or you’re not interested in parting with your hard earned cash there and then they turn cold on you.
I’ll be seeking a cancellation and refund. I won’t be shopping at the official branches or website any longer.

Bad selling practices.
Very long term Warhammer buyer here, but the last decade has just shown that this company is all about profits now. It is almost impossible to get any new items on the first run. They only make enough to ship out to their dedicated influencers, any spares get snapped up by scalpers. Shoddy practice really. It means to get any new product you have to wait months after the initial introduction. I’m done with them now.

Easy to navigate, easy to purchase.
Site is simple to use, payment was super easy. The only bad experience I've had is with pre-orders, been ready at the time, added to cart all good and then by the time I finish paying all of 60 seconds later "Out of Stock" if its in the cart it should at the very least soft lock it for two minutes. I've had to be at the physical Warhammer store twice now for pre-orders and I even had a killzone boxset I ordered in store not get fulfilled due to allocations.
Other than that gripe with the distro side, the website is a breeze to use and order.

Customer support feels like a mockery
Tried to ask the support for help as I can't make a paymentt due to "Payment authorization failure" happening on the order, I have tried 4 different bank cards and paypal, after which contacted all 4 banks to check if there could be an issue with cards, no, no issues, contacted support, specifically mentioned that i have tried multiple cards and paypal and still have the issue, even banks have said that it's an issue on the webpage and what the issue is, which i have put on the request. The reply I got? "I can see this payment is failing to authorise. Please contact your bank and let them know it's you making the purchase or use another payment method." Great help isn't it? Feels like representative didn't even read a word past the error message. What a joke of a support, feels like a spit in a face
