I needed an emergency plumber and Steve dealt with the problem quickly and efficiently. He was calm and reassuring which was definitely what I needed! I was really happy with the service.

Superb team!
Superb team! A member of the Warmserve quotes team arrived at my property within the timescale we agreed. Very polite and very informative on which boiler would suit our needs. On the installation day, the engineers arrived at 9am and completed the installation the same day. Again, very polite members and no mess unlike a previous company I used to install new radiators in my property. Highly recommend this company!
They came out as part of my Home Emergency Ins…
They came out as part of my home emergency service insurance for a boiler leak and the chap turned the boiler off and closed the cold water feed as he said it needed a right hand manifold and it needed to be orderd. It would be done in a few days as it was bank holiday wkend. Well I thought I could manage for a few days knowing it would be fixed. After a call from the insurance telling me that I would have to pay an extra £219.00 for the job to be done and having paid this another boiler engineer turned up at 1.35pm 29th Aug 2024 and was left to fit the part. After an hour I could feel the heat of the radiators and the hot water was on again so I went to check and he was on the phone to his office ordering more parts and asked him why to which he replied that the boiler could explode as the burner may need to be repaiced as it could be cracked and he said that a gas feed pipe could also be replaced as it was outdated when I asked him if the gas pipe was broken he said no. He said that he would need to turn the boiler off as it could explode if turned on and he demonstrated this by switching the boiler off and on three times and after the ignition it ran quietly the usual hum that it had done for the last 10 years as it is a worster bosch. But he said he had to turn it off as it could explode???? He left at 3.30 pm in a rush to avoid any more questions:) As he has demonstrated this to me three times when turning this on and off. he said it was something to do with the gas and air and I said I am a pensioner I need the hot water and he told me he did not want to hear sob stories and that I had been without hot water since the 25th aug 2024 he said a bit longer will not hurt, He went on to say he had a wife and children to feed and I was puzzled at that as this has nothing to do with my hot water? As a pensioner I cannot be expected to pay for parts that could possibly not be needed. So now 7 days without hot water and another note from my insurance to say they need another £366.00 to be paid before I can have my boiler on but they cannot be sure this will fix it. I have refused this and have called my usual service compny who I hope will find out what this chap has done as the boiler was working ok having been serviced just a few months ago. I now regret my call to the emergency insurance and should have called my service engineer. I will not be renewing my insurance with Policy Expert as I need to know that my home and my contents are safe if ever an emergency arose and this was an eye opener. So rather to pay more for insurance with a company that outsources their claims to a loss adjuster who then tries to put you off claimimg where I believe would prefer to close the claim. Instead I decided to continue with the claim as I just wanted my boiler fixed. The two rimes these boiler engineers came, the work deemed as urgent is not fixed. They had been told that the customer is an elderly person with partial sight they are not interested.
Original call out to the insurance 25th August told he would be there in two hours but did not arrivre, called my insurance again on the 26th and they said the plumber would be there. Arrival of the boiler engineer was due on the 25th but he came on the 26th. The return of the engineer was on the 29th August where the boiler is still not fixed.
My own service engineer came and checked out did say that the parts needed were not urgent and will check this again on their next sercvice then if anything needs to be replaced they will do this then as they have brackets to fix also for the fluebut not urgent as all is secure. the ignition is slight and will be checked again on the next service. He did mention about how some take advantage of people.

Update Warmserve called on the 25th September 2024 asking me to remove my review and asking if there is anything they could do for me to remove my review and I told them I do not need money or anything else. However I would like an apology from their plumber but I am afraid I cannot remove my review as this was written as an honest account of my experience of events. In the first place it is to the shame of NPA who allowed their contractor to phone me as this call was harassment in trying to buy me to remove my review. Now will have to escalate this to Gas Safe for an inspection of their work as they have reported to the insurance my boiler as dangerous due to explosive ignition and should be switched off. Well at present it is on and it is very quiet. We will have to see what Gas Safe Health and safety will reccommend.

Avoid , avoid at all costs if you value your own time and money.
Issue with certification of work
Having used this firm for years to do small jobs and service my boiler, I employed them to install a new consumer board. They arrived on time and completed the job efficiently, but failed to give me the Electrical Installation Certificate that confirms the work meets British safety standards, and the certification company that confirms the work meets building regulations also had no record of having been informed of the work. I wasn't aware until a year later that this rendered my insurance invalid in event of electrical fire, would cause issue if i was to sell my home, and that it's a criminal offence for a homeowner to be unable to evidence that work meets the right standards.
Some months later, still unaware of the above issue, I got this firm to service my boiler. Every previous year they'd cleaned various parts of the boiler eg the filter and traps, but this time they just stuck a diagnostic on, said all fine and left. I queried this with the office who told me the items should be cleaned as part of a service. They then tried to fob me off by saying the manufacturer doesn't let them if the gas readings are good, yet the manufacturer's own warranty booklet states the items should be cleaned annually. I had to request the paperwork for the service too,as they didn't supply that at the time either.
I asked them then to fit a replacement shower, which they did but it didn't heat the water properly. They told me to contact the manufacturer who came out and pointed to a clearly visible loose wire that Warmserve missed. They also said it had the wrong size MCB at the consumer board to support the shower which was also making it cut out. Warmserve offered to replace the MCB free of charge, but when the engineer came out, he refused to do the work, saying the wire was not big enough to take a higher rated MCB. This of course was the same wire they'd left in place as fit for purpose just the previous year, for a similar wattage shower. They'd also failed, when installing the consumer board, to identify that the shower had the wrong MCB.
At this point I was worried about the quality of work and found out about the building regs requirements. I asked Warmserve for the outstanding legal certificates. They were unable to produce them, so sent someone out to recertify the work, free of charge. Only they never bothered to give us the paperwork for this check either! After having to practically beg them to change the shower wire (it was just days away from Xmas), they eventually agreed, but again, no paperwork supplied.
I eventually managed to get something from the certification company after making a complaint.
I left a fair review of my experience on Google and the owner of Warmserve rang my mobile, which I cut off as I didn't want to speak to him. He then rang my house saying he wanted to set the record straight about my review and my husband told him we weren't interested. He then rang again, seconds later, and when told to stop harassing us, proceeded to email me all weekend! He then offered me a financial incentive in exchange for me taking down my review! Needless to say I refused as I don't believe firms should get away with buying off bad reviews to make themselves look better then they are.
I won't be using them again
