Predatory behaviour for a quick buck.

I contacted Warmstra because of a blocked drain and specifically asked for a quote before any work was done.

I clearly explained that this was not an emergency and asked what the cost would be for someone to come and assess the problem. I was told that a technician could come for €39 to diagnose the issue and then provide a quote.

However, when the technician arrived, he did not properly inspect the problem and immediately gave a quote of €900, which was very unexpected. I explained that I first needed to discuss this with the property owner before approving any work.

At that point, I was told I needed to pay €196 for the visit, even though no actual work was carried out and no meaningful diagnosis was performed. This was never clearly communicated in advance.

I called the company again to clarify the situation, explaining that I had specifically asked about the cost beforehand. Despite this, they insisted on charging the €196 + the 39€ and have now threatened to involve a collection agency.

In my experience, this felt very misleading and not transparent. I would strongly recommend confirming all costs in writing beforehand and being very cautious. They are not trustworthy.
