Waste Connection Lies

This all started when we moved out to the country. Waste connections was supposed to be the one that serviced our house. They have lied to me since the onset, saying that they didn't know when my pick up date was, they told me they didn't have enough cans, then they finally told me they don't do residential. So they lied to me about residential from day one. We also rented a roll off. They charged us $1750 up front at $8 a day to rent a 40 yd roll off.
Frontier, who is another waste collection only charges $850 for a 10 day use of a 40 yd roll off.
I would recommend people avoid Waste Connection like the freaking plague because they lie lie lie lie.

STAY AWAY from this waste collection company

I have finally ended my contract with this company, because somehow they've made waste collection the hardest part of my job as a business owner. I have a small shop and we just need one domestic size recycling bin of cardboard and other packaging collected and one wheelie bin of general waste collected every fortnight. The bins were not left by the shop but on the side road, the same place where the rest of the shops left their bins. I would say they would miss almost every other collection, which resulted in several phone calls, pictures of the front of the shop being sent to me saying the bins were not there, even though we specified multiple times where the bins are left. Half of the time the customer service team were blaming me for being unclear or leaving the bins too late when I would have left them in the right spot for a day before the collection. Unbelievable. Paid around £36 for 2 collections a month that they just could not manage to fulfil. Stay away!!! Unless you enjoy being extremely frustrated about the most trivial things in your life and enjoy making lots of phone calls.

Dreadful

Dreadful. Rude customer service when you want to leave, not helpful when you have queries during contract. Also much more expensive than going direct. Avoid getting tied in with a contract with these guys, they just want your money and once signed up not helpful and make it very hard to leave and go elsewhere.

STAY AWAY! DO NOT RECOMMEND!

Useless. Had my collection missed 6 times in the past 5 months. Contacted them and they said that they would investigate, but no reply back. Staff are clueless and rude, manager just as bad. Took my bin instead of the one next door, that's how good their communication is!! No apology or anything. DO NOT RECOMMEND!! Waste of time and money. HEADACHE!!! SHAMBLES!!!

Shoddy liars

Only collect waste every other time and have to phone to let them know they've missed. Won't let me out of my contract. Prices go up lots every year and have lots of rubbish with no room in bins as they don't collect when they ate scheduled to.

They are a nightmare

They are a nightmare! Missed collections, council fines to pay because of them and on top of everything you need to chase them even to get a reply!
Just useless! a waste of time and resources! Choose some other company!

worst company ever

i have been trading for about 30 years and this has to be the worst company i have dealt with , they miss-collected my bins 5 times within the last 4 months when you call them they are very rude and don't seems to have any clue whats going on and if you try and get a answer from them all they say is "don't raise your voice otherwise i will disconnect the call" i will be reporting this company to trading standers if anyone els would like to join me reply to this complaint as i'm sure i'm not the only one facing problems with this company

Prices can increase around 20% a year

Although agreed a contract without price increases they have increased our prices by more than 20%.
They then have threatened to suspend our services because we didn't pay invoices that were charged incorrectly.
On top of that, they have 3 months cancellation notice despite having in writing that we will not need to adhere to that.
