We've been swimming with Water Babies since our daughter was 2 months old (she's now 14 months) and we have loved every second. Swimming lessons and water safety are a non-negotiable for us but Water Babies are so much more than that as our lessons have long been the best part of our daughter's week. She absolutely loves the water and our lessons are definitely the reason for that. In particular our teacher Lue has been incredible with her, she makes lessons fun and is always understanding of unpredictable moods and will always take the time to explain things over again until we understand. Facilities at some locations (our own and where we've attended catch-ups) could definitely be better with some only two babies can get changed at a time which takes a lot longer but this is not the fault of the Water Babies as due to the water temperature, locations are limited. My only real complaint is that our lessons stop over school holiday's but again it's location dependent and not Water Babies fault. We can't recommend Water Babies enough!

My baby has been swimming with water babies for 6 weeks now and its been great. The songs they use makes swimming fun for the babies and really engaging, I've seen my babies confidence grow in underwater swims and looking forward to carrying on.

We’ve been swimming with Water Babies since our son was just a few months old, and his confidence in the water has come on leaps and bounds. Our teacher is exceptional—so encouraging, patient, and truly wonderful with the children. The lesson plans are always engaging, well-structured, and genuinely fun for the kids.
The Whiteley facility is very good overall, featuring a fantastic underwater viewing window where you can watch the little ones swimming under the surface! My only small constructive feedback is that a few of the baby changing units currently need repairing. Aside from that, we couldn't have asked for a better experience.

Child no 4 in waterbabies. I have seen it all with wobbles, no underwater, refusal to get into the pool / off the steps. All challenges met with care and compassion from teachers and admin. All my kids love water but are cautious yet confident. Some amazing teachers over the years

Our son has been swimming with Water Babies since he was 4 months old (now 21 months) and his confidence in the water has grown immense since we began. He doesnt particularly enjoy going underwater, however each teacher we have had, has never pushed him and gone with his speed. The teachers do have a lesson plan each week to follow, however they also follow the childrens lead which is lovely to see. Highly recommend

I would recommend Water Babies to any parent. The program is incredible. We started taking our daughter when she was 3 months. Within a few months she is able to hold herself afloat if she was in an accident. What is also amazing is she uses this hold on skill out of the water (when shopping and sitting in a trolly). The confidence she has gained in the water is beautiful. Worth every penny.

My baby has been swimming with water babies since he was 8 weeks old. He is now 3. He has complete confidence in the water and has learnt so much over the years. The teachers are knowledgable and caring. We have had a few issues with cancellations however, Clare, has gone above and beyond to resolve this issue. She is a superstar and my little one loves her!

Supportive, positive and fun lessons. You can really see a huge difference in your little ones confidence from when they start as a baby.

We absolutely love the content of the lessons and the teachers are warm and enthusiastic! The skills our child has learnt so far have been invaluable and we are very grateful the investment in these skills.

My little one has been swimming with Water Babies since he was 6 weeks old. It has made him so confident, his coordination is really good for his age and he recognises some sign language (as these are apart of his lessons). I wouldn’t take him anywhere else! Also it is really convenient if i have holiday as the parent portal is really easy to use and to book a catch up for a day that’s convenient for me. Everyone on the team is so friendly and helpful they can’t do enough, thank you so much !

We have had some absolutely fantastic teachers who have taught my 3 year old to swim independently. That said, our instructor has changed multiple times and there is a little inconsistency for the children in standards of teaching. Our children are ready now for independent swim lessons but waterbabies can not offer this at a competitive price.

My little one absolutely loves her swimming lessons. She is getting more confident in the water every time. Our teacher, Suzette, is brilliant.

We’ve had such a positive experience with Water Babies and couldn’t recommend it more. Our little one started at around 8 months old, as he really didn’t enjoy the water at first. What made a huge difference straight away was the pool temperature—it’s lovely and warm, so for him it feels more like a big bath rather than the colder pools you often find at leisure centres. That alone helped him relax and actually start enjoying being in the water.
The lessons themselves are brilliantly structured. As a teacher, I really appreciate how well thought-out they are. At first, you think some of the activities might be a bit too challenging, but because everything is repeated week after week and follows a clear routine, the babies pick things up incredibly quickly. It’s amazing to see how much progress they make—doing things you wouldn’t have thought possible at such a young age.
Our son absolutely loves his lessons and being in the water, which is such a transformation from where he started with not enjoying baths/water. A huge part of that is down to Jenny, who is fantastic. She’s always so smiley and friendly, and having the same teacher each week has really helped build a lovely bond. He clearly recognises her and feels comfortable, which makes the whole experience even more special.
Another great benefit is the flexibility—if you can’t attend a lesson, you’re able to book catch-up classes, which makes it much easier to stay consistent without missing out. Every time I have rung to sort something out the team have been incredibly helpful and I have always felt like they have been helpful and supportive! I don’t know another company like this!
Overall, Water Babies has been a wonderful experience for both of us, and we’re so glad we started when we did.

Our son just turned 3 and we’ve been attending classes since he was 7 weeks old. My husband and I aren’t the strongest of swimmers, so we wanted to ensure our son had the best chance of confidence in the water. We love the guided nature of the classes, so we don’t have to think about what or how to teach him the skills he needs. He adores the classes…smiles all around. We love the time bonding with him. It’s been an incredible experience for us all and the best thing is how confident our son is in the water. We swim at LB Whiteley, where the pool is nice and warm and there are good changing facilities. Our first year of classes was with Suzi and then we moved classes and had Angela. Both brilliant teachers. All other teachers we’ve had for catch-up classes or cover have all been brilliant too (particularly Jenny). We’re so thankful we made the investment in his swimming skills.

Took a while for a baby to get used to but however he is a little fishy now and absolutely loves his lessons. The swimming instructors are fantastic and seeing your little one become more and more confident each week is amazing. Water babies is a lot of fun and it’s lovely that you build relationships with the other parents and babies. Water babies has made me more comfortable in the water as well as your child I would recommend to any parent.

We love our swimming at the weekend. Lou is brilliant with all the babies, always reading how they’re feeling and not making them do anything they don’t want to. A great vibe, friendly atmosphere and teaching the babies all about water in the safest possible way!

Great lessons, lovely warm facilities.
Our instucor Alice is so lovely and has made the lessons relaxing and informative.

Classes are generally good and excellent for under threes. We have found by comparison though that they aren’t as structured as we’d like now our daughter is older.
Also the Cedar School location in Southampton, particularly the changing and toilet facilities is very poor. Unfortunately unacceptable for us which is why we’ve moved to an alternative.

Water babies is the best decision we ever made with our little one! He started swimming at just 3 months old and is now the most confident little boy in the water at 2.5 years old! He absolutely loves his swimming lessons with Angela every week and enjoys splashing around and learning new things! Thank you
