I previously had my son in swimming lessons with another provider. In the year he was there he didnt learn very much and didnt get a lot of teacher time. Since moving to water babies I have seen a huge improvement in his confidence and capabilities in just a few months. The classes are fun and the fact that the parent is in the water really helps the kids. The teachers are fantastic. I can see my son swimming independently in the very near future.

We love coming to our Waterbabies classes on Sunday morning with Bernie! Bernie is so patient and passionate about the lessons. Zura has a great time, and for young children the lessons repeat with slight added on progressions weekly and you may sometimes feel you kids isn’t listening or taking it all in. What proved to us was when we took Zura on her first holiday she was like a duck to water, all the skills linked together and was so easy. Can’t wait to get our newest addition started!

This company and franchise specifically is awful. Terrible customer service, poor management, rubbish communication. The teachers are the only saving grace -- but having had classes with a few now, some of them make the experience worse (Carmel, the owner for example).
Please take your little ones somewhere else. They deserve better than Water Babies North London 🙃 And half of these 5 star reviews are from a teacher, Ana.

I wasn’t sure if my little one will like it but it end up really well, he loves it, loves to be in the water. The teachers are really helpful and they don’t push them if they don’t like it or they are not in the mood, they always advise for a different technique.
We are very happy with our decision.
Looking forward for more sessions.

Dangerous for newborns. Absolutely freezing temperature in the Oak Lodge facility. We called multiple times at 020 3617 8823 to complain about this, and an extremely rude lady was dismissing it every time. This person claimed to be the business owner, which would make the case even more shocking.
Our son got extremely sick in November after a swimming session, after which the temperature in the changing room was 13 degrees (I decided to bring a thermometer with me to prove my case). You could literally see steam coming out of your mouth in the room.
All parents try to change the babies in the hallway for the babies to not be called.
Absolutely shocking service and management from the HQ.
The actual swimming instructor is extremely lovely, so a huge shame that the lady on the phone made a huge mess of this whole situation.
I do not recommend these services to absolutely any parents, if you want your child to be healthy and safe, or if you want a respectful service.

I’ve been taking my son to swimming lessons at various leisure centres since he was one year old, but he never really learned how to swim. The classes always felt overcrowded, and the focus was mainly on swimming up and down with floats rather than actually teaching the children proper swimming skills.
After just his first lesson with Water Babies, he was able to put his head under the water — something he had never done before! In only five weeks, he’s learned more than he did in the previous four years of lessons elsewhere. It’s been such a fantastic experience that I’ve now enrolled my daughter too.
I’d recommend Water Babies to anyone and everyone — it’s worth every penny! Thank you, Water Babies!!

My son started swimming with Water Babies at 4 months old (he’s now 14 months) we’ve attended weekly lessons, from day one it has been organised, well managed and amazing. The way the lessons are conducted really helps your baby to learn and become confident in the water. My son is striving and I’m so happy with Water Babies and his teachers.

We have had another great term os swimming lessons. My little ones have made so much progress again. My 5yo doing all 4 strokes really well now. My 3 yo building her distance swimming independently more and more each week. We had so much fun and we cannot wait for our classes to start again in September.

The company is very communicative, has loads of fun extra activities, and our instructor, Bethany is brilliant. She gives great instructions, is patient, and helps the babies have a fun time.

Rude teacher, poor facilities and same thing every week. I joined the Nuffield Friern Barnet water babies but I ultimately left because I found the tutor Carmel to be rude and occasionally passive aggressive. She forced my son to change his outfit when he was crying and had a go at me for not wanting to immerse my head underneath the water saying I have 2 strikes left. What should have been a fun experience has left me and my son traumatised beyond repair. Also they make you pay one extra month if you want to cancel! No changing facilities for babies either - just a repetitive boring walking around in circles every week. Also spoke to other mums that left they all mentioned it was because of the tutor including my friend Charlotte who said she bullied her too.

I love this class. It’s a safe, nurturing environment for babies and their parents to learn new skills. Anna is an amazing teacher and we’ve loved every session.

This review is 5 stars only because of Cici at St John's. She is an incredible person and teacher. She makes all the negative experiences with this company disappear as soon as we're welcomed by her smiling face and genuine demeanour. I really mean genuine - you can tell she cares, she loves children, and she wants to see your child succeed. It actually makes me emotional typing this. My son has sensitivities and feels energies, and as soon as we met Cici and experienced our first session with her, I knew she was the right one! We have had fine experiences with other teachers here but Cici is on another level. My son's engagement and joy (joy is another word for Cici!) in every lesson has been an utter treat to witness. I am so grateful to her beautiful spirit, patience, and sheer talent as a teacher (and human!).
