Water Babies - Suffolk & North East Essex Reviews 

Have been taking my little girl since she was a 5 or 6 months old her final lesson before starting school is next week, and it has been the best journey seeing her grow in confidence and knowledgeable about water safety. Would highly recommend, lynette at semer is a fantastic teacher and the lessons are always such fun. The badges and stickers are a good incentive for the kids to keep practicing and improving their skills. Sad this part of our journey is ending and wish water babies all the best.

My baby loves the lessons, you can see him getting more and more confident in the water each week. The instructor is lovely, and engaging with the babies.

Brilliant underwater photoshoot! Supportive and inclusive and 100% baby led. My swim teacher made sure my son waa ready for the photoshoot and the office ensured we were ready, that me and my son were comfortable and ready!

Bella is an amazing instructor, she instantly puts my little one at ease and encourages her to have so much fun in the water. Since starting only a few months ago she has really improved in the water and with her confidence. She is even holding her breathe and closing her eyes when under water. She loves her swimming lessons.

My daughter has been swimming with water babies since she was 3 months old (now 7.5 months). She enjoys her lessons and is very confident in the water, rarely crying and often being used to “demonstrate” skills which makes us feel proud. We loved the opportunity to partake in an underwater photoshoot and the photos were nothing short of amazing - something we treasure forever. One criticism I would have, is that the lessons are very repetitive. While I appreciate the need to revisit and review skills, to build confidence and practise, some weeks follow the exact same lesson plan as previous weeks which can seem quite slow. As others have mentioned, you do pay a bit of a premium for water babies Vs local council /sports club lessons. We pay £74 a month for 4 lessons of 30 minutes length. I appreciate some of that cost is water babies hiring the venue. I would recommend water babies to others but would prefer if the skills progressed slightly faster for those babies who are ready, like mine.

It has been wonderful to see my little one develop water skills. I have enjoyed our lessons at TruGym Ipswich. WB have a good system for missed lessons however we caught up at YouFit which experience wasn't as great the changing facilities were sub par for the premium you are paying for a WB lesson. Also feel the price of photography really out of range for regular people which was quite sad.

They are a money grabbing company. Not interested in the parents or the baby. A lot of pressure is put on the teachers to bring in clients. They cancelled a baby’s classes because the baby needed breast feeding. Imagine taking your anger out on a 9 month old baby who was doing well at swimming. The concept is really good but the staff are awful.

Charlie was very nervous at beginning but his confidence has grown and grown. Great teacher in a small group. Thank you.

Absolutely loved waterbabies! My little one was getting on so well, we ended our membership because the times were clashing with my little one’s feeds/naps.

Also just want to add for those who want to get their babies started with swimming but don’t have a lot of money the price is quite high. I understand they have to pay for using the pool and wages but it’s a bit steep.

The swimming lessons are always fun and our teacher is brilliant with my 8 month old. It’s nice to start introducing a great life skill to my baby and to make me feel comfortable with them in water in a relaxed and enjoyable environment, with classes that are small in size and friendly.

Waterbabies were to even start absolutely amazing!! If you want swimming lessons these are definitely the people to use. We started when he was around 4/5 months maybe even earlier but the best instructors for babies safety is there up most and honestly feel so welcome and at ease there.

Best decision we made! Our daughter loves Sarah’s classes. Sarah is really knowledgeable and friendly and puts you at ease. Only downside is I wish they were at a better time!

We love our weekly lessons and learn so much each time we attend. Our teacher is so knowledgeable, warm and comforting and makes us feel so relaxed during our lessons.

Toria is absolutely amazing with Rosa, she has made us feel safe and comfortable and we have learnt so much in a short period of time. Rosa absolutely loves the water and that is purely down to the positive experiences she has had with water babies! I have also met lots of lovely mums through this class which has been wonderful post pregnancy. I recommend water babies to everyone!

My son has not always been the easiest child to encourage in the water. Tim has always been patient and caring during every lesson. He has nurtured his abilities and eased him into tasks he finds difficult.

Toria the waterbabies instructor at jethen house is absolutely amazing!! She goes above and beyond to make parents and children feel comfortable, supported and heard. Nothing is too much trouble and any concerns you have regarding swimming with your little one is always taken into consideration and the support you didnt even know you needed is alway's given to make you feel confident and ready to swim with you baby. You can really tell the passion she has for waterbabies not only as an instructor but also as a parent who has been through it twice. Im so so glad I chose waterbabies and im so so glad we were put into Torias class.

Swimming lessons with my daughter have been fantastic! I can’t praise Cheyenne our instructor enough - she’s been amazing! Highly recommend Water Babies and Cheyenne!

We have been swimming with Water Babies for over 2 years and we love every minute of our lessons. The lessons are the perfect length for my son to get the most out of his lesson - learning new skills, mastering and practicing others. 30 minutes is the right length before he gets tired and hungry. Swimming works up a big appetite for our water babies. We love how inclusive and individual our lessons are and how well supported I feel as a first time mum while in the pool.

We’ve been attending Water Babies weekly with our little boy Arthur, who’s currently 10 months old, and it’s been such a wonderful experience. Arthur absolutely loves the water, and it’s amazing to watch his confidence grow each week. Our instructor, Sarah, is fantastic—gentle, encouraging, and so attentive to each child’s needs. It’s clear how much thought goes into every session, and seeing Arthur become more comfortable and happy in the water each time is such a joy. We couldn’t recommend it more!
