Like attitude of instructor - good with the children. Would like it to be a bit calmer and more emphasis on technique

Angela is a fantastic teacher and is so understanding and brilliant with my baby. It’s also a lovely pool with lots of changing cubicles and parking.

Hannah has been wonderful with our little one, really helping her develop not only a love for being in the water, but for confidence in it as well! While on the pricier end (with absolutely nothing to compare it to), it's worth every penny for these sessions.

Amazing lessons, they are so patient with my little one who isn't a great lover of the water. Can not recommend them enough.

We enjoy the lessons at Woodlands meed in Burgess hill, the pool is lovely and facilities are good. The lessons are structured well with a range of fun activities my baby boy enjoys.
It would be good to have a bit more of a personable feel to the experience of him learning to swim, for example we were given badges which was sweet but wasn’t really explained what the badges were an achievement of. It would be great to have some feedback on how my son is doing in the lessons and maybe hear some positive comments (don’t get me wrong the teacher is really lovely and smiley with the babies and she is positive) but as an example to say what specifically he has done well in the lesson or what we can work on. It would also be good to have some more feedback and info about his lessons and how he is doing on the app.

When my son joined water babies he had zero confidence in the water. Fast forward to today… Emma his instructor is incredible. He now is like a ‘water baby’. A completely different child who loves swimming. I genuinely cannot recommend or thank Emma enough. She really is quite wonderful.

Amazing experience - well designed course, having great time

I love Water Babies, best decision I made was Send my girls here as they not only have learnt water safety, they also have fun learning how to swim too. The songs are catchy and I find myself singing them out of lessons with my girls. The instructors are amazing and really know how to get the best out of your child when they are having an off day. I've been using Water Babies for the past 4 years and would never go anywhere else now. I wish I had known about them and used them with my older 3 children as I feel my girls have learnt more and so have I from having lessons with Water Babies. I now know what to do in certain scenarios which I never knew before and would now think of if I ever found myself in them.
Water babies has been worth every penny and I would recommend them over and over and look forward to my continued journey with them.

Angela is an exceptional teacher. She’s incredibly kind, supportive and encouraging. She reassures adults skillfully whilst being fun and approachable for the babies and children too. She adapts her teaching to suit all abilities, a range of confidence levels and the varying moods of toddlers!

Water Babies is great! My Baby is loving it and my 4 year old has come really far since starting! The facilities are great.

Waterbabies are really fantastic from birth to give parents confidence and bonding opportunities.
My little girl loves her classes, we have been going since she was 8 weeks old, and she loves being in the water.
Hannah is a brilliant teacher and very supportive and knowledgeable. The class is super friendly and supportive as well.

I recommend water babies, my daughter she two very happy with it, and learned a lot since we started

I’m deeply disappointed with our experience at Water Babies Fontwell Hydro Pool on 8th November. During my child’s lesson, he was injured in the changing room, and when I pulled the emergency alarm no one came to help.

I was screaming for help, but the instructor in the pool didn’t hear me — there were no other staff members on site to respond. It was an extremely distressing experience, especially with young children and babies present.

Afterwards, I discovered that:
• The emergency alarm in the changing room is connected to a completely different building, where no staff are present during lessons.
• The only staff member on duty was in the pool, unable to hear the alarm or my calls for help.
• Water Babies have since said they will “update their risk assessment” and “put up signage” — but no meaningful changes have been made to staffing or emergency procedures.
• When I raised my concerns, they also tried to pass responsibility onto the pool owners rather than accepting their role in ensuring a safe environment for the families attending their lessons.

I found their overall response lacking in accountability and compassion. Rather than acknowledging how frightening the experience was or taking proper responsibility, they offered minimal reassurance and no concrete safety improvements.

Thankfully, my child only suffered bruising, but this incident could have been much worse. Parents deserve to know that, during lessons, there may be no immediate help available in an emergency if it occurs when you are alone in the changing room.

I’m sharing this to raise awareness and to urge Water Babies to take genuine responsibility for safety before something more serious happens.

We absolutely love our Saturday swims with Water Babies! Our teacher, Dija, is fantastic! An amazing experience every time. We’ve been coming since bubba was six weeks old and it’s still our favourite time of the week.

We attended our Underwater Photoshoot and I couldn’t be more pleased with the outcome of the photos. The photo shoot was set up like a regular lesson with each child taking it in turns to swim off and have their photos. There are several opportunities for the best shots of your little Water Baby. Would 100% recommend and can’t wait to book the next one!

Great class with wonderful teachers 😊 We wanted to do classes that my husband could join in with for more one to one time with our baby. The weekend swim classes are brilliant for this.

We’ve been swimming with Water Babies for more than a year now. This is by far my favourite 30 minutes of the week with my little one. It’s been incredible to watch my little one’s confidence grow in the water & to witness her water safety development! I would not hesitate to recommend this to every new parent. This would make such an incredible gift!

Our little boy has been attending Water Babies, in Fontwell, since May this year. We joined the baby class with teacher Hannah, who is amazing 👏. She is super friendly and enthusiastic, making every lesson enjoyable . She is very supportive and puts your mind at ease when you and your little one and navigating new swimming challenges. We look forward to seeing our dudlets progress with swimming and water safety with many more water babies lessons ahead.
