We have been doing water babies for nearly 3 years and absolutely love it! My little girl is such a confident swimmer and I'm really impressed by the safety skills that are taught and we both absolutely adore Adele. The pool at Etloe is nice, although quite small, now the children are bigger and can kind of swim around independently the space is limited. I have also recently been moved sessions and although the time works well for us, the group was already formed which has left us kind of feeling alone. The changing rooms are far too small for groups of more than 4, again especially since the children are much bigger now. I often find myself going in the men's but then a dad will come in and we have to awkwardly move (which I don't mind doing)
Overall, love our water babies experience and will be sad to stop next year when my little girl goes to school but the facilities part could be improved.

Lovely class, my baby loves it. Not given 5 stars due to the policy on changing classes. If you can't make one you have to book a catch up which could be a different pool and a class you have already done.
You can't cancel the lesson and move the cost to the next lesson
I started water babies when my son was only 3 months old. He is now 6 months. He absolutely LOVES it, the class is about water safety skills and swimming skills which is great. Our teacher is a lovely lady who is very patient and doesn't push any of the babies if they are upset, just encourages to follow the flow of the group while giving your little one cuddles until they are ready to participate again. This is hands down the best decision I've made as a mother so far.

My son has been swimming with water babies since he was eight weeks old. He’s now 22 months and he loves the water. His swimming lesson is his favourite activity of the week. The lessons are different every week working on different skills in a fun engaging way. I would highly recommend water babies to anyone.

I would recommend Waterbabies to anyone, without hesitation. My daughter has been having lessons since birth. I have tried other providers, both private and council run, and nothing compares. Waterbabies has excellent teachers, there is clear progression of skills, it’s fun and child friendly, parents can observe/participate and I feel that my child is safe at all times. It is thanks to the early learning that my daughter did as a baby that she is so water confident now. She has always thoroughly enjoyed going to her swimming lessons. This is her only club that she does not ever complain about!

Fantastic Adele is such a fabulous teacher compassionate warm and welcoming! we have been attending classes now for the last 10 weeks! My little one absolutely loves Tuesday swimming plus the underwater photos shoot which you can book onto at the start of your swim journey just incredible opportunity to capture unforgettable moments! I have actually used mine as this year’s Christmas cards. It’s also helped me so much with water confidence. Thanks again! Holly & Edi. X

My Son is two and we have been going since he was 12weeks old and we love it. Every instructors has been so friendly and always changes up each lesson teaching valuable skills whilst making fun. My son loves to jump in, go underwater to catch the seal and swim by himself to catch that fishy all thanks to the amazing instructor. Plus it’s a great way to meet other parents. Highly recommend

A lovely teacher - Adele. Lots of activities to build confidence and enjoyment as well as start to develop key swimming skills. Adele knows her swimmers well and takes everything at their pace allowing them to develop their confidence one step st a time.

We have been going swimming with Water babies since our daughter was 12 weeks old. She's now nearly 8 months and we are stopping our Water babies journey, as we signed up for swimming at a local pool instead. Overall, I think the classes are brilliant, you can clearly see the progression from one class to another and it's amazing to see your baby getting more and mote confident in the water. I love the fact that the parents are also involved in the process a lot, such as going under the water with the baby, etc. The songs and swimming props are brilliant, we always had a lot of fun during lessons. Some of the things that can be improved in my opinion are the following:
1. The classes are expensive. Nearly 20 pound a lesson in South Wales is extortionate. I appreciate that renting the pool space and paying wages is expensive, but I wonder if introducing some sort of discounts would make it more appealing for customers to carry on. For example, maybe introducing a discount for those who book classes in bulk? Like book 3 months worth of classes, get so much off. Or, every 10th lesson for free initiative.
2. You have to pay for the classes you don't attend. Again, I understand why that is, however during summer time some people might go away for like 3 weeks at a time, thats potentially missing 3-4 lessons, so essentially paying nearly 80 pounds for nothing! Maybe allowing parents to skip 2 lessons a year for free would be a nice gesture to encourage people to carry on with classes.
3. You have to give 1 months notice if you want to cancel. For me, this one I have the biggest issue with. We pay for lessons in advance, not retrospectively, I think that is a policy you should get rid of, or at least, allow to use catch up sessions until they all run out.

When you start WB the child is placed into a class of similar aged babies. For a variety of reasons, our boy was not able to start at a younger age, so joined a class with similar aged babies of around 18 months. Within 3 weeks he was asked to dunk under the water, which in hindsight was a terrible idea!! This TOTALLY stunted his progress and its been such a long road since...
Scheduling and cancelling has also been an ugly experience. Sometimes you miss classes (sickness, holiday) and while you can notify of expected absence in online portal, the vouchers can't be used unless you've booked for a following month. It's a clumsy interface that needs to be much more user-friendly.
Finally, when we tried to cancel, we were told we needed to give 1 MONTH notice, so we ended up paying over £60 for lessons we didn't (couldn't) use.

I would give a star to the amazing other parents who made it easier for me each Sunday (thank you - was a struggle at times)
----
Overall, a really poor experience for us, and I don't want other parents to have to go through it. I hope WB take this feedback onboard.

We love to see our baby grow with confidence. We see that swimming has boosted our bond and trust. Our baby laughs every week and our instructor Jordan is great with parents and babies/toddlers.

We love Water Babies! All the ladies are incredibly patient and knowledgeable. They treat the little ones like family and always put their wellbeing first. They’ll never push a baby into doing skills if they’re not ready or just not up to it on that day.
I have learnt loads and feel confident to take my little one swimming myself.
Thank you!

My son has been swimming with water babies since he was eight weeks old. He has just completed the baby classes and got his badge - love this extra touch. The lessons are so engaging for babies with all the songs. He loves the water, is a real water baby and looks forward to his lesson each week. I really enjoy it too! Onto the toddler lessons now. I’d recommend water babies to everyone 5 ⭐️
