The teacher tries to engage each student and parent in every lesson. However the class size is too big for such a small lesson meaning that babies often become frustrated or bored. In the short space of time lessons have been cancelled due to lack of coverage which is annoying particularly for planned absences.

Water Babies is a great place for your child to learn the basics of swimming. Our daughter really enjoys going and the website/app is very easy to use. Lindsey the teacher is fabulous as well!

Water babies is a great experience for both baby and parent/carer, building water confidence for both. My baby has been attending since 10 weeks of age. Now almost 26 weeks (6 months), he is totally confident in water and going under the water.
The only bad point is the south yorkshire based on (greenacre) does not allow spectators which is really upsetting as you pay alot of money for the sessions and would be nice if you could watch the sessions! Especially if you are a couple taking it in turns getting in the water it would be great if you could watch and keep up with each class each week! Nevertheless still a great experience for little one

Teacher Aimee is so amazing- was nervous about putting my baby under water fully but she really made the whole experience easy and fun too.
Groups are small so you have the teachers full attention and it’s not too crowded in the pool!
Love the lessons so much and really look forward to them each week.

We love water babies!
We have had 3 sessions of water babies now and our LO (4 months) loves her lessons. Natalie is wonderful with all the babies and there's never any pressure to do anything you're uncomfortable with. 4 stars because it's a little pricey.

My little girl has been attending water babies since she was 3 months old and is now 8 months, the improvement I’ve seen is incredible. She absolutely loves it and her teacher Natalie is amazing. Shes so lovely and a credit to the team. Also the lady who helps keep the place tidy is so nice to and ever helpful. We love our Sunday lesson and look forward to it every week. Highly recommend!

We love our weekly lessons. They are not only fun but also essential for water safety and brilliant for child development. The teachers are fantastic, particularly Natalie! It’s the best baby group/course I have done during my maternity leave and will be continuing for as long as we can.

I absolutely love Water Babies! Every session leaves me feeling so uplifted and happy. It’s such a beautiful bonding experience with my little boy — watching his confidence grow in the water has been amazing. The instructors are warm, supportive, and truly passionate about what they do. These classes have become one of the highlights of our week. Highly recommend to any parent looking for something special to share with their little one.

Teacher Gemma is great. That's where the positive review ends. Upon signing up I was told that my children would be starting at the beginning of a course. At my first lesson we were told that we're joining halfway through a course. Their Ts&Cs state that when they need to cancel a lesson due to staff absence, they would get in touch to reschedule the lesson. This didnt happen, but i noticed that I had been refunded a lesson from next month's direct debit- which is useless to me as I was going to cancel my direct debit, so I am now out of pocket. I called them this morning to inform them that I would be missing a lesson due to me and my twins being ill, at the same time I tried to cancel my direct debit and was told I'd missed the cut off by 2 days. I tied to explain that being ill and looking after ill, infant twins was not easy and I had more important things going on at home. I was told I would still be charged for another 4 lesson block because I had missed the cut off. I said that I would therefore cancel the DD with my bank, and not attend any lessons beyind the original paid up block, and was told I would then be in arreas and action would be taken. She also told me- and I quote- "you chose to have them and sign them up for swimming lessons". I was told I could speak to a manager about it on Monday, but they still sent an email saying they would now charge me for the additional block today instead of on the previously scheduled date, or after speaking to a manager.
For a company that work with children, they have absolutely no compassion for children or their families. They pick and choose which of their Ts&Cs they adhere to. They're an absolute scam on that front. Save yourself the headache, and go with another company.

The lessons are so fun, our teacher Tanya is absolutely amazing we love her! Not only are the lessons fun but they teach important life skills. My little one loves to come home and show everyone what he has learnt at swimming that day. The lessons are the perfect length too. The classes aren't large so each child gets their moment to shine which I think builds their confidence while all the rest of the class cheer them on!

Water babies is such an amazing and inclusive swimming company. Getting to go at the parents and babies pace to ensure both are comfortable and confident. They’ve been very supportive regarding our disabilities and the price is very affordable.

Really enjoyed the lessons and it’s been a great experience for my little one. I would highly recommend this company for swimming lessons However, the only issue I have is when booking holidays. The lessons are on the days that we cannot attend, and there is no refund on the lessons we have not attended.

I'm so glad we joined Water Babies! We've been attending lessons for nearly 3 years now and it has been such a positive experience for my son. The teachers are fantastic - they are caring, attentive and make the lessons fun for the children. We started when he was 8 weeks old and he has since gained confidence in the water and essential safety skills. It's amazing to see your little one confidently hold on to the side of the pool independently and then move along the side to reach the steps. It's such a reassurance to know he is gaining these skills at such a young age plus he has a fabulously fun time. I wouldn't have had the confidence or know-how to teach him these skills myself. The lesson program comes up with clever ways to teach the skills through games and songs, which become familiar favourites. As a reassurance to anyone at this stage, we've had a few 'water wobbles' along the way (I think most do at some point) but these really were just phases and they come out the other side with a renewed confidence. I'm so glad we continued with our lessons through them as it really has paid off now. Huge thanks to our amazing teacher, Gemma - we're so grateful!

We have absolutely loved our lessons! Both of my children started between 6 and 12 weeks old. They are now both strong, confident swimmers and they absolutely love the water! The classes are really fun and the teachers are great at engaging them and actually taking time to build a relationship with us which helped my boys build trust and feel secure.
It’s a great way to meet people too, I’ve made lots of lovely mum friends through our classes! Would 100% recommend!

I would like I would like to give 5 stars but there is one negative thing. No one thinks about the safety of children when changing in the changing room. Children do not have changing tables or chairs with belts. Small children lie on beds so it is not a problem but children aged 8-12 months start to move. You cannot put them on a bench or bed because they will fall, the floors are dirty and wet with the last group. Parents have a hard time after leaving the pool, maybe it would be worth investing in chairs that the teacher can later take away like the rest of the equipment.

First of all,Teacher Gemma is great and my baby girl loves her and always enjoys her swimming lessons. This feedback is about the company and poor Customer Service at the office at Worksop. People who sent you emails without even signing it so you don’t know any names… Unprofessional and disappointing. Small business which needs a huge improvement in policies and employees. They will cancel your lesson less than 24hrs and it’s ok to get a refund. They will cancel lesson week before due to half term and you will get a refund. BUT if you are absent for whatever reason they will NOT do credit or refund. They will offer as a “GESTURE OF GOODWILL “to book catch up lesson ( different teachers and locations) so I just looked now and it’s 45mins drive with no traffic. Why would I be paying anything from £80-£90 per month so my baby swims in the location where I want her to swim to then drive somewhere else?Who will cover my additional time and petrol? They stated :This is being “fair” to their customers. I recommended Water Babies to so many people (too many)who joined including two friends who swim with me and now I will leave feedback on every social media website to make sure people are aware not to join. They also say they explain to you policy and cancellation rules (you need to cancel 4 weeks in advance) I only found out from reviews on here. They did not explain this at all. They also say they ring you to check up if everything is fine. Well… we started in January and no one ever rang me. They tried to ring this morning after I sent chasing email yesterday as no one was responding to me. Shame on you. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY AND TIME.
*edit* You already emailed me and told me lesson can not be credited or refunded so there is nothing to discuss.

Gemma is an amazing teacher! Her lessons are always well thought out and exciting and she is great at helping to build their confidence, especially if your little one is a little nervous in the water. Would 100% recommend WaterBabies, ask for a lesson with Gemma!
