I purchased two Waterdrop M6SL systems and have been disappointed with both the design and the lack of technical information. The feed tank must be lifted and carefully seated into a groove each time it is filled, which is inconvenient. The waste-water tank also fills surprisingly fast, sometimes while water still remains in the feed tank. Our incoming water is already quite soft, which makes this even more concerning. I asked whether a drain tube could be added to the waste tank to make refilling easier, but Waterdrop did not support that option. I also asked for quantitative data supporting the advertised remineralization feature. Waterdrop confirmed that calcium, magnesium, and other mineral ions are released, but could not provide actual mineral concentrations or even typical post-remineralization TDS data. Without independent test data, I also cannot verify what the finished water actually contains or how effectively this particular unit performs as advertised. Considering the awkward design, rapid waste-water buildup, lack of a drain option, and limited supporting data, I would not purchase the M6SL again in its current form.
The taste is great, the system is simple to operate, and it's nice not to have the recycling bin full of plastic bottles. What we paid for bottled water will cover this system's cost in less than a year.
I got it to help with a Water Pik, might as well use really clean water in a little pump. The plastic Brita isn’t missed at all, the water is smooth and it tastes fine. The machine is easy to use.
Very good buy, the water tastes very good.
