It was almost perfect, but there is an important detail to be added to the delivery process. A time window needs to be added to the date, which the office does have as I found out when I rang them. I... See more

Not happy
Not happy. Ordered oil on 3rd March and was told to look on my portal for price and delivery date. So I looked on Monday 6th oil was going to be delivered on March 13 th at a cost of £411.19,
No oil came on the 13th had ring on the Monday 16 to find out why, they said delay in delivery but will be with you on Tuesday. Tuesday came no oil, again phoned them to ask where is my oil, sorry it will be with you on Wednesday next day, next day come no oil, again phoned them to say no oil, they said sorry it will be with you on Friday 20th, my oil came I also discovered that my oil price that they gave me when I ordered had shot up to nearly doubled, from £411 to £772.92,
I been with Watson’s for years and I feel they are profiteering here, and I’m not a very happy customer, yes I am registered disable with breathing problems, chronic lung disease, heart disease breathing problems so need to have heating on or if it’s to cold my breathing struggles,
I’m not asking for anything special otjer then to have my order delivered when they say it would be and to pay what I was told how much it was, not doubled after it was delivered

Very poor service to an account holder
Due to a fault on the oil tank gauge the oil ran out on Thursday 12 March. Being an account holder of some years with Watsons, listed as vulnerable, when I phoned to order oil I was originally told delivery would take several weeks.
Late Friday afternoon I was then told delivery would take place on Saturday 14 at 2.30pm. Good news, or so I thought. There was no delivery and I was left over a very cold weekend with no oil. The house temperature went down to 10.5c.
When Watsons eventually delivered midday on 16 March the driver said he was glad he had not followed the delivery schedule he had been given as I was LAST on the list and delivery would, again, not have taken place. His delivery information did NOT say A) run out B) Vulnerable customer
I feel this was incredibly poor service even given the current oil/Iran war situation and I would appreciate a sincere apology

As a regular customer / account holder…
As a regular customer / account holder you usually meet a lower price if I get another quote. Sadly I feel there is some profiteering at the moment as oil that’s being sold at the moment has been in stock before the present crisis. However, I’m generally happy with the service I’ve had over the last thirty plus years.

From the moment I rang Watson‘s I was treated to a pleasant and helpful lady who Wyn asked for her lowest price for the quantity I needed gave it to me immediately and it was far better than the company I’ve been using for years,
Delivery arrived early charming Delivery operator let me no doubts that this Company‘s customer care was top of their priority. Very happy and thank you.

Always come around the time I asked for, the guy who delivers to my address knows where my tank is and fills it up and then lets me know he's filled the tank. First class service..
Great customer service
A Good and reliable service
The Customer Services person I spoke to was polite, informative and efficient . Oil deliveries have always been within the time scale stated .
My experience with Watson Fuels has…
My experience with Watson Fuels has been extremely disappointing and unprofessional.
During the application process, I was contacted by a representative whose communication style was unnecessarily aggressive and unhelpful. While requesting company details is standard, the approach taken was excessive, with repeated calls asking for additional information that did not appear relevant to the application.
There is already an online application system in place, so the repeated follow-ups and inconsistent requests created unnecessary delays and frustration.
After a prolonged process, the application was declined without any clear or formal explanation. When I requested a written confirmation of the refusal via email for record purposes, this was refused. I was told that a phone call was sufficient, which is not acceptable for a business dealing with UK clients and formal applications.
This raises serious concerns about internal processes, transparency, and how new customers are treated. A business of this scale should have clear communication standards and provide proper documentation, especially when declining applications.
Based on this experience, I would strongly advise other businesses to proceed with caution and carefully review alternatives before sharing sensitive company information.

Delivers on stated date by friendly and polite drivers. Could add more call handlers as time taken to answer call is too long.

Our order was not placed by the telephone operator we spoke to. We only found out 2 weeks later when we checked again, not having heard back. We will now have to wait again for our fuel which is 3 times the price of our last delivery.

We have been a Watson customer for 30 years.
When we phoned to place an order recently we were told price was 140.9 currently but price would be charged at what ever the price was on the day.
We went to Boilerjuice and have just taken delivery of our oil at a very competitive price!
Needless to say we are considering cancelling our account with Watson's.
Customer service non-existant for some time.
Carrying out what you agreed to do would help for starters. I was overcharged by £110. Your agent acknowledged this on three seperate ocassions and stated clearly what had gone wrong, yet nothing has been done. You could not give me a quote for fuel so I went elsewhere where I received a quote prior to fuel price increases. I have cancelled my direct debit and with it tank scout but this has not been actioned. It seems customer service is non-existant.
