Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Evaluating 57 reviews, most reviewers were somewhat happy with their experience overall. Many customers appreciate the wide selection of products, competitive prices, and the quality of the items they receive. People often find the ordering process smooth and straightforward, with some even receiving their orders earlier than expected. Reviewers frequently highlight the fast shipping and the inclusion of bonus gifts or freebies with their purchases. However, some customers also noted significant issues with order processing and delivery times, often experiencing delays that they attribute to the company rather than the shipping carrier. There are also reports of missing items, incorrect products, and a lack of compensation or refunds for these issues, with some feeling that customer service is unresponsive or unhelpful. Additionally, a few people expressed dissatisfaction with the quality of certain products, describing them as rancid, expired, or not meeting expected standards.

The good and the bad, and suggestions for improvement

Looking back on my history with this company, I see I have placed more than two dozen orders for dried flower over the last 38 months, and have spent several thousands of dollars. For me, this is medication for the treatment in so far 5.5 years of physical therapy. This is my medicine.

In order for me to have been with them this long, they must have been doing something right, which they were, and sometimes still do. Many times the flower I got was better than I had expected, conversely though, it was occasionally not great at all, but overall the balance was good for me and I had no complaints. However, they still do occasionally make mistakes, and this review will address that situation as well as make suggestions as to how to improve.

My recent One Star review explains my latest mishap.

In brief, the issue came with order fulfillment after a sale.

I’d placed the order, paid, and was issued a Canada Post Tracking Number which tells me the order has been created, but not yet picked up by Post, something normally happening on the next business day.

In this case, I was contacted after receiving my tracking number, told one of my items was no longer in stock, and what would I choose instead? This was communicated to my via email from their site.

I made my choice and responded to their email, but heard nothing back.

A few days later I sent another email with a different substitution suggestion thinking maybe they didn’t like the first one. Still no response, but increasing frustration.

In reaching out to the Chat service, I got pleasant responses, but they all boiled down to cut-and-paste versions of, “Canada Post may be slow, please be patient. Thank you. (now stop bothering us), and their insistence that the package has been shipped as it would be impossible to still be there.

I kept insisting it hadn’t been created with the missing item, but was never believed, and nothing was done until the publication of my One Star review.

At that point they finally came back with an explanation of how the email from them with the order number as the subject line, to which I responded, ended up in their own Spam folder to be ignored for a week, and they then issued me points as credit for the missing item.

Finally, the order was found/created/fulfilled and picked up by Canada Post for successful delivery. Sadly, the items missing, which had been out of stock when I ordered but were now back in stock were missing from the order. I got points instead.

This whole affair was stupidly frustrating with such arrogance from customer service in their incorrect responses.

One question TrustPilot asks is what can be done to improve. Here are some suggestions.

1) Curate the SPAM folder at least twice per day, delegated to one person on a rotating basis. Once in the morning shortly after the beginning of their shift, and then again in the afternoon prior to the closing of the order fulfillment department, but with enough time to complete those found orders.

2) Find a way to better flag the outstanding and uncompleted orders.

3) Find a way to issue credits that is more fair and reasonable.

In this case, I’ve got points enough for credit of $100.00, but with limitations as to how I can use them. These points are given as credit for actual money I spent from my bank account, and with which I could buy things on sale, and pay for shipping.

With my points, I now cannot buy things on sale. If you use the sale code, you cannot use points as well.

Furthermore, I cannot use the points to pay for shipping.

Instead of completing the order correctly with the items now in stock, I must now purchase them at full price and then as an extra insult must pay even more for shipping to get those items.

Sure, the system is designed to protect them, but it sure screws over the customer, doesn’t it? That issue really needs to be addressed.

4) Finally, make Chat more responsive and able to take action. There had been too many instances of the ChatBot simply saying, “email us”, only to then have the emails ignored.
