Innovate: Coding March

Great course with fantastic tutors. Previous course was quickly recapped and then expanded on, project work was set with deadlines assigned and ample support provided by the course tutors. Videos of the sessions were provided for recap and reference along with course materials to follow along with.

Covered HTML, Javascipt, Python, and CSS - feel this is a good start for someone looking to get into wed development or coding.

Amazing Experience

I have recently completed a 3 week course with Code Nation to learn the basics of Python, HTML & CSS. Everybody I encountered at Code Nation was knowledgable, approachable and really friendly. I struggled at first with virtual learning via Zoom as this was not somehting I was used to doing but Jay (course teacher) was amazing throughout and always went above and beyond to ensure myself and everybody else were comfortable with the learning experience and we weren't missing any of the information. Even after the course had concluded, I had a follow up session with Zoe who helped me through creating a LinkedIn profile (I hate writing about myself) so I could network with people in the industry. I couldn't be happier with Code Nation and would reccomend them to anybody with an interest in learning to code.

Hi there I would like to give some feedback about my course I did with use.

My tutors were Keira And Jenny course dated 11th of April till 29th April.

I would like to say that I think My tutors were amazing , extremely helpful , and friendly.
The things I have learnt over taking this course were explained extremely well .

And Keira made the course fun as well as Full of learning when I struggled with anything Keira took time to help me out and help me catch up .
Also took time to speak to me about my personal life that I have been struggling with due to family issues.

I would fully recommend this course and the tutors of this course to anyone that asks about any tech courses.

Thank you for allowing me to be part of this course and I wish everyone the best in the tech journeys..

Took the 3 week coding course…

Took the 3 week coding course (virtual). Great outlet to learn code and experiment in creative ways despite the short timeframe. Helpful and patient teachers. The post-employability side seems a bit lacking in terms of job availability in the Liverpool area.

3 week vocational coding course

I was advised by my work coach about the opportunity for a government funded coding course through Codenation and from the moment of first contact I had nothing but complete positive, consummate professional experiences throughout my time with them.
The first two weeks were the teaching and implementation through team project and example of Python, a language entirely new to me and certainly not my strong point, however it was made enjoyable and constructive, by firstly Ezra, who was the admissions representative and painted an accurate glowing outline of the course.
This was followed up by our being in the hands of a fairly new, yet wholly competent, capable, friendly and personable tutor by the name of Demi. A wise head on relatively youthful shoulders, considering her expansive command of her subject matter and her innate ability to put the information across in such a way as to be inclusive of everybody, leaving no one behind, yet at the same time avoiding boredom for the more advanced students. This alone is no mean feat when you consider a zoom class of over 20 students. We were guided through the team project and assisted wherever needed, whilst being encouraged to take the initiative for ourselves. The skills attained here did not stop merely at coding, but rather included confidence building opportunities to tackle public speaking and project management. Overcoming every aspect of working as a team brought into play all transferable skills and any negative situations were expertly handled quickly, effectively and efficiently by the tutor and the team behind her.
Following on from the completion of the first fortnight, we had a final week of web development, encasing the creation, uploading, correcting and planning of an HTML site with CSS included. No matter how much of a challenge this was (and for me, it appeared unsurmountable at one point, until the tutor was able to turn around my despair and bring me to a successful conclusion by taking the time, above and beyond my expectations and further than her reasonable duty should have gone).
Supported throughout by the team of dedicated professionals, some with regards sourcing employment, some involved in CV creation etc the entire experience was manifestly rewarding and fulfilling and could not have been a better time spent for the money. I notice the exception to the rule in finding a bad review from someone clearly not capable of appreciating just what was on offer here, yet true to form the team, or rather "family" at Codenation (for that is how it feels when involved, like a well integrated happy, positive family) stayed positive and used the criticism in a constructive way, subtly and tactfully belittling the negatives, simply by responding with truth to expose the petty and inaccurate claims of one clearly bitter at life individual. I say this because I cannot find fault, as could none of my fellow students, whatever their standard with any aspect, from the masterful tuition, through curriculum, right to the conclusion, with clearly established goals and a sense of achievement upon conclusion. I have come away with an explosion of now widely varying opportunities ranging from the option of further study, to employment prospects, or simply a new found self-belief, confidence and enthusiasm from the knowledge and experience instilled in me by the previous three weeks. It was a rollercoaster of positive learning from which I was sad yet motivated upon leaving.
Encouraged as we were to keep in touch, as most often is said at the end of such occasions, this time the sentiment was enveloped in sincerity and genuine empathy, by those who have lived through the experience that all of us students were involved in and I for one, will be following up on that opportunity and have already taken steps to seek further education through Codenation. I have nothing but the utmost respect for this company and would never hesitate to recommend them to anyone with a positive attitude and desire to better themselves.

Exceptional

Everyone on the course being students and teachers were very friendly and informative. My tutor Keira Jarvis was available to help whenever I needed, so much so I felt a little guilty. Also Keiras knowledge in her field is vast and is open to sharing.

Great coding courses

Thoroughly enjoyed the XR coding course. The tutor was very engaging and was always on hand to help with queries. I have learnt a lot in the short space of time and will be continuing my studies in my own time to build on this experience and knowledge gained. Loved it.

Great course for beginners

The course material can be challenging for absolute beginners, but i watched multiple people who could barely even operate a computer at the start stick with the course and develop a strong understanding of all the concepts discussed, as well as make their own fairly complex text-based game using Python.

The course is aimed at beginners, but can also help people slightly familiar with code a slightly stronger foundation. I fell into the second category.

Because of the target audience of this course, the tutors naturally dwell a lot on core concepts to make sure the absolute beginners don't get overwhelmed, but this can be boring for the more experienced coders. Fortunately, they allow flexibility when it comes to individual learning styles.

They put a lot of effort into making sure all the info that is covered in class is also written down in resources accessible by anyone as the course progresses, as well as recording every session for people to look back on later. This allowed me to occasionally mute zoom to work on the research and projects independently by simply using the resources.
