I can't even speak to anyone about paying the loan off in full because Monzo are to busy or lazy to F#&king reply to me...

Rang Monzo, got an Indian sounding lady that was useless. Took all my security details only to inform me she couldn’t help and to ring back the same number I had already rang! I asked what if I get you again that can t help me? Frustrating and still no resolution. I will be closing the account AS SOON AS I GET ACCESS

I had an issue transferring money and it was SO difficult getting someone on the phone to help!! This is outrageous since it’s such an important thing. Equally there was no timeline for when my issue would be resolved.

My bug bear is im doing 1p challenge,sounds good yeah! but i pay to have monzo extra £3 per mth for 4% interest and enter monthly £100 draw,£100 i will never win and interest i will never see and now the interest rate has dropped well i reckon the fee should drop too by the same rate
And lastly cashback same old tosh that i never use but monzo follows what we use,well obviously they dont,ALDI single use,pretty lousy once in two yrs,ebay multiple use which was so much better twice in three yrs,but so many others i will never use,cmon monzo bring back aldi and ebay multi use,that might actually get my £3 back and help me a little bit better financially,so monzo get your fingers out stop offering car rental,TUI,and other useless stuff we are not all wealthy poshys,rant over
Stopping me being scammed
I was being scammed into paying for goods I thought my son was buying. The Monzo Fraud squad finally convinced me to stop by blocking my account as I was so hooked by the scammers. I can't thank them enough for their professional handling of what was a very distressing experience. They also refunded me in full less a £100 fee I was glad to pay. They are a great bank all around.

Monzo is not my main account, I used it to make a couple of regular charity payments. When I first opened this account a few years ago, it was quite good. I was impressed with ease of use, and responsive customer service. You could actually get hold of someone and resolve queries easily. Sometime ago, came along a 'new' feature called 'flex'. I signed up. At the time I (thought) I understood it to be a sort credit card, into which you make payments to pay of a debt.
Now I want to close this account, move over the two payments to my main account and close this Monzo account. But it has become one of the MOST difficult things to do. It's just a complete nightmare and takes so much of one's time. Trying to navigate the APP is web of confusion, taking you from here to there but never making it easy to do the thing that you want. Their phone support is limited and they send you back to APP. The APP chat support is SO BAD. You leave a message, and then someone gets back to hours and hours later. The questions is half answered, and you have to leave another message and this cycle continues. There's so many silly and pointles features - like this 'flex', and numerous 'pots' that don't seem to go anywhere. I've still not acheived what I set out to do a few days ago. I'm just glad that this is not my main account. These 'online' banks (some of them at least) can be so gimmicky and provide next to zero customer support. That's the worst.
Incorrect Advice
Had Personal accounts (My wife and me) and a joint account.In addition we had our saving ISAs. As I am 79 and my wife 77, we had to get help on few transactions like ISA transfer etc. We were given incorrect advice when we tried to transfer that to another provider. The agent made us transfer that to the Current account prior to moving the money which was incorrect. This caused some problems for both of us. Agents are NOT very helpful when we decided to move the money. There were few other issues which made us move away from Monzo. Never again.

Monzo gave access to a third party…
Monzo gave access to a third party website who charged 80 times more than the pay they wrote in the website so the money was withdrawn WITHOUT MY APPROVAL and then Monzo after a process that took several months refused to reverse the payment or make refund.
So in other words my money is not safe and you can get charged with WITHOUT YOUR APPROVAL.

Worst bank they froze my account twice because I got paid from my wages and i simply transferred my money to my other bank account thats under my name. It was only about 1.1k nothing too much and they instantly froze my money. They have done this more then twice now. I’m taking my money out and closing my Monzo bank account. Worst bank to ever have to deal with. Customer service is poor and the female on the phone couldn’t even simply unblock my account although I showed screen shot of my payslip from the company I work with. It’s been more than Few minutes. I shouldnt even be waiting for a few seconds just to get my money back. This is theft. Worst bank I don’t know why I joined before maybe because of early pay. But I’m leaving Monzo for good. Join Revolut.

I reported that I’d been a victim of a scam to Monzo and provided evidence to support my fraud claim. They ‘reviewed’ my claim in minutes and effectively said there was nothing they could do despite my claim being made within hours of realising I’d been scammed.
They have incredibly poor customer service and showed no inclination to adequately investigate the claim and recover any losses from the fraudster’s account despite my claim being made fairly soon after.
I’d give them 0 starts if that was an option as the service received was beyond sub par

Withdrew all my money from my Monzo…
Withdrew all my money from my Monzo account card after numerous attempts to take fraudulent money from my account. To speak to anyone about this problem is an impossibility and a multiple of box questions to go through to explain your problem, which lead nowhere. I was told they had refunded an amount which was fraudulently taken, but this has never appeared in my account. Great card for the first couple of months then hit rock bottom quickly. Have emptied my account and froze the card, but even today another attempt to take money from my account. Advice, keep well clear of this company.

Worst bank I’ve ever dealt with. Lost card when travelling abroad and trying to sort out money etc. chat service- waited over an hour and still no reply. Customer service and even complaints dept worse than useless. If it wasn’t for Santander I’d have been screwed. Will be moving funds and closing my account when I get back.
