Beware!
I paid £200 for a chauffeur limo booking for two people. When the confirmation email from Taxicode.com arrived, it said there was only one passenger. So I emailed the taxi company directly to clarify. They replied that they had taken their company off Taxicode.com and didn't know why the booking had been accepted. They told me that they couldn't provide the limo at the intended time. So I cancelled the booking on Taxicode.com. I then received a refund of only £20. Thinking this may have been a typo, I contacted Taxicode / Web 3 Resource Ltd, only to be told that I had cancelled it myself so I was not due any additional refund. When I tried to call, the person answering said that my voice was breaking up, and I was cut off. When I tried calling back, the call was not answered. Then, when I did get through again, the refund was again refused. So I am down £180 with what seems like little possibility of redress. Of course, if they do the decent thing, I will come back and amend this review.
Edit 1: After the very kind personal intervention of the owner of the taxi company concerned, I have received an email from Taxicode saying that a further refund will be sent. I do not yet know if it will be the full amount. Either way, I will update this review if/when it is received.
Edit 2: After a few days of not knowing, I have received an email from PayPal's Dispute Resolution Centre (where I also raised a case) saying that a £180 refund will be issued shortly.
Edit 3: £180 refund received. But what a carry-on. Beware!
