An offer is not an offer?
I received what I believed to be an offer only to find out when I arrived that it was in fact NOT an offer. I was also told "we do not dicker". The rep did his thing while I waited & came back with an offer almost $1000.00 less than the number in my e-mail interactions. I told the rep it was not acceptable & he asked what I would take. I told him & he sent the info somewhere & came back with $600.more.They also charge a $250.00 documentation fee that was not disclosed up front to my knowledge. All of this is no reflection on Matt,the company Rep. He did his job, worked to get me some more money & our overall interaction was very pleasant

We are sorry that some misunderstandings prevented you from receiving a five-star customer service experience.
Firstly, I want to clarify that the valuation you received online on 11/23 was not an offer. As it stated on our website and in the valuation email, valuations are provided as an estimate for informational purposes only and do not constitute an offer from webuyanycar.com. Like all professional buyers, we always carry out an appraisal of the vehicle before making an offer and the offer is based on physical and mechanical condition as well as other factors such as mileage and the history of the vehicle.
There was some additional damage to the vehicle beyond what was declared online which Matt should have explained to you. I see that Matt was able to get most of that forgiven after working with our pricing team and we cut you a check close to the online estimate back in November.
We do disclose on our website that there is a documentation fee. It's one of the lowest documentation fees in the industry. This is also outlined in the valuation email you received and should have been explained when we spoke to you to confirm the appointment. We record all calls for quality and training purposes and will check to make sure we didn't drop the ball.
We owe it to you, and to Matt, to ensure that you have a five-star customer service outcome. Our people rely on your positive review for their customer satisfaction score so we're happy to do whatever it takes to address your concerns and restore your faith in our team.
