I feel our experience was okay
I feel our experience was okay. I’m not 100% sure about how I feel about being given a quote up front on the website. I had a pretty high bid from the numbers on the website, like quoted $1,800. And then got quoted $1,500 another time I had called for the same car. Then to come in, and leave with only $250.
I would’ve at least expected more for a vehicle. My dad got more $ for a vehicle with a blown motor in it.
Left a bit disappointed. When I had other places quote me $500.
It is what it is I guess.

Like any reputable car buyer, we conduct an in-person inspection of the vehicle prior to making a final offer. We operate with full transparency, so you should have been invited to join in this process. During your initial online valuation on 4/23/2025, only a minor dent and scratch were declared. Our in-person inspection unfortunately, found some more serious issues listed below.
Our test drive revealed a slipping transmission. The ABS lights, check engine light, and traction control light were also illuminated. These issues, unfortunately had a negative impact on the final valuation of your vehicle, and were the cause for such a discrepancy between your initial valuation and final offer.

Not outstanding, not terribly depressing.
Had a 2000 Honda Accord that only really needed a new gas tank installed.
We put a lot of money into it for repairs, over $7000 in the last few years, and this time we had a gas tank leak. My dad recently died otherwise he'd have helped me fix it. I was hoping to get $1000 for this car considering the work we had done on it, the new power steering pump, etc, but they considered it "un-drivable" and offered me $200 only after I expressed dismay when they offered me $105 after leading me on with $450 when I first contacted them. I felt at the time that I was in too deep to walk away with the car after the whole process, but I also felt like I could have sold it somewhere else for more considering the newer parts. The guy who processed the car was friendly. If you need to get rid of a car and you don't care how much they give you, I guess this is the place.
They reached out to me recently and got me closer towards what I was originally offered. Their customer support was friendly. In the end, I would say this was within the acceptable range and I'm okay with this.

You should expect a five-star customer service experience when you choose to do business with us and we're sorry to hear your in-branch experience fell short.
Reviewing the appraisal notes, I see that the vehicle was leaking gas, and we absolutely see this as a safety concern not only for our employees, but also transportation partners who transport vehicles on public highways.
In addition to leaking gas, the Honda had extensive rusting both on the body and undercarriage which was unfortunately not disclosed in the online valuation estimate.
Like installing a new hot water cylinder in your home, replacing worn out parts does not increase the value of a used vehicle, although they can maintain the vehicle's value taking into account the age, mileage, and overall condition. Ultimately, a 25-year-old Accord with 188,000 miles in poor condition has little remaining value and fixing the gas tank would exceed the resale value of the vehicle with all the rust and those miles.
We're pleased that we were able to get you a price you were happy to accept but understand you changed your mind about selling and will be happy to reach out to you today to discuss options. Given the overall condition and safety concerns, you are looking at an end-of-life car.

Great experience dealing with the rep, and the process. The rep was knowledgeable, informative and transparent throughout the entire process. I gave it 4 stars, because they didn't offer me what I was hoping for and they weren't willing to negotiate to sweeten the deal slightly more my direction. They made me feel like they would, but ultimately they didn't. I didn't like that.

Good Service and Good People Still Exist!
We could not have had a better experience! Not only did we get a great offer on our vehicle, the service was second to none. From the initial home visit and inspection by Sean, to the personal service provided by Matt who helped us navigate the final steps of getting verification of lien release. Compared to KBB, Car-Max, and our local dealer, we got more for our car, and far superior customer service. I highly recommend them!

This could not be further from the truth. Like any buyer, we do complete a professional appraisal of the vehicle which includes physical and mechanical checks, a short test drive, and some diagnostic tests. Minor things such as small dents and scrapes are usually forgiven as normal wear and tear but if there are bigger issues such as more severe damage or mechanical faults, we will adjust our offer to reflect the true market value as any buyer would. So long as you tell us about any issues when completing the online valuation, there should be no surprises at the branch.
We do business by appointment and document all appraisals with detailed notes, photographs, and diagnostic reports to ensure every vehicle appraisal is completed with fairness and integrity. I was unable to find an appraisal for you in our system, so I'm concerned that you may be drawing conclusions that are not based on a customer service experience with our team in your local community. If you have had an appraisal and our team has treated you badly, we will make it right immediately and take robust action.
