It was physically located the closest…
It was physically located the closest to our home of all of the other companies (Carvana, Carmax, AutoNation, etc.). I had planned to visit several of them, but did not go any further. The initial quote was in line with the other companies and they stuck to their price. The lady in charge, Cheryl, was extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and a pleasure to deal with. I had an appointment which probably helped. It was done in about 40 minutes. I left with a check in hand. I got less than what the Blue Book suggested for a private sale but there were no hassles or scammers to deal with.

I have escalated your complaint to the manager of the buyer who assisted you in Mentor, OH and they have made multiple attempts to reach you.
The online valuation is an estimate based on the information you provide about the vehicle. We hate surprises as much as you do, which is why we ask you about the vehicle's condition. I see from information provided online that you stated the Hyundai had no damage or any mechanical issues. Like any buyer, we do carry out an appraisal of the vehicle and our offer is based on the overall condition of the vehicle. Our team should have made you aware of the inspection process on the confirmation call.
During our appraisal we noted damage to the muffler, burn holes in the driver's seat and extensive rusting of structural components underneath the vehicle. We also checked the vehicle's diagnostic systems which revealed error codes had been reset fourteen miles before we appraised the vehicle. Our AI detected abnormal engine noise, and this was verified by a human technician. As a matter of procedure, we will have the appraisal notes, photographs, and diagnostic reports checked by a senior technical expert to ensure that the findings were accurate and fair.

My experience was great the young man was very helpful and respectful. It was so nice of him to give me and my son an Uber to get home. The only thing I would improve on is to have vehicles there for sale. Ones of no high value but dependable. And this transaction can be deducted from payment being received.
