Our online valuation tool provides an estimate based on the information entered by customers. The final offer is determined after a professional inspection, which accounts for the actual condition of the vehicle. While the prior accident was declared, our appraisal confirmed that it was a disabling front-impact collision with substandard repairs, and we also found additional issues that were not disclosed online:
• Structural Damage: Both aprons in the engine bay showed signs of compromise.
• Mechanical Issues: Upper engine noise was detected during inspection.
• Physical Damage: Cracked windshield, chipped roof panel, and chipped tailgate were noted.
• Diagnostic Scan: The OBD2 scan reported an invalid data code from the Body Control Module.
• Mileage: At approximately 295,000 miles, the truck’s high mileage combined with its structural issues makes it significantly harder to resell for a good value.
These factors substantially impact market value and required an adjustment from the online estimate to the final offer. We always invite customers to join the appraisal process so they can see what we see and understand how valuations are determined.
